Welcome back to another episode of health hacks as I continue sharing my learnings and relearnings of 2024 and one of my favorite ones is simply the power of your own thoughts that are running through your head each and every day. They literally directly impact your results. And one of my favorite quotes is, whether you think you can or you think you can't, you're right, and that's by Henry Ford. And so that's what I mean, where your thoughts impact your results, if you think you can do it, and you approach something with that attitude you're going to be able to do it, and if you think you can't do it, then right away, you're shutting yourself down with that very thought. And of course, you're not going to be able to to accomplish whatever it is that you're setting out to do. So your thoughts are literally leading to your behaviors, which then lead to your results. And so if you're not getting the results that you want, start to pay attention to your thoughts. Are you talking yourself down all the time? Are you stuck in limiting decisions and thoughts of, I'm not good enough, I'm not smart enough, I'm not pretty enough, etc, that have likely been programmed in your unconscious mind ever since you were a young child. And they're very disempowering, of course. So is it time to overcome that and look into some really cool tools like timeline therapy, which allow you to release those limiting decisions and then create a space for more empowering thoughts that allow you to get out there and live your best life achieve the goals that you have put in place. It really is as simple as shifting your thoughts. Now, a lot of those thoughts are happening outside your awareness, and so that's why using tools like timeline therapy can help to get into the unconscious mind and dig down deep to discover what are those thoughts that are holding you back. However, we're having 70,000 conversations with ourself each and every day. So just increasing your awareness around your thoughts is incredibly helpful, because a thought is simply a thought. It doesn't have to be ruminated on. You can let your thoughts just come and go the way the clouds move across the sky. Think of your thoughts like that, and if that's a disempowering thought, just let it pass on by you don't have to ruminate on it. And if it's an empowering thought, then yes, absolutely, bring it in to your conscious mind and focus on it. And that is the reality of how you create the life you want, and how you might be getting in your own way simply because of your thoughts. And I love teaching people this. I love using timeline therapy with clients, because it is so empowering and it is so life changing for people to think that something as simple as our thoughts can get in our way and hold us stuck, or can actually be a a huge trigger in moving us forward in a really positive way. So just start to think about your thoughts. Have awareness around them. And anytime that you have a negative thought, just let it float on by if it helps. Put up a stop sign. Nope, not taking that thought on it doesn't serve me, and let it float on by.
