Speaker:

Welcome to the Peak

Speaker:

Revival Podcast.

Speaker:

My name is Vesna Herster.

Speaker:

Today, I want to talk about.

Speaker:

How you can stop working

Speaker:

harder and the physics of

Speaker:

accelerating your success.

Speaker:

So as you go about your year

Speaker:

and your goals, I want to talk

Speaker:

to you about an approach, a

Speaker:

nonlinear approach to change.

Speaker:

So whatever your goal is,

Speaker:

personal health, life goal,

Speaker:

work, career, aspirations,

Speaker:

hobbies, then this can

Speaker:

help you for you to make a

Speaker:

quantum leap, a 10x leap,

Speaker:

rather than an incremental

Speaker:

leap in what you want to

Speaker:

achieve with a lot less effort

Speaker:

may sound too good to be true,

Speaker:

but let me talk about it.

Speaker:

so one of my favorite

Speaker:

books of all time is This

Speaker:

one called You Squared

Speaker:

by Price Pritchett.

Speaker:

it's an amazing book.

Speaker:

It's 37 pages.

Speaker:

It packs a punch.

Speaker:

There's no fluff.

Speaker:

It's absolute gold with big

Speaker:

ideas and principles and some

Speaker:

of the stories I want to share

Speaker:

with you from this and my

Speaker:

own personal experience that

Speaker:

could help you to see things

Speaker:

a little bit differently,

Speaker:

remove some of the frustration

Speaker:

and the pressure from you

Speaker:

in achieving what you want

Speaker:

to achieve and, showing

Speaker:

you some big key ideas.

Speaker:

So if you've ever found

Speaker:

yourself working really

Speaker:

hard for something and

Speaker:

still not achieving it.

Speaker:

Whether it be, you know,

Speaker:

you tried really hard with

Speaker:

your health and lifestyle,

Speaker:

or something within your

Speaker:

business to grow, but

Speaker:

you're still not there yet.

Speaker:

Or, if you're anything like

Speaker:

me, where I work so hard

Speaker:

that I make it look harder

Speaker:

than what it should be.

Speaker:

I feel like that's something

Speaker:

that's been part of my

Speaker:

identity, to make things

Speaker:

look really hard in order

Speaker:

to be deserving of it.

Speaker:

Okay, sounds crazy, but if

Speaker:

you're anything like that.

Speaker:

This is going to help.

Speaker:

So for me, this book in

Speaker:

the first page or the,

Speaker:

or the second page where

Speaker:

it begins, really kind

Speaker:

of jumped straight at you

Speaker:

and really packs a punch.

Speaker:

Um, where it talks about

Speaker:

a story, of struggle and

Speaker:

effort and hard work,

Speaker:

not leading to anything.

Speaker:

Okay.

Speaker:

And so what this book

Speaker:

really talks about is

Speaker:

making a quantum leap.

Speaker:

So what does that mean?

Speaker:

So in quantum physics, it

Speaker:

uses language from quantum

Speaker:

physics when it talks about

Speaker:

how a particle makes an

Speaker:

explosive jump from one

Speaker:

place to another without

Speaker:

any apparent effort and it

Speaker:

covers all the bases from

Speaker:

start to finish but without

Speaker:

actually doing all the steps.

Speaker:

Okay, so what that means

Speaker:

is that we assume success

Speaker:

is one step at a time.

Speaker:

And when Price Pritchett

Speaker:

is talking about a quantum

Speaker:

leap, we're looking at

Speaker:

jumping from like 0.

Speaker:

1 to 0.

Speaker:

10 without any

Speaker:

apparent effort.

Speaker:

Okay, and he mentions that

Speaker:

this explosive jump in

Speaker:

your personal performance.

Speaker:

puts you far beyond the

Speaker:

next logical step when we're

Speaker:

trying to execute a goal

Speaker:

or anything in our life.

Speaker:

We're always looking

Speaker:

for the steps, right?

Speaker:

Step one, step

Speaker:

two, step three.

Speaker:

And that's great.

Speaker:

And we look at people's

Speaker:

strategies and I

Speaker:

certainly do that too.

Speaker:

And it really helps me

Speaker:

to kind of get a picture,

Speaker:

but he's pointing to

Speaker:

something different.

Speaker:

Okay.

Speaker:

He's really pointing.

Speaker:

to a different place.

Speaker:

So he shares about

Speaker:

relying on unseen forces.

Speaker:

Now, what does that mean?

Speaker:

Okay.

Speaker:

It sounds a little bit

Speaker:

mystical that we're going

Speaker:

to get some intuitive

Speaker:

vibe and we're going

Speaker:

to know what to do.

Speaker:

And it is kind of

Speaker:

like that, right?

Speaker:

So what he's really pointing

Speaker:

to is that an idea from

Speaker:

our subconscious mind, some

Speaker:

intuition or some luck.

Speaker:

Okay.

Speaker:

Now I want to share a story

Speaker:

because when I was stuck

Speaker:

financially in my business

Speaker:

for this online business,

Speaker:

when I started many years ago.

Speaker:

I was working really hard,

Speaker:

not getting anywhere,

Speaker:

feeling very frustrated and

Speaker:

really judging myself and

Speaker:

panicked and had anxiety

Speaker:

about the money situation.

Speaker:

And I felt like I really

Speaker:

threw everything at it.

Speaker:

And I remember one day having

Speaker:

a conversation with my dad

Speaker:

who had been in business, he's

Speaker:

pretty much his whole life.

Speaker:

And I have to mention

Speaker:

that, like, he came to

Speaker:

Australia in his thirties,

Speaker:

he didn't even speak the

Speaker:

language, and he had multiple

Speaker:

businesses in his lifetime

Speaker:

and was very successful.

Speaker:

So, he was someone that

Speaker:

really, I could ask,

Speaker:

that knew about business

Speaker:

and about creating a

Speaker:

successful business.

Speaker:

And I asked him, I said, Have

Speaker:

you ever seen anyone work

Speaker:

this hard and not make money?

Speaker:

And he just thought, he

Speaker:

went, so many people.

Speaker:

And I'll never

Speaker:

forget those words.

Speaker:

Right?

Speaker:

Because it really struck me.

Speaker:

I was like, what?

Speaker:

I always thought hard

Speaker:

work was the way that

Speaker:

you get What you want.

Speaker:

It's the way you achieve your

Speaker:

goals and your results, right?

Speaker:

But really, you know, my dad

Speaker:

said that, you know, if you

Speaker:

look at some businesses they

Speaker:

do, they work very, very

Speaker:

hard and they end up closing

Speaker:

down after a period of time.

Speaker:

And he said it takes, my

Speaker:

dad said this, it takes

Speaker:

a little bit of luck, a

Speaker:

little bit of something

Speaker:

that you're not in charge

Speaker:

of, that you can't create.

Speaker:

It takes a little bit

Speaker:

of something to really

Speaker:

make it a success.

Speaker:

And so what?

Speaker:

Price talks about in this

Speaker:

book is exactly that, right?

Speaker:

It's a little bit of luck.

Speaker:

It's a little bit of

Speaker:

something that gets you

Speaker:

to make this quantum leap.

Speaker:

And for me, my quantum leap

Speaker:

was I had this insight one day

Speaker:

that I realized that Because

Speaker:

I was so stuck in my thinking,

Speaker:

because I was so discouraged,

Speaker:

and everything had failed

Speaker:

up until that point.

Speaker:

So I had a lot of

Speaker:

discouragement.

Speaker:

I had a lot of stories about

Speaker:

how things would pan out.

Speaker:

And I had this

Speaker:

insight about that.

Speaker:

I could see that

Speaker:

I had this story.

Speaker:

And, you know, I remember in

Speaker:

a coaching session, my coach

Speaker:

said, Well, not everything

Speaker:

you do is going to work out.

Speaker:

And That seems pretty obvious,

Speaker:

but for me, it sparked an

Speaker:

insight and I could really

Speaker:

see my mind just kind of

Speaker:

went through in like very

Speaker:

rapid succession, all the

Speaker:

stories that I had in my head.

Speaker:

And so the next thing

Speaker:

that I was implementing.

Speaker:

I thought, you know what,

Speaker:

I'm not going to get

Speaker:

discouraged, and I'm not

Speaker:

going to stop what I'm doing.

Speaker:

Because what I found was,

Speaker:

my discouragement would

Speaker:

change my behaviours, so I

Speaker:

wouldn't do things fully.

Speaker:

I would already be like,

Speaker:

day one, oh this is already

Speaker:

not going to work out, I can

Speaker:

already see this is just going

Speaker:

to be like everything else.

Speaker:

And then I wouldn't be

Speaker:

100 percent in, right?

Speaker:

I would be already

Speaker:

20 percent out.

Speaker:

And as each day went

Speaker:

on, I was even more out.

Speaker:

So I wouldn't do, wouldn't

Speaker:

send the emails, wouldn't

Speaker:

do the things that I needed

Speaker:

to do in order to get the

Speaker:

results that I wanted.

Speaker:

Right.

Speaker:

And after that insight, the

Speaker:

next thing that I was putting

Speaker:

out there, the thoughts did

Speaker:

come up, the discouragement

Speaker:

was there, but I realized

Speaker:

from the insight that Oh,

Speaker:

this is what I do every time.

Speaker:

Okay.

Speaker:

I'm going to ignore

Speaker:

it this time and let's

Speaker:

see where it goes.

Speaker:

And honestly, just that

Speaker:

was enough for me to

Speaker:

see that how much I was

Speaker:

holding myself back.

Speaker:

So that was my subconscious

Speaker:

mind kicking in and

Speaker:

giving me an insight to

Speaker:

say, Hey, stop stopping.

Speaker:

Okay.

Speaker:

Not everything you do

Speaker:

is going to work out.

Speaker:

Stop stopping.

Speaker:

And that insight

Speaker:

radically changed my

Speaker:

business and my life.

Speaker:

Okay.

Speaker:

And I, and I'm not

Speaker:

even exaggerating.

Speaker:

It's.

Speaker:

It was a complete game

Speaker:

changer for me and not in

Speaker:

all insights are like that,

Speaker:

but that one really was and

Speaker:

it stays with me forever.

Speaker:

The power of a clear mind.

Speaker:

And that's also what Price

Speaker:

Pritchard says in this book

Speaker:

is that clear understanding of

Speaker:

where we're going and moving

Speaker:

in that direction, taking

Speaker:

action in that direction.

Speaker:

So it's not saying that we're

Speaker:

not working towards our goals

Speaker:

and making the health changes.

Speaker:

We want to be open to unseen

Speaker:

forces to come in for support.

Speaker:

So don't, you know, often

Speaker:

the best we can do is what

Speaker:

we've done in the past.

Speaker:

Okay.

Speaker:

We're not, you know, I

Speaker:

always say the reason why

Speaker:

I share stuff like this is

Speaker:

because one, we put a lot

Speaker:

of pressure on ourselves.

Speaker:

We put a lot of judgment when

Speaker:

things don't work out our way.

Speaker:

I know I did.

Speaker:

I was judging my personality,

Speaker:

who I was as a person,

Speaker:

how good enough I was.

Speaker:

Right.

Speaker:

And.

Speaker:

The truth is, we just don't

Speaker:

make as much stuff happen

Speaker:

as we think we do, okay?

Speaker:

There is unseen forces

Speaker:

that step in and make our

Speaker:

road a lot easier, give

Speaker:

us more direction, help us

Speaker:

to have that quantum leap.

Speaker:

So, wherever you are, In

Speaker:

your journey towards your

Speaker:

goals, I want you to find

Speaker:

a way that you can open

Speaker:

yourself up to unseen forces,

Speaker:

and maybe that is getting

Speaker:

more clarity, you know?

Speaker:

I find when I'm stuck getting

Speaker:

the same results, and I'm

Speaker:

so busy, and I don't think

Speaker:

I've got time, I really

Speaker:

have to pull back and stop.

Speaker:

And take a day, maybe it's

Speaker:

more than a day, to just

Speaker:

sit with pen, paper, go

Speaker:

outside, be nature, whatever

Speaker:

it is, let my mind kind of

Speaker:

uncoil and get more clarity

Speaker:

because it's from the clarity

Speaker:

that we get, our best ideas

Speaker:

and our best direction.

Speaker:

Okay.

Speaker:

And so this is again,

Speaker:

really tapping into the

Speaker:

subconscious mind, but we

Speaker:

can't use it as a strategy.

Speaker:

Sometimes I do it because

Speaker:

I know it feels right to

Speaker:

pull back in that moment.

Speaker:

But we want to be open

Speaker:

to those unseen forces,

Speaker:

however that looks for you.

Speaker:

So let me know in the

Speaker:

comments below if you see the

Speaker:

comment box, how can you open

Speaker:

yourself up to unseen forces?

Speaker:

What could you do to get

Speaker:

a different perspective or

Speaker:

get a different idea or an

Speaker:

insight about how to achieve

Speaker:

your goal with a lot more

Speaker:

ease or without any struggle

Speaker:

or very little effort?

Speaker:

Let me know in the

Speaker:
