Some people have
Speaker:this threshold
Speaker:of like, Oh my
Speaker:God, if I show
Speaker:up on a video, I
Speaker:need to be full
Speaker:makeup, full hair,
Speaker:full everything.
Speaker:But at the same
Speaker:token, you also
Speaker:want to be yourself.
Speaker:And that goes for
Speaker:any kind of content.

Speaker:and take it to

Speaker:Welcome everyone
Speaker:to our podcast
Speaker:episode today.
Speaker:We are very excited.
Speaker:We have a
Speaker:special guest.
Speaker:Her name is Nina.
Speaker:Her company is
Speaker:called Clockwise
Speaker:Production.
Speaker:Nina is an award
Speaker:winning producer,
Speaker:documentary
Speaker:filmmaker.
Speaker:She's done so many
Speaker:amazing things,
Speaker:but today we're
Speaker:going to talk about
Speaker:leveraging LinkedIn.
Speaker:I think with
Speaker:LinkedIn, what I
Speaker:really liked is
Speaker:that it is, first
Speaker:of all, it's easy
Speaker:to navigate and
Speaker:with LinkedIn,
Speaker:I just felt it
Speaker:was very clean.
Speaker:It was very
Speaker:organized and
Speaker:it spoke to me.
Speaker:To the audience
Speaker:that I was looking
Speaker:for, which are
Speaker:professionals,
Speaker:which are service
Speaker:based professionals,
Speaker:but it innately
Speaker:just felt right
Speaker:to be there.
Speaker:So LinkedIn just
Speaker:became a place where
Speaker:I felt that I fit.
Speaker:I was heard and
Speaker:I was getting
Speaker:the traction, the
Speaker:clients I wanted.
Speaker:We're so excited
Speaker:that you're going
Speaker:to share with our
Speaker:audience today,
Speaker:some tips of things
Speaker:that you use and
Speaker:that you share
Speaker:with your clients.
Speaker:Yeah.
Speaker:To help them be
Speaker:more productive
Speaker:on LinkedIn.
Speaker:So number one, we're
Speaker:going to talk about
Speaker:permission to shine.
Speaker:Tell us a little
Speaker:bit about what
Speaker:that means.
Speaker:So this really
Speaker:comes is a holdover
Speaker:sort of from my
Speaker:initial coaching
Speaker:work that I did
Speaker:with clients where
Speaker:we talked about
Speaker:video only, right?
Speaker:And that was video
Speaker:for any social
Speaker:media platform,
Speaker:not just LinkedIn,
Speaker:the learning how
Speaker:to shoot yourself
Speaker:with yours.
Speaker:Or even how to
Speaker:edit a simple
Speaker:clip or posting
Speaker:on whatever social
Speaker:media platform.
Speaker:If my clients are
Speaker:mostly boomers
Speaker:and Gen Xers and
Speaker:it was always a
Speaker:mindset game and it
Speaker:was really about.
Speaker:So giving yourself
Speaker:permission to show
Speaker:up for yourself, for
Speaker:your business, for
Speaker:your passion, for
Speaker:your expertise, for
Speaker:the authority in the
Speaker:field that you are,
Speaker:and not hold back.
Speaker:That is only
Speaker:possible and
Speaker:sustainable if
Speaker:you're coming
Speaker:from a place of
Speaker:authenticity and
Speaker:you being you and
Speaker:not you trying to be
Speaker:somebody and holding
Speaker:up something that
Speaker:you are not really.
Speaker:In, in reality.
Speaker:So for me, that was
Speaker:such a watershed
Speaker:moment where I'm
Speaker:like, okay, so
Speaker:what we're learning
Speaker:and teaching our
Speaker:clients for video
Speaker:is really true
Speaker:across the board.
Speaker:And that's where
Speaker:sort of that
Speaker:transition started
Speaker:happening where
Speaker:I'm like, I'm
Speaker:not just helping
Speaker:people with video,
Speaker:these disciplines
Speaker:that we're all
Speaker:working with in
Speaker:the marketing and
Speaker:sales field in
Speaker:the digital world.
Speaker:There's so
Speaker:much overlap
Speaker:on everything.
Speaker:We have a really
Speaker:good friend who is a
Speaker:lawyer and she went
Speaker:to a conference and
Speaker:they were talking
Speaker:about videos.
Speaker:This is well over
Speaker:a decade ago.
Speaker:And the attorney
Speaker:said, a lot of
Speaker:you are nervous
Speaker:to get on camera.
Speaker:You're afraid to
Speaker:get on camera.
Speaker:And he said, has
Speaker:anyone ever walked
Speaker:into your office
Speaker:and said, Oh my
Speaker:God, you're so ugly.
Speaker:I can't work
Speaker:with you and
Speaker:turned around
Speaker:and walked out.
Speaker:Right.
Speaker:So.
Speaker:I always try to tell
Speaker:people, like, you're
Speaker:out networking,
Speaker:you're talking
Speaker:to your family.
Speaker:We look like what
Speaker:we look like, right?
Speaker:Which often
Speaker:scares people.
Speaker:If your photos don't
Speaker:look like you, which
Speaker:we had happened a
Speaker:few times, we see
Speaker:people's photographs
Speaker:for the interviews.
Speaker:And then the person
Speaker:who arrives, you're
Speaker:like, is that
Speaker:really that person?
Speaker:So I think one of
Speaker:the powers in video
Speaker:is people know
Speaker:that what they see
Speaker:is what they're
Speaker:going to get.
Speaker:And obviously
Speaker:that's changing a
Speaker:little bit with AI,
Speaker:but I think video
Speaker:is so powerful.
Speaker:I often tell
Speaker:people you attend
Speaker:a networking event
Speaker:and you network for
Speaker:that hour or two
Speaker:or whatever it is.
Speaker:But when you
Speaker:create an awesome
Speaker:video that is just
Speaker:providing value and
Speaker:education, it's like
Speaker:you're networking
Speaker:24 hours a day,
Speaker:seven days a week.
Speaker:And that's
Speaker:what I want.
Speaker:I don't want to show
Speaker:up in full makeup.
Speaker:I mean, to me,
Speaker:full makeup is very
Speaker:little anyway, to
Speaker:begin with, but some
Speaker:people have this
Speaker:threshold of like,
Speaker:Oh my God, if I
Speaker:show up on a video,
Speaker:I need to be full
Speaker:makeup, full hair,
Speaker:full everything.
Speaker:But at the same
Speaker:time, So can you
Speaker:also want to be
Speaker:yourself and that
Speaker:goes for any kind
Speaker:of content, whether
Speaker:it is a photo or
Speaker:video or your voice
Speaker:is your voice,
Speaker:whether it's visual
Speaker:or written, that
Speaker:should always sort
Speaker:of be consistent.
Speaker:And Jeannie and
Speaker:I joke, we have
Speaker:a problem with
Speaker:that because we're
Speaker:two owners of a
Speaker:business who have
Speaker:very different
Speaker:voices, right?
Speaker:So when it comes
Speaker:to creating content
Speaker:together, sometimes
Speaker:that's a challenge.
Speaker:We like to joke
Speaker:that we bicker like
Speaker:six year olds when
Speaker:we're trying to
Speaker:write sales copy or
Speaker:content together.
Speaker:But it is important
Speaker:to have both of
Speaker:our voices show up.
Speaker:Those are two very
Speaker:different things.
Speaker:So you need the
Speaker:time to plan, to
Speaker:execute on it, and
Speaker:then to have the
Speaker:time to post it.
Speaker:So if we run
Speaker:a big program.
Speaker:We want to talk
Speaker:about that at
Speaker:least six weeks
Speaker:out, at least.
Speaker:And if it's
Speaker:something smaller,
Speaker:maybe two or
Speaker:three weeks.
Speaker:And again,
Speaker:it depends.
Speaker:Is it a 10, 000
Speaker:project or is it
Speaker:a 50 investment
Speaker:for our clients?
Speaker:And depending on
Speaker:if it's 50, we can
Speaker:go short of notice.
Speaker:If it's thousand,
Speaker:10, 000, then we
Speaker:need to have a
Speaker:long ramp, right?
Speaker:To get there.
Speaker:So that kind
Speaker:of strategy is
Speaker:really important.
Speaker:But then on
Speaker:top of that.
Speaker:And this is where
Speaker:people get sloppy
Speaker:is what does a
Speaker:post look like?
Speaker:Like what are
Speaker:the elements that
Speaker:need to go into
Speaker:a post for a post
Speaker:to be effective?
Speaker:I have a long list
Speaker:of pet peeves, but
Speaker:things like posting
Speaker:without a call to
Speaker:action, you might
Speaker:as well just not
Speaker:be posting at all.
Speaker:The call to action
Speaker:never has to be
Speaker:a salesy thing.
Speaker:It can be simple
Speaker:as Leave a comment
Speaker:below on the, when
Speaker:you give them a very
Speaker:concise question
Speaker:about the topic you
Speaker:just talked about
Speaker:to make it easy and
Speaker:quick, because if
Speaker:I have lurkers and
Speaker:90 percent of all
Speaker:people hanging out
Speaker:on LinkedIn are,
Speaker:they never post,
Speaker:they rarely engage,
Speaker:if I keep asking
Speaker:questions one day,
Speaker:they'll be like,
Speaker:This is a question
Speaker:I want to answer.
Speaker:And now I know who
Speaker:Mary Jane is and
Speaker:I can grab her and
Speaker:say, Hey, thank
Speaker:you for commenting
Speaker:on my post.
Speaker:What did you
Speaker:find the most
Speaker:interesting?
Speaker:And now I know who
Speaker:my audience is.
Speaker:And if I don't ask
Speaker:questions of my
Speaker:audience, they will
Speaker:not interact because
Speaker:they're not called.
Speaker:To do so.
Speaker:So call to action
Speaker:is super important.
Speaker:And then
Speaker:contextualizing
Speaker:your content.
Speaker:I mean, the list
Speaker:goes, there's
Speaker:seven points.
Speaker:So there's a
Speaker:lot of small
Speaker:things we can do.
Speaker:And if we do them
Speaker:regularly and
Speaker:consistently, and
Speaker:we have a routine
Speaker:around them, then
Speaker:we can focus on
Speaker:the creative part
Speaker:of writing awesome
Speaker:content that people
Speaker:will want to read
Speaker:or engage with.
Speaker:That's incredible.
Speaker:Yeah.
Speaker:I think it's so
Speaker:important to take
Speaker:the time to plan.
Speaker:And I think like
Speaker:you said, people
Speaker:don't think
Speaker:far enough out.
Speaker:If you've got a
Speaker:launch coming up,
Speaker:you have all these
Speaker:things that need to
Speaker:happen and content
Speaker:creation is a lot
Speaker:more fun and a lot
Speaker:easier when you're
Speaker:not under the gun.
Speaker:So at least when
Speaker:you do write last
Speaker:minute, then at
Speaker:least you know
Speaker:why and why you're
Speaker:doing what you're
Speaker:doing and to whom
Speaker:you're talking.
Speaker:And those are the
Speaker:clients who the dog
Speaker:throws up and the
Speaker:child has a fever
Speaker:and the husband is
Speaker:sick and there's
Speaker:an emergency,
Speaker:something or other.
Speaker:And life.
Speaker:Life happens
Speaker:every single day
Speaker:to all of us.
Speaker:So do yourself a
Speaker:favor and write your
Speaker:stuff in advance and
Speaker:have it scheduled
Speaker:or have a VA to
Speaker:post it the day
Speaker:of, if you have.
Speaker:Good rhythm
Speaker:established.
Speaker:Yeah, we always
Speaker:encourage our
Speaker:clients to be, to
Speaker:work ahead of time
Speaker:just like you do.
Speaker:And then if there's
Speaker:something that
Speaker:they feel inspired
Speaker:to post that
Speaker:day, then do so.
Speaker:And I always say
Speaker:like, you need to
Speaker:have a library and
Speaker:that's sort of where
Speaker:I really Encourage
Speaker:everybody always
Speaker:to batch produce,
Speaker:especially videos.
Speaker:The only way to
Speaker:survive the video
Speaker:game is to batch
Speaker:produce, but
Speaker:all your other
Speaker:content too.
Speaker:Like if we have a
Speaker:series of six videos
Speaker:introducing a bigger
Speaker:new product or any
Speaker:product, then we
Speaker:have pre produced
Speaker:videos and, or JPEGs
Speaker:that lead into that
Speaker:product, and if
Speaker:we're smart about
Speaker:how we create it,
Speaker:we can actually
Speaker:recycle it for
Speaker:the next time.
Speaker:It's so funny
Speaker:because I always
Speaker:think we have a
Speaker:video that We talk
Speaker:about it's easy to
Speaker:create a course.
Speaker:It's hard
Speaker:to sell it.
Speaker:Yes.
Speaker:Right.
Speaker:I think people
Speaker:don't look, we
Speaker:all love teaching
Speaker:and educating.
Speaker:So creating the
Speaker:course is fun and
Speaker:it's exciting.
Speaker:And in most cases
Speaker:it's relatively
Speaker:easy, but people
Speaker:don't realize that
Speaker:the real effort and
Speaker:time goes into the
Speaker:marketing of it.
Speaker:So I think it's
Speaker:so awesome that
Speaker:you're coaching
Speaker:people on how to
Speaker:get out ahead of it.
Speaker:And, um, I was
Speaker:kind of laughing
Speaker:to myself when you
Speaker:said batch content,
Speaker:you're number
Speaker:three out of our
Speaker:four interviews
Speaker:for today.
Speaker:So, on Tuesdays,
Speaker:we have 4 podcast
Speaker:interviews to
Speaker:for each of our
Speaker:podcasts, and
Speaker:then we actually
Speaker:have a coaching
Speaker:call this episode.
Speaker:We kind of cram a
Speaker:lot, but then we
Speaker:know, like, we know
Speaker:what we're doing
Speaker:today and we're
Speaker:kind of, it's all in
Speaker:the same framework.
Speaker:So, other than a
Speaker:team meeting that we
Speaker:have in the morning,
Speaker:like, everything is.
Speaker:We're kind of,
Speaker:we're engaged with
Speaker:you guys because
Speaker:this is what
Speaker:we're focusing on.
Speaker:We're not focusing
Speaker:on doing a million
Speaker:other tasks.
Speaker:And I also think,
Speaker:especially for us
Speaker:ladies, if we do
Speaker:want to put a little
Speaker:bit more effort in
Speaker:making sure that
Speaker:we're quaffed well,
Speaker:and then I have a
Speaker:little makeup on,
Speaker:I just, if I sit
Speaker:down to do video,
Speaker:I will not want to
Speaker:just do one or two,
Speaker:I want to do, I
Speaker:mean, I'm seasoned
Speaker:at this now.
Speaker:I can, depending
Speaker:on what the content
Speaker:is, can pull off
Speaker:up to 15 in one
Speaker:sitting, which if
Speaker:they're just teensy
Speaker:little videos is
Speaker:easy enough, but I
Speaker:just want to make
Speaker:sure that I, even
Speaker:if I don't edit
Speaker:them immediately,
Speaker:if I self edit,
Speaker:they're done,
Speaker:right there in my
Speaker:pocket, I have them.
Speaker:And if I always feel
Speaker:like if I have to
Speaker:edit this, Freaking
Speaker:thing at 2 a.
Speaker:m.
Speaker:because there's
Speaker:an emergency.
Speaker:I can do that,
Speaker:but I will edit
Speaker:one on 2 a.
Speaker:m.
Speaker:If there's an
Speaker:emergency as time
Speaker:goes, you will
Speaker:build a library.
Speaker:And that is where
Speaker:I want all my
Speaker:clients to be is to
Speaker:have that library.
Speaker:Like I'm gone all
Speaker:of September on
Speaker:a three week trip
Speaker:to the Arctic.
Speaker:I know what my
Speaker:content is going
Speaker:to be in those
Speaker:three weeks.
Speaker:I need to adjust a
Speaker:couple of things and
Speaker:shuffle a couple of
Speaker:things, but I don't
Speaker:need to worry about
Speaker:or freak out that I
Speaker:will not be posting
Speaker:for three or three
Speaker:and a half weeks.
Speaker:So that does lead
Speaker:us into consistency.
Speaker:So other than
Speaker:batching and
Speaker:kind of planning
Speaker:ahead, do you
Speaker:feel like there's
Speaker:other things that
Speaker:clients can do to
Speaker:become consistent?
Speaker:And one of
Speaker:my questions
Speaker:specifically is,
Speaker:do you think people
Speaker:over commit to
Speaker:too much content
Speaker:and then that
Speaker:derails them?
Speaker:Yes.
Speaker:Okay.
Speaker:A hundred percent.
Speaker:So my mantra is
Speaker:always, I'd rather
Speaker:have y'all posting
Speaker:once a week, a
Speaker:really good post
Speaker:than committing to
Speaker:three or four times
Speaker:a week, and then
Speaker:beating yourself up
Speaker:because you didn't
Speaker:do the first one.
Speaker:And then why bother
Speaker:with the second one?
Speaker:That's just
Speaker:never going to
Speaker:work out well.
Speaker:Need a short
Speaker:and a long term.
Speaker:But if we do
Speaker:something that is
Speaker:really attainable
Speaker:and with the support
Speaker:of a group, right,
Speaker:then, and then once
Speaker:we have the once a
Speaker:week down pat and
Speaker:we have established
Speaker:a routine for
Speaker:ourselves.
Speaker:Or with our
Speaker:VAs, right?
Speaker:For me, it's all
Speaker:about establishing
Speaker:these good
Speaker:habits that
Speaker:lead to success.
Speaker:So like I had the
Speaker:same client who gave
Speaker:me that wonderful
Speaker:compliment about
Speaker:showing up for
Speaker:his business would
Speaker:just put Monday
Speaker:from, I think 2
Speaker:PM to 6 PM was
Speaker:just his creation
Speaker:time every single
Speaker:Monday, no matter
Speaker:whether he shot
Speaker:video or just wrote
Speaker:a whole bunch of.
Speaker:Newsletters, he's
Speaker:a prolific writer,
Speaker:but it was just his
Speaker:creation time was
Speaker:that time on Monday.
Speaker:And that was
Speaker:as holy to him.
Speaker:He didn't touch
Speaker:that time.
Speaker:Not nothing else
Speaker:went in there.
Speaker:And I find that
Speaker:like for me, I'm a
Speaker:huge fan of calendar
Speaker:blocking that works
Speaker:really well for me.
Speaker:So I have every
Speaker:week, I have my
Speaker:two hours, mine are
Speaker:Sunday night, where
Speaker:I write the content
Speaker:of the next week.
Speaker:So I'm always
Speaker:a week ahead.
Speaker:I will block
Speaker:it out in my
Speaker:calendar as well.
Speaker:Like, so let's
Speaker:say we're doing
Speaker:a challenge
Speaker:in the fall.
Speaker:Um, a content
Speaker:challenge and
Speaker:that needs seven
Speaker:pieces of content
Speaker:of which most of
Speaker:them are video.
Speaker:So I'm going to
Speaker:batch produce all
Speaker:the videos together.
Speaker:And since I have
Speaker:my mindset there
Speaker:already, I'm
Speaker:also going to
Speaker:write the posts.
Speaker:You're doing these
Speaker:four interviews
Speaker:today, right?
Speaker:Your brain is in it.
Speaker:You're thinking
Speaker:about it.
Speaker:You don't have to
Speaker:rev up your brain
Speaker:again to go there.
Speaker:And you're already
Speaker:in that world of
Speaker:what you want to
Speaker:say and how you want
Speaker:to sell it and how
Speaker:you think people
Speaker:will understand.
Speaker:Best what the
Speaker:value is that you
Speaker:bring to them.
Speaker:So let's just
Speaker:knock it out of
Speaker:the ballpark and
Speaker:give yourself
Speaker:enough time.
Speaker:Because I have a
Speaker:client who does one
Speaker:on one video with
Speaker:me and he always
Speaker:sends me video.
Speaker:He promised me video
Speaker:for today, for a
Speaker:call for tomorrow.
Speaker:I know I'm going
Speaker:to get those videos
Speaker:two minutes before
Speaker:we get on the call.
Speaker:And then he's
Speaker:like, I couldn't
Speaker:perform well.
Speaker:I'm like, of
Speaker:course you couldn't
Speaker:perform well.
Speaker:Cause he gave
Speaker:yourself a half
Speaker:an hour before
Speaker:the call with me.
Speaker:Give yourself a
Speaker:three hour window
Speaker:if you need
Speaker:to on Saturday
Speaker:afternoon or Sunday
Speaker:morning when it's
Speaker:nice and quiet.
Speaker:But you need to
Speaker:allow yourself
Speaker:to set yourself
Speaker:up for success.
Speaker:The three hour
Speaker:window might become
Speaker:a one and a half
Speaker:hour window and a
Speaker:one hour window.
Speaker:But if you're not
Speaker:consistent, and
Speaker:this is a clearly
Speaker:algorithmic thing,
Speaker:If we take it back
Speaker:to LinkedIn, if
Speaker:you're consistent,
Speaker:the algorithm
Speaker:will know when
Speaker:your stuff comes.
Speaker:Oh, Nina's
Speaker:posting again.
Speaker:Yay.
Speaker:It is 10 o'clock
Speaker:on Tuesday and
Speaker:we'll show it
Speaker:to more people.
Speaker:So the more you're
Speaker:consistent and
Speaker:the more you show
Speaker:up regularly, and
Speaker:that's why these
Speaker:LinkedIn engagement
Speaker:groups are so great,
Speaker:because you sort of
Speaker:have that peer, peer
Speaker:to Peer pressure,
Speaker:engagement,
Speaker:inspiration thing
Speaker:going on of us all
Speaker:posting within the
Speaker:same time window,
Speaker:and then also giving
Speaker:each other some love
Speaker:on our content to
Speaker:make it percolate
Speaker:up a bit and not be
Speaker:posting to crickets.
Speaker:Wow.
Speaker:Having a support
Speaker:group where you
Speaker:all help each other
Speaker:out because it just
Speaker:makes total sense.
Speaker:As long as you have
Speaker:the same audience
Speaker:or you're reaching
Speaker:out to the same kind
Speaker:of people, you're
Speaker:just helping each
Speaker:other get seen.
Speaker:I love that.
Speaker:Yeah.
Speaker:And it doesn't
Speaker:even have to be
Speaker:same necessarily.
Speaker:Like in my group,
Speaker:I have a couple
Speaker:of people who are
Speaker:totally left field
Speaker:and they profit from
Speaker:it too, because I
Speaker:also feel that it's
Speaker:important to sort
Speaker:of see sometimes
Speaker:when we are in
Speaker:our own bubble a
Speaker:little too much, it
Speaker:becomes sort of too
Speaker:much of the same.
Speaker:So I think it's
Speaker:actually nice to
Speaker:sometimes, like I
Speaker:have one retailer
Speaker:in my group.
Speaker:I have a cyber
Speaker:expert in my group.
Speaker:I'm in another
Speaker:group that I don't
Speaker:run where there
Speaker:is a, you know,
Speaker:Bless his heart.
Speaker:There's a
Speaker:financial advisor.
Speaker:I never know what
Speaker:to write on his
Speaker:post, but still it's
Speaker:like, Oh, and then
Speaker:there's this world
Speaker:and there's these
Speaker:people who also
Speaker:really important
Speaker:that service my
Speaker:kind of people,
Speaker:which is service
Speaker:based entrepreneurs.
Speaker:So it's kind of
Speaker:nice to have a
Speaker:little cross breeze
Speaker:going through every
Speaker:once in a while.
Speaker:Now LinkedIn has
Speaker:started asking
Speaker:for live video.
Speaker:Is that right?
Speaker:Is that something
Speaker:new to LinkedIn?
Speaker:Not new.
Speaker:So live video has
Speaker:been around for a
Speaker:long time, but it
Speaker:was only available
Speaker:if you had your
Speaker:profile in so called
Speaker:creator mode, now
Speaker:that they're doing
Speaker:away with creator
Speaker:modes per se, now
Speaker:everybody has two
Speaker:or three months old
Speaker:that everybody has
Speaker:access to live where
Speaker:LinkedIn differs
Speaker:from other platforms
Speaker:is that you can only
Speaker:stream through a
Speaker:third party vendor,
Speaker:which has its
Speaker:advantages for sure.
Speaker:It's a bit.
Speaker:Complicated
Speaker:and there's a
Speaker:lot of steps to
Speaker:doing it and I'm
Speaker:actually putting
Speaker:an SOP around it.
Speaker:But anyways, it is
Speaker:the best performing
Speaker:and the highest on
Speaker:the ranking of how
Speaker:much love content
Speaker:gets from the
Speaker:LinkedIn algorithm
Speaker:live is definitely
Speaker:on the very top
Speaker:of it and it also
Speaker:trickles down to
Speaker:what you do right
Speaker:after the live.
Speaker:For a couple of days
Speaker:after the live, you
Speaker:keep having that
Speaker:elevated status.
Speaker:Is that something
Speaker:that you need
Speaker:to, like, set up
Speaker:as, as an event
Speaker:and promote, you
Speaker:know, beforehand?
Speaker:That's, that's what
Speaker:I would recommend.
Speaker:Yeah.
Speaker:So the steps are
Speaker:sort of, once you
Speaker:have all the, all
Speaker:the assets, you
Speaker:wanna set up the
Speaker:event and then
Speaker:you go onto the
Speaker:third party PLA
Speaker:flat platform and
Speaker:it lets you fold
Speaker:in the event,
Speaker:into the platform,
Speaker:and then you take
Speaker:it from there.
Speaker:Now, will you go
Speaker:back to hosting
Speaker:your live show
Speaker:or was there a
Speaker:reason why you
Speaker:paused from that?
Speaker:I paused last
Speaker:summer because
Speaker:I'd done two and a
Speaker:half years of it.
Speaker:I felt that the
Speaker:topic, I just, I
Speaker:wasn't inspired
Speaker:by it anymore.
Speaker:And I think it
Speaker:showed because three
Speaker:guests canceled in
Speaker:a row, short notice.
Speaker:And I'm like, okay,
Speaker:this is, this is a
Speaker:clear sign that I
Speaker:need to reinvent it.
Speaker:And then I had so
Speaker:much content and
Speaker:so much going on.
Speaker:I didn't
Speaker:really miss it.
Speaker:I now have a co
Speaker:hosted show with
Speaker:a client of mine.
Speaker:I'm going a little
Speaker:more into fine art
Speaker:photography and
Speaker:she's an artist and
Speaker:we want to bring the
Speaker:conversation about
Speaker:art to LinkedIn.
Speaker:So we launched last
Speaker:month and tomorrow
Speaker:we have our second
Speaker:conversation and
Speaker:we're inviting
Speaker:very strategically
Speaker:different people
Speaker:out of the art world
Speaker:that sort of fall
Speaker:into, I mean, we'll
Speaker:have some artists
Speaker:as well, but it's
Speaker:like curators,
Speaker:collectors,
Speaker:gallerists,
Speaker:people, architects,
Speaker:uh, Damar is an
Speaker:architect who
Speaker:builds with art
Speaker:in mind and public
Speaker:spaces for art.
Speaker:So it's just a
Speaker:nice way to, a
Speaker:very different
Speaker:conversation, but.
Speaker:The beauty of it is,
Speaker:as I know from doing
Speaker:the podcasts is it's
Speaker:just endless amounts
Speaker:of content that
Speaker:because you have
Speaker:the show, you're
Speaker:announcing the show,
Speaker:you're putting out
Speaker:snippets of the
Speaker:show, and before
Speaker:you know it, your
Speaker:calendar is full.
Speaker:And so that's a
Speaker:great way to get
Speaker:to consistency with
Speaker:your content too.
Speaker:That's fantastic.
Speaker:And is there a
Speaker:limit on how long
Speaker:that live LinkedIn
Speaker:show can be?
Speaker:I don't think so.
Speaker:I mean, I'm sure
Speaker:there is maybe
Speaker:three hours or
Speaker:something like that.
Speaker:I know that the
Speaker:ideal time is around
Speaker:20 minutes, but
Speaker:I find for me, I
Speaker:find that too short
Speaker:for a conversation
Speaker:with the guests,
Speaker:I think for a
Speaker:solo, that would
Speaker:be appropriate,
Speaker:but I might guess
Speaker:things have always
Speaker:been about 45
Speaker:to 50 minutes.
Speaker:Cause I then, that
Speaker:is one thing I give
Speaker:to a professional
Speaker:editor and I make
Speaker:sure that I get
Speaker:between three and
Speaker:five clip that I can
Speaker:then use later on.
Speaker:And is there a
Speaker:best, yeah, is
Speaker:there a best day
Speaker:and time to go live?
Speaker:Oh, life.
Speaker:I think it depends
Speaker:on your time zone.
Speaker:It depends.
Speaker:Like a lot of us
Speaker:have become global.
Speaker:So what audience
Speaker:are we catering to?
Speaker:Like I always
Speaker:have that magic.
Speaker:My magic time
Speaker:is between 10 a.
Speaker:m.
Speaker:and 2 p.
Speaker:m.
Speaker:because I spend a
Speaker:Nearly half of my
Speaker:time in Europe.
Speaker:So I want to make
Speaker:sure that I have
Speaker:something that I
Speaker:can commit to no
Speaker:matter whether I'm
Speaker:in Switzerland or
Speaker:I'm in New York.
Speaker:So that is sort
Speaker:of the 10 to
Speaker:two works really
Speaker:well for that.
Speaker:And then again,
Speaker:I think the
Speaker:consistency
Speaker:factor is the most
Speaker:important thing.
Speaker:If you want to
Speaker:attract a mom crowd,
Speaker:you're probably
Speaker:going to do it at
Speaker:11am when the kids
Speaker:are in kindergarten.
Speaker:Or if you are
Speaker:attracting the
Speaker:commuter, you might
Speaker:be doing it in
Speaker:the morning when
Speaker:people are on their
Speaker:commute or at 5pm.
Speaker:So I'm never too
Speaker:nervous if there's
Speaker:not too many people.
Speaker:Engaging, because
Speaker:I know that I'm
Speaker:using this for
Speaker:the afterlife of
Speaker:it more so than
Speaker:anything else.
Speaker:This has
Speaker:been amazing.
Speaker:How can people get
Speaker:in touch with you if
Speaker:they want to learn
Speaker:more about LinkedIn?
Speaker:Follow me on
Speaker:LinkedIn because
Speaker:I know it's not my
Speaker:website and I'll
Speaker:be happy to give
Speaker:my website and
Speaker:my email as well.
Speaker:So by following
Speaker:me, Nina Farouk,
Speaker:I'm the only
Speaker:one on LinkedIn.
Speaker:That's a nice
Speaker:thing to be with
Speaker:an impossible last
Speaker:name like mine.
Speaker:So please just
Speaker:follow me on
Speaker:LinkedIn and
Speaker:send me a DM.
Speaker:A direct message.
Speaker:I'll be happy
Speaker:to chat with you
Speaker:if you have any
Speaker:further questions.
Speaker:And my website is
Speaker:clockwiseproductions.
Speaker:com.
Speaker:That's also a
Speaker:great place to see
Speaker:a little bit more
Speaker:of what we do.
Speaker:You also have a
Speaker:free offer, a free
Speaker:gift for our guests.
Speaker:Is that correct?
Speaker:Yeah.
Speaker:So the
Speaker:aforementioned seven
Speaker:steps to a perfect
Speaker:LinkedIn post,
Speaker:and I trust you'll
Speaker:put the link into
Speaker:the show notes, is
Speaker:just a very simple
Speaker:little infographic
Speaker:where I took
Speaker:one of my posts.
Speaker:And sort of numbered
Speaker:the different
Speaker:elements, a quick
Speaker:little description,
Speaker:what it is and why
Speaker:it is important
Speaker:to get it right.
Speaker:We have the same
Speaker:thing as a checklist
Speaker:for our client where
Speaker:we encourage them
Speaker:in the beginning
Speaker:when they started
Speaker:writing their posts
Speaker:that they have that
Speaker:handy to make sure
Speaker:that they don't
Speaker:leave anything out.
Speaker:So that is
Speaker:important.
Speaker:Perfect.
Speaker:This has been
Speaker:fantastic.
Speaker:Thank you for
Speaker:joining us today.
Speaker:We really appreciate
Speaker:you, Nina.
Speaker:Thank you so much
Speaker:for the opportunity
Speaker:to talk about
