Hey, what's up, champions?
Speaker AThis is your host, Neal, and I want to welcome you back to another Fire podcast today.
Speaker AToday, I'm going to talk with you about your season of preparation.
Speaker AMan, That's a big topic today.
Speaker ASpecifically, I want to point out to you that your season of preparation today and the work that you're willing to put in today for that dream or vision or goal that you have, you're either going to pay up front or you're going to pay later with regret.
Speaker AMan, that's fire.
Speaker AWhat do I mean by that?
Speaker AWell, you're either going to put the work in now, even when it feels like no one else is watching, and even when it feels like you're not producing any results but you're going to reap a harvest of success later, or you're going to delay.
Speaker AAnd then later on when you should be reaping success, all you're going to reap is regret and disappointment.
Speaker AWell, I don't want that to be you, and I know you don't either.
Speaker AMan, this is a big topic.
Speaker AWe're going to jump in today.
Speaker AI'm fired up for this, and I know you are also.
Speaker AGet ready.

Speaker CThen strap in because I'm locked in and all in.
Speaker CThis is the Executive Perspective.
Speaker AHey, what's up, champions?
Speaker AThis is your host, Neal Reyes, and I want to welcome you back to the Executive Perspective.
Speaker AToday we have a fire episode for you today.
Speaker AToday I'm going to be talking with you along the lines of preparedness.
Speaker ABut specifically, I want to drive home the point that you either pay up front or you pay with regret.
Speaker AAgain, today we're talking about preparedness.
Speaker AAnd what I mean by preparedness is, are you prepared when your big moment comes, that thing that you want so bad, that dream that you can just taste, you can see what life on the other side of that success really, truly feels like and looks like.
Speaker ABut when you think about that, there's a level of preparation you're going to have to show up with if you really want to taste the fruits of that labor.
Speaker AYou know, it's one thing to have big dreams, but if you're just living in a dream where one of these days or someday this would be nice, then you're really not putting in the work to be ready when your moment calls.
Speaker AIn fact, I want to take it a step further and I want to issue a challenge to you today.
Speaker AThis is a challenge of your mindset that if you're living for the moment where you're waiting for your big breakthrough, then it's time to shift your thoughts from waiting for it to creating it.
Speaker AAnd I'm going to say that again because that's big right there.
Speaker AIt's one thing to wait for your big opportunity, it's one thing to wait for your moment in the spotlight, but it's a whole nother to pick up your future and create it.
Speaker AIf there's an outcome you want to see in life, then you need to get after it and create it.
Speaker AAnd it may not turn out exactly like you pictured, or it may turn out a whole lot better, but at least you have something you're striving toward to build.
Speaker ABut if you don't begin to put the work in, and if you're not putting in the preparation time when you have the time, then you're going to be waiting for a day to come along that may never show up.
Speaker AIn other words, if you're waiting for life's big break, that may show up or that may not.
Speaker AYou know, life is not a game of chance.
Speaker AYou know, here on the executive Perspective.
Speaker AAnd I say this in every episode we do, we have three main topics that we focus on.
Speaker AWe focus on leadership, business strategy, and personal development.
Speaker AAnd as high performers, you can try to wait for life's big break, and I'm not speaking against that, or that it'll never happen.
Speaker ABut rather than living life and putting your success up as a game of chance, why not as a high performer, go out and start to design the future that you're hoping shows up?
Speaker AYou know, this is a significant thing right here, and it's.
Speaker AWhat I refer to is that you're either gonna pay up front or you're gonna pay with regret.
Speaker AYou're either gonna put the work in now, ahead of time, so that when the moment shows up, you're ready for it.
Speaker AYou're either going to pay up front, or when your moment comes and you miss it, you're going to pay with regret.
Speaker AThe first point I want to take you to is that the hype feels good.
Speaker ABut habits, habits build greatness.
Speaker AMan, that's significant right there.
Speaker ABecause sometimes you have a lot of hype inside you.
Speaker AYou know, sometimes you'll go to a personal development conference or you'll go to a motivational conference, like listen to an amazing speaker, and you'll leave that place just electric.
Speaker AI mean, you'll leave there with an adrenaline high.
Speaker AYou're endorphins.
Speaker AYou have your dopamine kick while you were there, and you can't wait to the next event because that thing was life changing.
Speaker ABut between point A and point B, and point A being the convention you're coming out of and point B being the next event you're going to head to, however much time is between that, what are you doing with the time you have in the middle?
Speaker AYou know, there's the time of preparation, but there's also a time of execution.
Speaker AAnd people who execute without preparation don't always get the desired outcomes or results they wish they'd have.
Speaker AAnd those who simply stay in a preparation mode and prepare and prepare and prepare, but they never get out and execute.
Speaker AThey'll never see their dreams come to fruition either.
Speaker ABut I will tell you that you have to be dialed in and locked in.
Speaker AYou have to understand how time works within your success timeline.
Speaker AYou have to understand that there's a time to prepare, there's a time to build, and there's a time to execute, and there's a time to reap.
Speaker AAnd when you do that, it's a continual cycle that plays itself over and over.
Speaker AThe difference is it gets bigger and bigger because your dreams get bigger, your goals get bigger.
Speaker AAnd as your circle of friends gets bigger, and that's not always by volume or number, I'm talking about that the.
Speaker AThe group of friends you have, as you start hitting success and getting among the right crowds and getting in the right rooms, you start to develop friendships with people that their mindsets are greater than what you've been used to.
Speaker AAnd when you have friends who are growing their mindset or who have mindsets greater than what you're used to, just by hanging around them, you'll find that after time, they stretch you.
Speaker AThey stretch you in your beliefs, they stretch you in your thinking.
Speaker AThey stretch you in the next big goal that you're after.
Speaker AYou know, those friends will never put down what you've done.
Speaker AThey'll never put down where you came from, and they'll never put down where you're headed.
Speaker ABut what they will do is they'll challenge you on where you're headed.
Speaker AThey'll challenge you on how fast you're going to get there.
Speaker AThey'll challenge you on whether or not if you're dreaming small or if you're dreaming big, but they'll also support you and they'll help you.
Speaker ABut it's about you making the mental shift in your mind that rather than living life and waiting on your success as a game of chance, you're gonna get out there and do the deep work and get prepared so that you're ready to when your opportunity comes.
Speaker AMotivation can get you started.
Speaker AThat's true with anybody.
Speaker AYou know, so many people rely on motivation to get them started, and they rely on motivation to keep them going.
Speaker ABut only consistency will get you results.
Speaker AI'm going to say that again.
Speaker AYou know, oftentimes I speak that I fully believe, but it's also because I've learned and I've experienced it that consistency is the key to success.
Speaker AAnd if you were consistently showing up day in and day out, the things you're doing in private eventually will manifest themselves in public.
Speaker ANow, when I say manifest, not trying to get all New Agey, because there's a lot of people today who have beliefs that they can manifest whatever future they want.
Speaker AAnd I don't necessarily agree with that.
Speaker AI do believe in the biblical principles because I'm a faith man, and I do believe in the biblical principles that a man shall reap that which he sows.
Speaker AI do believe that where the mind goes, the man will follow.
Speaker AI do believe that seed will always produce after its own kind.
Speaker ABut you have to be willing to do the work.
Speaker AYou have to be willing to sow the seeds, cultivate the ground, water the seed, and take care of that seed as it grows and produces.
Speaker AAnd eventually you're going to have yourself a harvest.
Speaker ABut if you want to bring to fruition those things that are in the desires of your heart, then it's going to require some action from your part.
Speaker AAnd action leads to preparation when the hype wears off.
Speaker AIn other words, when you have motivation in your heart and you're all hyped up to do this thing that you want, your habits are what you will fall back on.
Speaker AI'm going to say that again.
Speaker AIt's not the hype or the excitement of that thing that you want to do that's going to carry you forward.
Speaker AAnd I'm not speaking against hype.
Speaker ABecause you know what?
Speaker AI'm hyped about the things I'm doing.
Speaker AI'm hyped about this show.
Speaker AI'm hyped about the rest of the podcast I get to do this week.
Speaker AI consider it to be a blessing and an honor to do those things.
Speaker ABut hype will only carry you so far.
Speaker AAnd you got to be cautious about relying on hype.
Speaker ABecause when the hype or the excitement or the motivation wears off, whether if it's because it just wanes or because you're not stoking and feeding that flame, you're not fanning the flame, or whether you're just tired and feel a little stretched or feel a little wore thin or whatever it is, and the motivation seems thin.
Speaker AIt's your habits that are going to be what are there for you to fall back on?
Speaker AHow are you showing up every single day, day in and day out?
Speaker AAre you being consistent with how you live and are you being consistent with what matters to you?
Speaker ANow that brings us to our first Leadership Truth Bomb of the day.
Speaker AMan, I got to tell you, I really enjoy being able to drop these leadership truth bombs because they resonate with me.
Speaker AThey mean something to me.
Speaker AAnd when I'm going back and editing these episodes, I go back and review those leadership truth bombs.
Speaker AThey're not just savvy quotes.
Speaker AThese are things that resonate and mean something.
Speaker ASo here's our first leadership truth bomb of the day.
Speaker AYou don't rise to the level of your hype or your motivation.
Speaker AYou fall to the level of your habits.
Speaker AI'm going to say that again.
Speaker AYou don't rise to the level of the hype or your motivation.
Speaker AYou fall to the level of Your habits.
Speaker AIn other words, what are you preparing for?
Speaker AWhat do your habits say about you?
Speaker AYou know, I've heard people say before that they, if they were to follow you all day long for just 24 hours, a 24 hour period, they would be able to tell you where you're going to be in your future just by studying your daily habits.
Speaker AThey're not looking at necessary things like mindset.
Speaker AThey're not looking at things like potential or things of that nature, talents.
Speaker AAll they're looking at is your daily habits.
Speaker AWhat does your daily routine reveal or say about you?
Speaker ANow that brings us to our second point.
Speaker AThis is our next point for today.
Speaker ADiscipline is a down payment on the future you want.
Speaker AThat's fire right there.
Speaker ADiscipline is the down payment on the future you want.
Speaker AYou know, motivation might get you in the game, but to keep you in the game, that's going to require some discipline.
Speaker ADiscipline is what keeps you going.
Speaker ADiscipline is what helps you show up day after day doing the work even when others can't see it, even when it feels like no one's paying attention.
Speaker AIt's the discipline and the consistency in the discipline that will bring the results that you want.
Speaker AAnd every time you're sowing discipline into your future, it's like you're making a down payment on the future you desire.
Speaker AYou know what's not very popular nowadays?
Speaker AAt least I don't think it is.
Speaker AMaybe I'm wrong, but I remember when I was growing up as a child, one of the things that you would hear was that there were a lot of stores that would let you buy things on layaway.
Speaker ARemember layaway?
Speaker ANow if that is still out there, forgive me because I just, I don't think it's that popular anymore.
Speaker ABut you know, when I was growing up, you know, we had parents.
Speaker AMy parents had grown up through generations where the idea of layaway had started and maybe it even started before them.
Speaker ABut I think it started with our parents and then we grew up with it.
Speaker AAnd there were stores that would do layaway and layaway for all the people are like, what in the world's layaway?
Speaker ALayaway is where you'd be able to go to a store, you'd pick out the items that you wanted.
Speaker ANow I remember that even that back to school time and things like that, people would do this, but they'd go select the clothes that they wanted.
Speaker ABut usually it was for bigger items.
Speaker AMaybe there was some furniture you wanted, or maybe there was a new washer and dryer you needed or whatever it was, but you'd go pick it out and you'd go to the store and buy it.
Speaker AAnd what they would do is they'd hold it in the back for you and you would agree to come in every.
Speaker AI don't even know how it worked fully, but maybe it was every week.
Speaker AEvery other week it was different.
Speaker APreach store.
Speaker ABut you would show up and give a little payment towards that, and then you'd come back a couple weeks later and you give a little payment towards that.
Speaker AAnd then eventually, after enough weeks and enough payments, you had paid it off.
Speaker AAnd guess what got to go home with you that day.
Speaker AIt was the thing you put on layaway.
Speaker AWell, your future can't be treated like it's being put on layaway.
Speaker AIn other words, what I mean by that is if your thought process is that you'll put a little work in here today and then you'll come back in a couple of weeks and put a little more work in, then a couple weeks later, maybe a little more work in.
Speaker AI'm not saying that you can't eventually get to where you want to be by putting your future on layaway, but if you're really going to commit to this thing you want to do, then you got to put the work in every single day.
Speaker AYou got to make the choice that you're going to show up for yourself big.
Speaker ABecause if you really want that future that you're saying is important to you, then you're going to put the work in and the discipline in that matches it.
Speaker AThat really backs up what you're saying on whether or not this thing is important to you or not.
Speaker ANow, I'm not trying to give you tough love today, but I want to be able to help you and meet you right where the rubber meets the road.
Speaker ABecause here on this podcast, we have one direction we move.
Speaker AI say this all the time, but our one direction that we move is forward and upward.
Speaker AWe're about gaining new ground.
Speaker AWe're high performers who come together to sow into ourselves and grow our abilities because it's important for us to connect with our best self, our best future, our best performance.
Speaker AThose things matter to us and they resonate.
Speaker ABut in order to do that, you got to put in the deep work.
Speaker AEvery decision you make today, it's either going to be a deposit or it's going to be a withdrawal from your future success.
Speaker AWho?
Speaker AThat's big right there.
Speaker AI'm going to say that again.
Speaker AEvery decision you make today, you need to treat it that it's either A deposit or it's a withdrawal on your future success.
Speaker AIn other words, your decisions, they're like an ATM machine.
Speaker AAnd you're.
Speaker AEvery time you make a decision, you're either putting money in the ATM and putting it towards your future success, or you're pulling money out and you're withdrawing your future success early.
Speaker AThat's how you have to treat it.
Speaker AWhen you're making choices around your success, you gotta be willing to put in work now so that you can enjoy it later on.
Speaker AAnd the more work you put in now, and with the right plan, you'll be surprised how fast your success shows up.
Speaker AAnd you can start enjoying it sooner than you think.
Speaker ANow, the other thing I want to tell you is that you'll either pay the price now.
Speaker AAnd how do we pay that price?
Speaker AWe pay it in effort, but you're either going to pay that price now in effort, or you're going to pay it later and regret.
Speaker AOh, man, that speaks right there.
Speaker AThat is such a heavy thought that you're either going to pay it now with effort or you're going to reap it later and regret.
Speaker AMan, I'm going to tell you, nobody wants to live with regret within their life.
Speaker AThat doesn't mean regretting or building a future where you're always living in regret, living in the past.
Speaker ABut what I'm saying is that your future is in your hands.
Speaker AThe future outcome you desire.
Speaker AIt's in your hands.
Speaker AAnd while you may not be able to control every circumstance around you, you can control what you do with your time today.
Speaker AAnd you can control the choices and decisions you make that gear you up or shape you for the future that you've already decided inside in your heart that that's the future you desire to live.
Speaker ANow that brings us to our next and second leadership truth bomb of the day.
Speaker AYou either pay with discipline or you pay with disappointment.
Speaker AI'll say that again.
Speaker AYou're either going to pay with discipline or you're going to pay with disappointment.
Speaker ANow, that brings us to our third point of the day.
Speaker AYour private habits will shape your public results.
Speaker AWhoo.
Speaker AThat's fire right there.
Speaker AYour private habits will shape your public results.
Speaker AIn other words, what you do in private behind closed doors, even when nobody's watching, those are the things that show up every day in public life.
Speaker AI'm going to say that again.
Speaker AThe things that you do in private, when you do those things and you're disciplined and you're consistent, those things will show up in public whether you mean to or not.
Speaker ABecause it's who you are.
Speaker AYou know, I say this in every episode we have because I want you to at least hear it from one person every day.
Speaker AAnd I've endeavored to be that person.
Speaker AAnd what I want you to hear is that I believe in you, Champion.
Speaker AI believe you have greatness living deep down on the inside of you.
Speaker AYou just have to continue to cultivate it, grow it and develop it.
Speaker AAnd if you do those things, after a while, that thing is going to produce and show up on the outside where others can see it as well.
Speaker AAnd they may think you're an overnight success in those areas.
Speaker ABut only you know the work that you put in day after day putting in the work to cultivate and develop your greatness so that others could see it as well.
Speaker AAnd when you do that, you don't even necessarily have to try to put it on display, because it's just become who you are.
Speaker AAnd who you are always shows up loud on the outside when it's coming from the inside out.
Speaker AMan, I'm telling you, this speaks today.
Speaker ARemember, your private habits will shape your public results.
Speaker AYou know who you are when no one's watching, man, that goes to determine what others see when the spotlight turns on.
Speaker AI'm going to say that again.
Speaker AWho you are when nobody's watching, that determines what others see when the spotlight turns on.
Speaker AYou know, if you've been called to be a content creator of some sort, maybe you're building your brand and you're trying to create videos or something.
Speaker AAnd you got the best camera equipment, you got the best lighting, you got the best editing skills, man, you got it all.
Speaker AYou've even got the best outlines and the best material.
Speaker ABut if you're not confident speaking in front of a camera, then guess what you got to do.
Speaker AYou got to get in front of a camera, you got to hit record, and you got to start speaking.
Speaker AAnd even when you don't like what's coming out on the other end, go back and study it.
Speaker ADon't be rate it, but go back and study it.
Speaker AMark down what it is that you don't like, even if it's just a mental note, mark down what it is you don't like.
Speaker AAnd as you identify what you don't like or what you want to do better, then you practice it.
Speaker AAnd with rhythm and reputation, you do it over and over and over again.
Speaker AAnd as you do that, eventually that thing that you saw on camera that you didn't like will begin to dissipate.
Speaker AIt'll begin to Be overwritten with something new.
Speaker AAnd as it's overwritten with something new, that's the new you coming out.
Speaker AThat's that greatness you are cultivating on the inside of working to bring it out so that others could see.
Speaker AHabits are the proof of who you're becoming.
Speaker AThey're not just what you're doing.
Speaker AHabits are the proof of who you're becoming.
Speaker AThey're not just what you're doing.
Speaker ANow that brings us to our third leadership truth bomb of the day.
Speaker AConsistency in the dark is what earns clarity in the light.
Speaker AWhoa, that's powerful right there.
Speaker AConsistency in the dark is what brings clarity in the light.
Speaker AYou know, when I'm talking about the dark, what I'm talking about is that's when you're working, when no one else has seen you.
Speaker AThat's the dark work right there.
Speaker AThat's the deep work.
Speaker AThat's the stuff you're doing when the shining light is not on you.
Speaker AThat's you going and putting in the work because it matters to you.
Speaker AAnd even when those around you question what you're doing or question why you're doing it, maybe they're even starting to question about the success because they're not seeing the fruits of it yet.
Speaker AWhen you have a vision deep down inside of you, what makes the vision so strong is that you're able to see the vision come to pass long before anyone else is able to see it.
Speaker AYou know, I remember hearing a story about Walt Disney, and I believe it was when he was creating Disney World.
Speaker AIt might have been Disneyland, but I'm pretty sure it was Disney World.
Speaker AIf I get the story wrong, then please forgive me, but Walt Disney had a vision of what that theme park was going to look like.
Speaker ABut if you know the story of Walt Disney, he had cancer and he died before he was able to see it come to fruition.
Speaker AAnd on the day of its grand opening, one of the people who were there were speaking to Mrs.
Speaker ADisney, and they were interviewing her, and they said, what do you think Walt would say if he could see what this place looks like today?
Speaker AAnd Mrs.
Speaker ADisney corrected that individual and said, you need to understand it's not what Walt would think if he could see this place today.
Speaker AIt's because the fact that he was able to see it first is the reason why it's here today for the rest of us to see it.
Speaker AMan, that's a loaded statement right there.
Speaker ANow, that may not be word for word how it was said, but that's the sentiment behind it.
Speaker AIn Other words, what she understood and what she knew so well by being married to Mr.
Speaker ADisney was that it wasn't that he wished he could see what it looked like.
Speaker AIt's the fact that he didn't need to be there to know exactly what it was like, because it was his vision he had deep down on the inside of him that he was able to cultivate.
Speaker AHe was able to grow, and he was able to develop.
Speaker AAnd as he did that with rhythm and discipline and reputation and consistently showed up over and over again, that thing became so loud on him on the inside that he was able to bring it on the outside.
Speaker AAnd even though it took others to build it for him, what they built wasn't something he wished he could see.
Speaker AIt was something that he saw long before they were able to build it.
Speaker AAnd it was the belief in something inside him, that vision inside him, that gave them the blueprint of what to build.
Speaker AMan, I'm telling you, this is significant right here.
Speaker ANow, that brings us to our fourth point today.
Speaker AAnd our fourth point is that small choices have compounding effects.
Speaker AIn fact, I'm going to say it more like this.
Speaker ASmall choices compound into major outcomes.
Speaker AOh, that's a fire way of saying that.
Speaker AYou know, I've talked before that where you're at today is based on the choices you made yesterday.
Speaker AAnd where you'll be tomorrow is based on the choices you make today.
Speaker AYou know, if you were to be investing money today, the number one thing you want to look for when you're investing your money is you're obviously focused on the return or the rate of return.
Speaker ABut what determines the rate of return is the type of compounding interest you have.
Speaker AIn other words, how fast is that money, that investment, compounding itself because it's in the compound effects that makes it grow.
Speaker ANow, sometimes you have large interest that can help it compact quickly, and sometimes it's little interest.
Speaker ABut even when things are small, compounding effects have a way of producing major outcomes.
Speaker AIt's not always the big moments in life.
Speaker AIt's the small moment.
Speaker ASometimes it's those repeatable actions that define your trajectory.
Speaker AYou know, I've said it before that if you're out on the ocean and you're in a boat, or if you're in the air and you're flying a plane, just a simple 1 degree calculation to your right or to your left can have giant outcomes in the destination you arrive at.
Speaker ANow, given enough time, the longer the time or the longer the distance, that 1% degree of adjustment, that 1 degree of adjustment takes you even further off course or somewhere totally different.
Speaker ALittle adjustments, little tweaks make some of the biggest impacts.
Speaker AAnd even when you don't feel like you're successfully doing that, understand that little decisions lead to compound effects.
Speaker AYou know, your habits may seem invisible today, but they'll be obvious in your results tomorrow.
Speaker AYou know, sometimes we form habits that we do day after day, and sometimes we don't think those are making earth shattering things or earth shattering results.
Speaker ASometimes it feels like, you know, is this really producing?
Speaker ABut the habits that you're doing today, those habits that might seem invisible.
Speaker AWell, I'm going to tell you that those habits have a way of showing up in your results tomorrow.
Speaker AYou know, if you take someone who's trying to get in shape, for example, you know, if they've been eating little more loose than they should, in other words, they've been eating all the wrong things and now they put on some weight if they want to go get in shape.
Speaker AEating one healthy meal is not going to turn that situation around.
Speaker AIt's them showing up day after day, eating the right thing, doing the right thing.
Speaker AAnd when they eat the salad or whatever healthy meal they're having today, when they weigh themselves tomorrow, it might make a difference, or it might not make a big difference at all.
Speaker ABut those choices, consistent choices done over and over and over throughout the day, they'll have compound effects that later on show up and tomorrow success.
Speaker ANow, I'm using weight as a simple example because it's something easy for people to understand.
Speaker ABut sometimes it's something much bigger than that.
Speaker ASometimes it's the daily routines.
Speaker AYour, your success is hidden in your daily routines.
Speaker AWhat are those habits you're maintaining today?
Speaker AAre you putting in the work that you need to?
Speaker AAre you making sure you're showing up on a daily basis over and over again, doing what you need to?
Speaker AHave you cultivated the habit of reviewing your goals every day?
Speaker AAnd if you have, then maybe you need to do it every day at the beginning of the day and every day at the end of the day.
Speaker AAnd if you're doing that, then maybe you need to also carry them around with you.
Speaker ASo you do it every day.
Speaker AWhen you start your day at home, you pull them out of your wallet or your purse and you read them again during the day, and then you read them again at night when you get home.
Speaker AAnd you keep them in front of you constantly.
Speaker AAnd you ask yourself the question, am I moving the needle in these areas today?
Speaker AOr more effectively, how am I going to endeavor to Move the needle in these today.
Speaker ABut the more you keep those goals in front of you, the more real they become.
Speaker AAnd the more real those goals become to you, the more you do things to bring about those results.
Speaker AAnd you need to start going through the exercise.
Speaker AI felt led to say this.
Speaker AYou need to start going through the exercise.
Speaker AMaybe you're already doing a good job of reviewing the goals, but maybe you need to start picturing yourself that once that goal gets accomplished or once you accomplish that vision or that dream, what does life look like for you and that future version of yourself after you've achieved that dream or that vision or those goals?
Speaker AIf they showed up to lunch with you today, what are the things that they would tell you?
Speaker AWhat are the areas of encouragement that they would give you?
Speaker AAre there areas that they knew you struggled with and they wanted to give you a little encouragement to tell you to keep on keeping on?
Speaker AAre they going to tell you that the late nights you're doing because they understand you had a 9 to 5 and you were trying to build your dream around that?
Speaker AThat required sometimes you going to bed later than you wanted to, but they're telling you keep on keeping on, that it's important to take care of your body.
Speaker ABut right now we're in a season where you got to not, I'm saying you got to continue to take care of your body, but if you got to sacrifice a little sleep right now, or you got to stay up a little later than what you want, or maybe it's not that you stay up later, but maybe you just close out your evening the way you intended.
Speaker AYou know, maybe you want to spend your evening playing video games or you wanted to turn around and spend it watching TV or reading a book.
Speaker AAnd I'm talking like a, you know, like a fantasy book or a thriller or something like that.
Speaker ABut maybe what they're telling you is, hey, future self says, hey, we're going to have plenty of time for that.
Speaker AIn fact, if you put the work in now, you know how much time we like to spend on the beach.
Speaker AWell, later on we're going to be able to go on the beach and choose any beach we want because we're so successful and read as many books as we want on those vacations.
Speaker ABut right now, right now we got to put in some work.
Speaker AAnd even though it feels like nothing's happening for us, you just keep on keeping on.
Speaker ABecause on the other side of this, holy smokes, it turned out even better than we thought, man, those goals that we had, we smashed those goals.
Speaker AThat vision and dream we had, that thing led to another vision, another dream.
Speaker AAnd when we finished the first one and then jumped on the second one, we accomplished that thing in record time.
Speaker AAnd then we moved on to the third dream, and then the fourth and the fifth, and now we're on the tenth dream.
Speaker AAnd I got to tell you, each one just keeps getting louder and louder, but we're also knocking it out faster and faster because we have momentum on our side.
Speaker AMan, those are the types of exercises you need to do with yourself, that you walk yourself through.
Speaker ANow, that may be foreign to you, but remember, I'm not just a podcast host.
Speaker AI am also an advanced mindset coach.
Speaker AThis is something I do professionally where I help people with this, and as I help people with this, I help them to shift their mindsets.
Speaker AIt's what I've coined with my other clients, and I say it even in my intro.
Speaker AAnd I actually have other podcasts directed to this.
Speaker AIt's what I've coined as jumping into the weight room of the mind.
Speaker AJust like there's a weight room for the physical body, there's a weight room of the mind.
Speaker AAnd when you're learning to stretch the way you think, or to transform or change the way you think, or to grow your mindset to think and do different things in new ways, well, sometimes you got to get in the weight room of the mind and you got to move some weight around.
Speaker AYou got to push against and push through the resistance.
Speaker AAnd as you do that on a daily basis, over and over again, with the right things, the right exercises, you can grow yourself into someone that you never thought you could become.
Speaker AYou may have had an idea that you could be greater than what you're currently living today, but connecting with who you truly can become, I'm telling you, that's wide open in front of you, and it's wide open for you to surprise yourself.
Speaker AThese are powerful things.
Speaker ANow that's going to bring us to our fourth and final leadership truth bomb of the day.
Speaker AEvery ordinary habit.
Speaker AI'm going to say it again.
Speaker AEvery ordinary habit has an extraordinary consequence.
Speaker AOh, that's fire right there.
Speaker AEvery ordinary habit that you have has an extraordinary consequence.
Speaker AIt can produce.
Speaker AI'm telling you, this is fire right here.
Speaker AUnderstand that preparation, your season of preparation and your season of execution, that's where you're at right now.
Speaker AAnd if you're saying, well, that's not me, that's where I need to be, but that's not where I've been, then make the quality decision today, right now, as you're listening to my voice, to show up for yourself louder than you have before, show up for yourself faster than you ever have before.
Speaker AYou don't need to go away and think about this thing.
Speaker AWhat is there to think about?
Speaker AIf you already know you want something more than you have today, if you know you want to be or do or accomplish something greater than you're doing today, then there's nothing you need to think about.
Speaker AYou just need to make the commitment to grow.
Speaker ABecause remember, Champion, I believe in you.
Speaker AAnd if I believe in you, I want to encourage you that you should believe in you also.
Speaker AI believe in you, Champion, because I know that you have greatness deep down on the inside of you.
Speaker AYou just have to continue to cultivate it, grow it and develop it.
Speaker AAnd as you do those things, that greatness that's on the inside of you is going to come bursting out at the seams and it's going to show up on the outside for others to be able to see as well.
Speaker AWhatever that thing is that you're preparing for, that you need to be preparing for, I want to encourage you today to go out and smash that thing.
Speaker AGo out and smash it and give it your best.

Speaker AAnd I know we got good information here on this show and I believe something good is happening to you today.
Speaker AThere's good stuff here today.
Speaker AYou showed up and listened to a Fire podcast day, and what that tells me is that you care about your future.
Speaker AYou care about your development.
Speaker ABut if you care about your development, then that tells me you probably care about others as well.
Speaker AAnd even if it's others you don't know or the closest ones to you, share the podcast with them.
Speaker AHelp us share this with others by leaving those reviews so that we can get it out in front of others and help them connect with their best life and their best performance as well.
