Chrissi

Foreign.

Roxy

I'd love to play a little game with you if you're up for it.

Chrissi

Yeah.

Roxy

All right. Okay. So the name of this game is Midlife Myth or Total Truth. So you'll have to decide if each statement is a midlife myth, which is false, or total truth, which is real. Okay. So the first one is you'll care less about what people think when you are in your 40s than when you did in your 20s.

Chrissi

True.

Roxy

Hallelujah.

Chrissi

Thank goodness. Yeah.

Roxy

Yes, Absolutely. Okay. Women in midlife are more likely to start businesses than men in midlife.

Chrissi

Yes. True.

Roxy

Right. Don't you think I kind of feel right?

Chrissi

Yes, yes. This is the time where it's like, it. It is time. Like, whatever ideas, like, we are ready to do the things at this stage. It's like, we don't. We're not. There's so much less fear, I feel like, of failure now versus, you know, in decades past.

Roxy

Everyone has a calling. You just have to find it.

Chrissi

Truth. Yes. And it doesn't have to be, oh, this big, huge, prestigious thing. I mean, you never know what you're going to mean to the community around you. And so, yeah, you just have to find it. Yeah. And the way you find it is learn. You put yourself out there. You're not going to find your calling by just staying in your house, you know, sitting on your couch, doing nothing.

Roxy

There's like that quote that's like the definition of insanity is doing the same thing every day but expecting a different outcome, different result. Yes. So you do. You have to put yourself out there. You have to change things up for sure. Okay. Sex gets better after 40.

Chrissi

Ooh. See, I am just starting to get in 40 and so far it's really good. I would say. I would say truth. I would say, yes.

Roxy

You know, it totally. I agree 100%. And I think, too, I think for me, it's because I'm a lot less self conscious about my body. Even with my husband. You know, it's like before, you know, I think just now, like, it is what it is. You know, it's like, yeah, because, I.

Chrissi

Mean, you think about, like, your husband's body, you're not judging his body for having some changes. I'm not just like, oh, where's, you know, what's going on here? Like, I don't care. I love you and I'm happy where I'm at. So you have to realize that that goes both ways. You know, there. There's no judgment from me, you know, for whatever aging that's happening for him and vice versa. He's not judging me. He's just. He's just happy.

Roxy

Exactly. He should be grateful, right? As they all should. You have to be fully healed before starting over. Is that a midlife myth or a total truth?

Chrissi

Total myth. I feel like the expect expectation of being fully healed. Like, when are we fully healed from anything? Let's be honest. And so wa. Perfect moment or being fully healed, like, oh, you can't do anything until you've checked this box. Absolutely not.

Roxy

I agree. And you heal as you go, right? It's like, truly, with the new things that you're doing, the new opportunities actually give you a chance to heal. So start it. You don't have to be fully, fully healed, everyone. Midlife is the beginning of your second act, not the end of your first.

Chrissi

Totally true. Like, this is it, you guys. This is amazing. I am so thrilled and, like, exhilarated at everything that there is to come. There is no morning. I mean, I can. I can look at my. My youth in my earlier days, and I'm not gonna cry over. I can look at it fondly and be like, yeah, that was amazing. That was really, really cool. But, gosh, the life experience and the knowledge and perspective I have now, like, this is where it's at.

Roxy

This is a hundred percent where it's at. Like, this is. This is the era. This is the era we talked about, right. On your show. We talked about Taylor Swift's eras, and now we're in our era. This is our era. The midlife era.

Chrissi

Yes. Midlife era is the best. Like, I am thrilled by it. I feel like this is the sweet spot. These are the good old days right now. I'm thrilled to be here.

Roxy

Yes. And we should take every moment, every day in the present as it happens, and really, really appreciate it, you know?

Chrissi

Truly. Truly.

Roxy

Oh, my gosh, Chrissy, you are so amazing. Thank you for coming on the iconic Midlife.

Chrissi

Oh, you are welcome anytime. It's been so fun. It's been a pleasure. I love that you had me on.

Roxy

Oh, absolutely. We had so much fun on your show as well.
