Hello, good morning, good afternoon, good night, good day, how are ya?
Speaker AIt is the TTP field manual.
Speaker AI am your host, Joshy.
Speaker AIt is just me today.
Speaker AI do not have Jonny with me.
Speaker AHe has been called away to do big boy jobs in his big boy job.
Speaker AWhich means you're whether you know, unfortunate or fortunately that up to you.
Speaker AYou're stuck hearing just me.
Speaker ABefore we get into today's episode, I just want to remind you that we do have a Instagram TTP field manual.
Speaker AYou can listen to us, you can see us post stuff, you can just have more of us in your life.
Speaker ABut let's say you don't want to listen to us on social media.
Speaker AThat's okay.
Speaker AJust listen to us on your podcast app.
Speaker AWhy don't you leave us a review on Spotify, on Apple, wherever you want it and maybe just tell your friends.
Speaker AOkay.
Speaker AI've been listening to this Cool as podcast.
Speaker AThere's these.
Speaker AThese guys usually two, sometimes there's one.
Speaker ABut there's these guys that do a great podcast.
Speaker AThank you very much.
Speaker AWhat else do we got?
Speaker AWe got our book club.
Speaker AThe next episode that comes out will probably be our book club discussion on Fulgrim Horus Heresy Book club.
Speaker AThat is Horace Heresy book number five.
Speaker AYou don't need to read one through four to understand what's realistically going on in Fulgrim.
Speaker AWe've already announced what our next book club is though.
Speaker AAngel Exterminatus.
Speaker AAnother Horus Heresy book.
Speaker AI don't actually know what number it is, but you can listen to it or read it and eventually we'll do a book club on it.
Speaker AThat's all the sort of show notes.
Speaker AProbably wondering if you didn't read the title.
Speaker AWhat are.
Speaker AWell, not what are we.
Speaker AWhat am I going to be talking about today?
Speaker AWhenever you know, Johnny has not been available in the past.
Speaker AMy usual co host here on the TTP field manual.
Speaker AI just pulled out an episode that we've held in reserve.
Speaker AActually, no, that's only happened once.
Speaker AThis will be twice.
Speaker AThe only other time that's has happened where he's been unable to make our recording.
Speaker AI put out Lord Invocatus, a episode of Lore around just a singular character that was left over from our scripts and recording sessions last year when we're doing an end of year Advent calendar of sorts.
Speaker AToday I'm going to be talking about another character that I had written a script for that was never recorded.
Speaker AWhat that means is this episode is probably going to be a little bit shorter.
Speaker AThose advent Episodes were short to begin with, and now when it's just me talking to you, without Johnny to weigh in on some commentary, probably won't be too long of an episode.
Speaker ABut who am I talking about?
Speaker AI'm going to be talking about Gabriel Seth.
Speaker AGabriel Seth is the chapter master of my favorite of the Space Marine chapters, the Flesh Terrors.
Speaker AThe Flesh Terrors are successor chapter of the Blood Angels and they are possibly my favorite.
Speaker AI'm going to just say they're my favorite because I already said that.
Speaker AI'm just going to keep that claim going.
Speaker ASo who are the Flesh Terrors?
Speaker AFriends?
Speaker AThe Flesh Terrors are one of the most, if not the most infamous of the loyalist Space Marine chapters.
Speaker AThey have existed all the way from the second founding.
Speaker AWhich if you're not too sure what that means, that is just shortly after the Horus Heresy, when all the loyalist legions gather themselves and they sort of think, hmm, Horus Heresy, real bad.
Speaker AHow can we avoid this?
Speaker ALet's split everybody up.
Speaker AAnd the Flesh Tearers were one of the first to be shoon off of the normal Blood Angels legion.
Speaker ASince then they have garnered an incredibly violent range reputation.
Speaker AThey were founded in reverence to Nasir Ammit, the Blood Angel's fifth captain throughout the Horus Heresy, who had the nickname of the Flesh Terror.
Speaker ANasir Amit was a viciously violent, anger driven Astartes with almost no fuse to his temper.
Speaker AWhen the Blood Angels Legion were instructed to split up, he basically swore off Guilliman, Ultramarines primarch who set about the whole splitting of the legions.
Speaker AHe swore him off for doing exactly that, and then led his newly formed chapter on a crusade to hunt down the traitors.
Speaker ADoing so for hundreds of years and suffering many casualties along the way before settling the death world of Cretacea.
Speaker ACretacea would be kind of like a primal tribute to the chapter.
Speaker ACretacea is a planet filled with natural predators, some even rivaling the Imperial Titans in their size.
Speaker AThese predators would be hunted of course, for security, because they pose quite the risk.
Speaker ABut there's also a bit of fun to be had in hunting something huge, isn't there?
Speaker AThe Flesh Terrors would discover humans with an almost prehistoric nature to them.
Speaker AUpon the planet, a race of humankind determined, pure and with minimal mutation, but relatively no linguistic intelligence.
Speaker AThrough space marine indoctrination, you could essentially teach these people.
Speaker ADespite the lack of language, the savages of Cretacea would become then the chapter's recruits.
Speaker AYou know, pretty athletic, pretty resilient people surviving on this world of dinosaurs.
Speaker AAnd whatnot.
Speaker AI have a quote here from Nasir Amit.
Speaker AWe named it Cretacea, from the ancient baal.
Speaker ASanskrit, meaning birth of wrath.
Speaker ALike us, Cretacea was a consummate killer.
Speaker AViolence lived in its very air.
Speaker AIts winds were the lash of a terrible beast striking out to flay us from the skies.
Speaker AIts clouds void dark phantoms whose acid tears stripped the crimson from our warplate.
Speaker ADeath met us at every turn, tested our resolve and measured our strength.
Speaker AWe were as the angels from old Terran legend, trapped in hell itself.
Speaker AYet for all of our trials, cretaceous wrath was far from spent in Nasir Amit, Chapter Master of the Flesh Terrorist during the declaration of conquest.
Speaker ACretacea 238m31.
Speaker ANow, Nasir Amit wasn't long for this world.
Speaker AHis eventual death was mysterious and without public reason.
Speaker ABut the twilight of his life was filled with such anger and despair, you know, sorrow from the loss of his primarch, Sanguinius, anger at the, you know, breaking apart of the Blood Angels boy band.
Speaker ADespair for the deaths of his own chapter over the years.
Speaker AAnd his chapter was more so likely to fall to the Black Rage than the other chapters of the Blood.
Speaker AAnd before settling the planet, he witnessed many of these, you know, brothers of his, his brethren, succumb to the black Rage, wherein you lose all sort of faculty and go into just a mindless, berserk fury until eventually you die in battle or someone puts you down.
Speaker AI have another quote for you.
Speaker AMen crave food.
Speaker AThey crave flesh.
Speaker AThey crave power.
Speaker AWe are not men.
Speaker AThe Emperor's angels, his space marines crave honour.
Speaker AThey crave retribution.
Speaker AThey crave justice.
Speaker AWe are not angels.
Speaker AWe are the blood.
Speaker ASons of Sanguinius.
Speaker AWe crave only violence, bloodshed.
Speaker AThere is no void deep within our souls, only the hunger.
Speaker AAn insatiable call to slaughter.
Speaker AFrom the final dialogues of Nasir Amit.
Speaker ASo that was a bit of an intro, you know, a bit about the Flesh Terrors, a bit about Nasir Amit, the founding, the early days, their homeworld, yadda do.
Speaker ANow, for the millennia that followed, the Flesh Terrors gained a few fearsome reputation.
Speaker AAcross the battlefields of the Imperium.
Speaker AThey displayed extreme carnage against their foes, plunging themselves without really any sort of strategy into their foe and letting their battles just play out as they will.
Speaker AWhether they fell in battle or they were victorious, survivors would be observed wielding grisly trophies.
Speaker AYou would have Imperial commanders shunning the chapter for their actions.
Speaker AAnd those that had fought with them in the past began to avoid them as allies in following conflicts.
Speaker ASome chapters of Space Marines even deciding, nuh, not doing it.
Speaker AI'm not working with the Flesh Terrors.
Speaker AThey are psychos.
Speaker ANow where does Gabriel Seth fit into all this?
Speaker ASo much of Warhammer 40K happens in, well, the 40K, if you were paying attention.
Speaker AThe founding of all of the Flesh terror stuff was 31,000.
Speaker AA lot of the gap between the Horus heresy publications and 40k is left relatively unexplored.
Speaker AIt's a bit of a myth, a bit of a mystery of time.
Speaker ABut Gabriel Seth has definitely been the chapter master of note for the Flesh Tearers for their presence within the 41st millennium.
Speaker ANow, Gabriel Seth was inducted as chapter master almost 200 years before the eventual devastation of Bhaal, which we'll talk about.
Speaker AAnd Seth inherited quite the burden.
Speaker ANow, the chapter was pretty much in ruins.
Speaker AThe reputation we've already touched upon, not good.
Speaker AThe Black rage, very common.
Speaker AThe attrition rates in battle, pretty darn high.
Speaker AThe chapter had quite little life in it.
Speaker AAnd even the various sanguinary priests, which are a Blood Angels version of a medic or an apothecarian, basically confirmed this.
Speaker AThey were on their last legs.
Speaker ABut Seth, quite a quite a hot headed, you know, force of will.
Speaker AThis fellow Gabriel Seth aggressively decided, aggressively being the keyword.
Speaker AHe would not let his chapter go quietly, but not at the cost of their honour.
Speaker AHe's very loyal to his chapter, he understands his chapter, but he was going to do all that he could to make sure they would be as okay as they could be.
Speaker AWhat this entailed was that he would actually deploy the Flesh Tearers extremely far from other loyalist forces, so that his chapter could go about their own manner of war uncensured.
Speaker AThere would be no other Imperial forces who could observe and therefore criticise the Flesh Terrors because they were yonks away.
Speaker ABut because the Flesh Terrors are pretty bloodthirsty, Seth could not keep them idle for very long.
Speaker AAnd so he decided to essentially continue the chapter as a bit of a crusading force from world to world to world.
Speaker ABut he would obviously need more recruits.
Speaker ASo the homeworld of Cretacea under Seth's decree became a lot more industrialized, producing more weaponry, more recruits.
Speaker AAnd as the somewhat crusading fleet of the Flesh Tearers would save various systems, dealt with pretty testing foes, and obviously not doing too much in the way of collateral damage anymore.
Speaker AMore on that later.
Speaker AThe sort of reputation of the Flesh Terrors did slowly improve.
Speaker ANot really to dissuade the People they'd already wronged in the past.
Speaker ABut newer faces on the block weren't, you know, too displeased with them.
Speaker ABut Seth would, you know, take a lot of the brunt of censure.
Speaker AHe would actually be ridiculed by other Chapter Masters of the Blood, meaning other Blood Angels and their successors.
Speaker ABut he could care less.
Speaker AAt some point, a chaos orchestrated civil war befell the Blood Angels.
Speaker AThis would be so impactful that the chapter itself would sort of be crippled.
Speaker AAnd Chapter Master Dante of the Blood Angels requested a tithe of meereens to be transferred from the Flesh Terrors to the Blood Angels.
Speaker AAnd instead of honoring the tithe, the Chapter master Gabriel Seth would basically tell them to F off and said, if you're so weak, you may as well step aside and let us take over.
Speaker AOh boy.
Speaker ABut you know, that's just another day in Blood Angels politics.
Speaker AAt some point, Gabriel Seth would even have to fight the notorious Astaroth, the Grim.
Speaker AAstaroth the Grimm is sort of the Grim Reaper of the Blood Angels, a winged jet packed individual carrying a bloody axe whose whole purpose is to travel the galaxy following the sort of psychic beacon of more Blood Angels Marines and their successors succumbing to the black rage and obviously really aware of the Flesh Terrors.
Speaker AHigh concentration of fallen to the rage fall into the music.
Speaker AAnd Seth would at some point, snap, be like, nuh, not having any more of this, and would fight him.
Speaker AHe would fight Astraf and tell him to f off.
Speaker AAnd then once upon a time, not once upon a time following that, Seth would eventually be called to, you know, defend his chapter, defend his reputation because he's told Dante to F off, he's told Astaroth to F off.
Speaker AAnd people weren't, you know, particularly pleased about all of this, as you could imagine.
Speaker ASome even within his own chapter would think he's really sabotaging the whole chapter.
Speaker AThey're going to be forfeited, they're going to be annihilated, they're going to be assimilated.
Speaker ASomething's going to happen if they keep this up.
Speaker ADespite the good that Seth is doing, defending their honor, improving their reputation.
Speaker AThere would even be members within the Flesh Terrors that would, you know, conspire to lock him in a sort of holy place.
Speaker ABut he was not alone.
Speaker AHe was trapped with a, you know, Imperial Assassin, very good at killing people.
Speaker AAnd well, Seth dealt with that.
Speaker AHe dealt with the conspirators.
Speaker AHe told them to F off with his fists and all this sort of stuff.
Speaker ADoes eventually lead the man to be called to sort of answer for all his bad behavior.
Speaker AHe gets sent to the.
Speaker AThe principal's office, you know, and, you know, despite what he does, despite helping the Blood Angels deal with the whole chaos civil war or the chaos orchestrated civil war, you know, despite, you know, fighting people left and right, there would be several people, including Astaroth, that would actually say, you know what?
Speaker AHe's all right.
Speaker AHe's just doing his best.
Speaker ABut as of yet, Gabriel Seth has not crossed the Rubicon Primaris, which is essentially mumbo jumbo for being one of the brand new fellows on the block, the more beefed up space Marine.
Speaker AHe's not done it yet within the lore, but despite that, he's huge.
Speaker AHe's an immense figure.
Speaker AHe's over a head taller than most marines.
Speaker ASo he's like, what, eight, nine feet?
Speaker AAnd if you can't tell by now, Gabriel Seth is a blunt, vicious, fearless, weapon made man.
Speaker AHe would one day explain to Dante that the nature of the flesh terror is to seek conflict, to never be idle, to never be predictable.
Speaker AYou know, Seth lords over his chapter not with disdain for what they are, but with acceptance.
Speaker AHe leads his forces from the front.
Speaker AHe keeps them in line.
Speaker AYou know, he reins them in.
Speaker AHe focuses them as an icon of war himself.
Speaker AHe focuses his brothers, even when they begin to lose themselves to the black rages, Grabs him by the shirt and he says, you're not doing it.
Speaker AWe're fighting like relatively sane people.
Speaker ABut Seth isn't a stranger to the black rage.
Speaker AFor his whole lifetime, he is aware that his.
Speaker AHis sort of viewpoint of the world is slipping away.
Speaker AHis demeanor is darkening.
Speaker AHe knows he's becoming more violent.
Speaker AHe knows the black rage is creeping in.
Speaker AHe's even towed over the line a couple of times, only to pull himself back.
Speaker AHe holds his rage suppressed as long as possible, but even when he's not, you know, towing into the black rage, he is infernal.
Speaker ABut rather than a hot and loud unfocused rage, he is cold and precise, like a collared animal more than a rampant force of nature.
Speaker AAnd he wages war in an impressive set of wargear.
Speaker AHis armor incorporates the serrated iconography of the flesh terror, a blood drop on a serrated sawblade.
Speaker AAnd his armor also incorporates the golden wings of the Blood Angel.
Speaker AHis cape is cut from the banner originally wielded by Nasir Ammit, the founding father, if you will, of the chapter.
Speaker ABut what he's most renowned for, of course, is his ginormous Two handed weapon, a chainsword, when wielded two handed, like a bit of a greatsword, is no longer just an ordinary chainsword, my friends.
Speaker AIt is known as an Eviscerator.
Speaker AHis is even bigger than that, almost twice the size of a standard Eviscerator.
Speaker AAnd it is named Blood Reaver.
Speaker AIt's an ancient weapon, a weapon that's actually retooled from the Chain Fists, a sort of Chain Blade Power Fist amalgamation once wielded by Nasir Ammit, wielded during the Horus Heresy during the Scouring, which would take place after Nasir Amit's wargear and banner, has lasted almost 10,000 bloody years to be wielded still by Gabriel Seth.
Speaker ABut what are some more specific conflicts of Gabriel Seth?
Speaker AWell, during the Third War for Armageddon, if you've been listening to previous episodes, we.
Speaker AWe've been talking about Armageddon.
Speaker ABut during the third war for Armageddon, over 500 flesh tearers would be deployed in conflicts against the Orcs.
Speaker ABut boy, oh boy, they were so beyond savage that the Orks themselves labelled them Aiders of the Dead and would flee battles against the Flesh Terrors.
Speaker AThat's how violent these people are when they're actually in battle.
Speaker AThey are no longer somewhat civilized, slightly emotionless, you know, demigods.
Speaker ANo, they are violence incarnate.
Speaker AThe Flesh Terrors, however, would become so overwhelmed with battle.
Speaker AArmageddon.
Speaker AEverything's going on.
Speaker AYou can hear more about it in our previous episode, Armageddon.
Speaker AOut of here.
Speaker AThe Flesh Terrors would turn their aggression, unfortunately against Imperial defenders once they had slain all nearby Orcs.
Speaker AThis would lead to pretty much their downfall, politically speaking, when they pushed the Orcs into the guns of the Adepta Sororitas, only to tear apart all the nearby Imperial garrisons once the Orks were defeated.
Speaker ANow, the Sisters, of course, seeing this horrified, but refused to fight them because there's still Space Marines.
Speaker ALike they're still our allies, you know, they retreated, but they would declare them traitors excommunica.
Speaker AAnd then that brings Gabriel Seth into that sort of political censure.
Speaker AThe Chapters of the Blood, led by Dante would then hold him for, you know, a measure of his character and to essentially, you know, be put to trial.
Speaker AThe trial of Blood.
Speaker AWe talked briefly about this already, with Astaroth the Grimm standing up for him.
Speaker ABut most of the Chapter Masters present were like, nuh, this guy sucks ass.
Speaker AHe's not cool.
Speaker AHe's too wicked, he's too violent.
Speaker AHe's insane.
Speaker ANo, better than a dog.
Speaker ABut you know, at some point there would be a little effort.
Speaker AFabius Bile.
Speaker AFabius Bile.
Speaker AI'm so sad that Johnny isn't here to talk about him.
Speaker AFabius Bile, a Chaos Marine, Apothecary flesh, Crafter, mutant maker, Frankenstein of Chaos would be trying to steal some of that juicy blood Angel's gene seed, the little organ that makes Space Marines.
Speaker ASpace Marines.
Speaker AHe tries to get him some.
Speaker AAnd if I'm not mistaken, shortly after the trial of blood, there would be the attack from Bile.
Speaker AAnd you know, not.
Speaker ANasir.
Speaker AI mean, I was going to say Nasir.
Speaker AI meant Gabriel Seth is obviously defending it.
Speaker AHe's not a, not a douche.
Speaker AHe's violent, but he's not a douche.
Speaker AYou know, it was stuff like this.
Speaker ADefending Bhaal against Fabius Bile.
Speaker ADealing with the mutant abominations he unleashed, Teaming up with Dante in these vaults.
Speaker AYou know, despite the whole, you know, if you're so weak, let us take over.
Speaker ADespite all of that.
Speaker ADante really would take a sort of a keenness to him.
Speaker ALike, I don't, I don't love him, but he's pretty cool, you know, he's pretty fun to have around in a scrap.
Speaker AWhich unfortunately a scrap wasn't too far away.
Speaker AWe now get to the devastation of Baal.
Speaker ASo we have 200 years of Gabriel Seth boosting the chapter up.
Speaker AHe's fought in the wars for Armageddon.
Speaker AHe's really unified his chapter.
Speaker AHe's been declared traitor, got over it, helped deal with Fabius Bile.
Speaker ABut now the NIDs are here, the Tyranids are in system.
Speaker AThere's a whole book, I've read it before, it's pretty good.
Speaker AThe Devastation of baal.
Speaker AThe Tyranids decide.
Speaker AWe've been on some front lines and we've been eating some bodies.
Speaker AThese red colored Space Marines are annoying, but when a Tyranid eats this sort of biomass, they get a bit of a, they get a bit of the memory imprint, you know, they find out vaguely whereabouts the Blood Angels homeworld is after fighting Blood Angels a fair amount and eating them.
Speaker AAnd so they go straight for the Homeworld.
Speaker ADante says, all right everybody, everybody who's bloody, we need you back home to reinforce the world.
Speaker AWe're talking 20 to 30,000 space marines come to defend Baal.
Speaker AOf course, Gabriel Seth and the Flesh Tearers, not super well liked.
Speaker ASo Dante assigns them to the moon.
Speaker AHe says, oh, you take the other slightly suspicious members of our, of our family and go defend the moon and I won't really Spoil too much about the book, in case you want to read it.
Speaker ABut it's bloody.
Speaker AThere is a lot of war, there's a lot of fighting.
Speaker AAnd just when all hope seems lost, of course, deus ex machina, you know, Dante's obviously not looking too good.
Speaker AGabriel Seth sort of rallies the defenders and then Guilliman shows up.
Speaker AAt this point in the lore, Guilliman has woken up, gone back to Terra, been declared Imperial regent, and has started his Indomitus crusade.
Speaker AHe's going about reinforcing all the various space marine chapters with their new hot freshness Primaris.
Speaker AAnd he arrives just in time to help push the tide of the Tyranids.
Speaker AIf you've read the book, you know I'm not entirely saying the truth, but if you want to know the truth, I suggest you go read it.
Speaker ASo Guilliman reinforces all them chapters in a bit of a, you know, honorific to Nasir Amit.
Speaker AGabriel Seph basically told him to F off.
Speaker AYou know, they're not really Flesh Terrors, they're just ultramarines painted red, you know, and even Guilliman would sort of think, I remember the Flesh Terrors, those bastards.
Speaker ABut all good now the chapter's back.
Speaker AThrough all these wars, through all of these political censures.
Speaker AGabriel, Seth and the Flesh Terrors are back to full strength now.
Speaker AThey've been Primarisified.
Speaker ASince then, they've been on cleanup duty.
Speaker AThey've been going around to nearby star systems fighting Remnant Tyranid splinter fleets, including fighting a huge hulking psychic style Tyranid that was feeding on little conclaves of astropaths and other Psyker humans.
Speaker ASo Seth and the Flesh Terrors are on cleanup duty post Devastation Abar.
Speaker AThat's all we really know.
Speaker ABut the Flesh Tearers are pretty well beloved.
Speaker AThey have an extremely engaging dark red with black color palette, green eyes, green plasma, the bright white serrated saw with the blood drop on the top for an icon.
Speaker AThey're sick.
Speaker AThey don't have rules specifically.
Speaker AIn previous editions they had supplements to make them more of their own thing.
Speaker ABut in 10th edition, Warhammer 40K, the flesh tearers are just.
Speaker AJust fall under Blood Angels.
Speaker AYou're not really, you know, you're not locked in or out of anything.
Speaker AYou could bring your Flesh Terror army, pick up Blood Angels, ruleset and Happy Days.
Speaker ABut if you have been listening to our previous lore episodes that were from this Advent Calendar era, you might be aware that we've only picked characters that have a model and Seth does.
Speaker AWell, at least he did.
Speaker AIn 2010, during what I believe was the fifth edition, Gabriel Seth got a miniature.
Speaker AIt was released alongside other characters such as Lematis, Astaroth, the Sanguinar.
Speaker AHilariously, those theory I just mentioned all got a brand new model in the last year.
Speaker ANo Seth.
Speaker ASeth is unavailable to purchase.
Speaker AHe has been moved to Legends.
Speaker ALegends is the sort of PDF only extra rules.
Speaker AIt's not tournament legal, but you can play it in your casual home games.
Speaker ALegends doesn't really get updated.
Speaker AIt's more of a.
Speaker AAh, if you've got the model, here's the rules.
Speaker AIf you were to play Flesh Terrors specifically and you want to bring Gabriel Seth, you can't bring other Blood Angels characters on the tabletop.
Speaker AYou could, you could and probably should ignore that rule because Gabriel Seth rules doesn't really.
Speaker ADoesn't really glow up a Flesh Terror's army by himself.
Speaker AUnfortunately, his sort of rule set is pretty good in a sort of a melee threat capacity.
Speaker AHis weapon does a fantastic sort of a blast if you will.
Speaker AIf you're familiar with the game blast extra attack.
Speaker AFor every five models in a unit he gets that.
Speaker ABut in melee and I don't know if any other unit does so his melee weapon has a.
Speaker ACan have quite a number of attacks with a nice sustain hits one profile.
Speaker ASo for every six on a D6 you get a bonus attack.
Speaker ASo this guy could pretty much cleave most Space Marine models down.
Speaker AHe does damage three that could take out Terminators if I'm not mistaken.
Speaker ASo his actual melee threat is quite good.
Speaker AIn previous editions he even got such things as fighting again, two fight activations in a row.
Speaker AWhich if that were the case still, I would actually maybe encourage you to give it a go in some of the more detachments, focusing not really around characters and see what happens.
Speaker ABut his model has existed.
Speaker AIt doesn't scale well to the new era of Space Marines, but if you have him, you can still sort of play him.
Speaker ANot as good as he was.
Speaker AMaybe next edition will get a bit of a flesh tear as supplement.
Speaker AI really.
Speaker AI really am hoping for one.
Speaker AIf you've listened to one of our previous episodes, what should every faction get Next in Warhammer 40,000?
Speaker AYes, I know.
Speaker AI endlessly plugged in.
Speaker AI'm vouching for Flesh Terrors to get a supplement for Blood Angels.
Speaker AI think it's high time they get a lot of praise.
Speaker AThey're probably the most well known of all the Blood Angels successors.
Speaker AJust do it.
Speaker ABut hey, that's all the information I've got except for another quote.
Speaker AHere it is.
Speaker AI remember the day Seth left a world to die.
Speaker AI remember the voices of our brothers of those he left behind to die with it.
Speaker AI remember the day Seth proclaimed our lives worth less than the planet of the legion that shunned us.
Speaker AI remember that day.
Speaker AIt was the first day I believed him to have the strength to save us.
Speaker AThat was Flesh Terror's Chaplain Apollos.
Speaker AThat was Gabriel Seth.
Speaker AThe Flesh Terror presented by Joshi of the TTP Field Manual.
Speaker ABom bom bom bom nah.
Speaker ABut hey, thank you very much for listening to this small solo produced episode of the TTP Field Manual.
Speaker AI'm Joshy.
Speaker ANormally I have Jonny with me.
Speaker AI almost guarantee he'll be back just in time for the next one.
Speaker AAdult jobs can be a little tricky when combined with a hobby project, like a little podcast will admit.
Speaker AFelt a little awkward to record on my own.
Speaker AThere were plenty of times where I paused, waiting and expecting a reply to which there was none.
Speaker ABut I've enjoyed talking to myself for the most part about one of my favorite characters in the setting.
Speaker AWell, one of my favorite characters within the Space Marines, you know, mini universe of characters and stories.
Speaker AIt's been cool.
Speaker AFlesh Terrors are great.
Speaker ARead more on them, play them, paint them.
Speaker AI have, I have a squad of assault intercessors painted in a nice slap.
Speaker AWhat's the word?
Speaker ANot slapstick, slap, chop, paint style, where you grab a model, you paint it black, then you dry brush gray, then you extreme dry brush white.
Speaker AAnd you've got already a sort of a natural hue with a little bit of grit to it, you know, and then use contrast paints, sort of a wash like paint, and you just sort of go over the panels you want.
Speaker ALooks gorgeous, Looks grungy as heck.
Speaker ABut hey, that was the Flesh Terrors episode presented by me.
Speaker ANext episode will be a Fulgrim book Club.
Speaker AI think if it's not, it won't be too far away.
Speaker ABut listen to Fulgrim.
Speaker AIf you haven't, listen to Angel Exterminatus.
Speaker AIf you have, find us on Instagram.
Speaker AReview the podcast on your favorite app.
Speaker AShare it to your bloody friends, please.
Speaker AWe love audiences.
Speaker AThank you very much.
Speaker AWe'll see you next time.
Speaker ASee, no, that's not right.
Speaker AYou'll listen to me next time.
