Hi, I'm Lisa.
Speaker BAnd I'm Emily.
Speaker BAnd together we form a lot of things, but today we are the Conscious Collaboration podcast.
Speaker BHoller at you girls.
Speaker BHi, Lisa.
Speaker AThank you so much for your service today.
Speaker BOh, yes.
Speaker BSo for the, for the people at home.
Speaker BI reported for jury duty this morning and spent the first two hours complaining pretty much about how I was locked in a room with no sunlight and I had to sit still for two hours, which is not my cup of tea, to say the least.
Speaker BI thought I was going to be able to bring my own coffee in a sealed container, and that was not, in fact, the case.
Speaker BSo I drank three cups of shitty courtroom coffee and got dismissed quite early without being questioned.
Speaker BSo my, my civic duties have been fulfilled today and, and now we will embark on our, our other civic duties of broadcasting.
Speaker BYou people.
Speaker AI wonder if they were watching you from a camera like in the waiting room.
Speaker AThey'.
Speaker AOh, we.
Speaker BThey're like, nope, not this one.
Speaker BWell, listen, without.
Speaker BOkay, I won't, I won't.
Speaker BI won't share the exact stereotype that I was advised to channel in order to decrease my likelihood of being selected, but I am wearing a brightly colored graphic tea and what I'll call my millennial mom jeans and, and some leopard print flats and lots of jewelry.
Speaker BSo really, the stereotype I was channeling is a pretty easy one to access for me and I just kind of went back to my 2016 self.
Speaker BSo we'll just, we'll just call it that.
Speaker BSo maybe they did.
Speaker BMaybe they got one look at me on camera and they were like, nope.
Speaker ABye.
Speaker ABye.
Speaker BIt was evidently a criminal trial that we were being looked at for, so I didn't even have to go back for, you know, the questioning piece of it.
Speaker BThey called a couple of groups back, I was not in it, and here I am.
Speaker AWell, fantastic.
Speaker BFantastic.
Speaker BYeah.
Speaker BSo we were actually just chatting prior to this.
Speaker BJust like chatting and you know, I mean, and this is, this is how we come up with our topics to be perfectly transparent, but we were talking about, oh, hopefully, hopefully we don't get dinged for this in the, in the AI universe.
Speaker BBut we were talking about how the zoom upgrade was quite buggy so far, hence me.
Speaker BI'm actually recording from my phone today, which is not typical for us.
Speaker BSo apologies if there's any weird audio things going on, but it really gave me like a light bulb.
Speaker BAnd perhaps I'm being smart today, or perhaps it's just the three cups of shitty cup coffee talking, but I, it.
Speaker BI thought of this metaphor that that represented of, like, the idea of how you upgrade something, and then it seems to for a minute work worse than it did prior to the upgrade.
Speaker BOr you can kind of carry this concept into, like, you know, you're kind of hesitant to get the first iteration of a certain technology because it's going to be buggier.
Speaker BAnd so then Lisa and I start coming up with all these, like, contexts in real life that it kind of feels that way once you, once you complete an upgrade, like, initially you feel a little worse off or.
Speaker BYeah.
Speaker BLess clear or less knowledgeable than you were prior to the upgrade or the level up.
Speaker BAnd.
Speaker BYeah.
Speaker BSo hopefully you guys can kind of relate to that and start to think of some.
Speaker BSome context where that applies to you and.
Speaker BYeah, let's.
Speaker BLet's riff on that.
Speaker AYeah, I mean, I think.
Speaker AI think it's that integration part of it and it becoming the new normal because you're still trying to situate, you know, we.
Speaker AOur discussion in the last episode was very much like, hey, you already did the thing.
Speaker ANow what?
Speaker AAnd if you remember, it was that trajectory on the other side of the mountain.
Speaker AThere's still some work to do.
Speaker AI mean, we're always going to get to the point where we come to the edge of comfortable, to be able to go to the next level forever and ever.
Speaker ASo that's.
Speaker AThat's one concept, you know, that I found, you know, throughout the.
Speaker AThe years that we've known each other and seen each other come into things in life and, and scaling is we.
Speaker AWe desire so much that, like, clarity, ease and joy.
Speaker ARight.
Speaker ALike, we desire that.
Speaker AAnd yes, like, that's something that we can hold to achieve.
Speaker ABut before you get to that place is a little bit of, you know, coming to the edge, a little bit of nervous, like, getting ready to take that leap.
Speaker ASo I don't know, it's like becoming comfortable with that edge, perhaps.
Speaker BWell, I think this is the edge after the leap.
Speaker AYeah.
Speaker BWhen you make it across the.
Speaker BThe gap and you're in the new territory, kind of like looking around and you're like, well, I'm a baby giraffe all over again.
Speaker BKind of got to learn to walk a little bit wobbly and.
Speaker BAnd explore new territory.
Speaker BI just.
Speaker BIt was kind of like that in parenting, too.
Speaker BLike, you.
Speaker BYou kind of get yourself used to a certain phase, and you're like, okay, I'm finally kind of figuring this phase out.
Speaker BAnd then before you know it, they're in a new phase and you're like, wait a minute, like, two weeks Ago you were liking this, you know, and chicken nuggets.
Speaker BYeah.
Speaker ANow you eat them.
Speaker BYes, yes.
Speaker BIt's funny, we were talking about tacos and Mexican food right before this because Olivia literally had that with tacos where she was like, she loved tacos for a period of time, and then one day in the car, she literally just announces that she doesn't like tacos anymore.
Speaker AOh, no.
Speaker AAnd it's like, what the hell?
Speaker BAnd then.
Speaker BSo.
Speaker BBut I think we're on the other side of that phase now.
Speaker BNow she.
Speaker AYou're on the other side of the hating tacos phase.
Speaker AYeah, yeah, yeah.
Speaker AI mean, I think there.
Speaker AThere is that, like, you're.
Speaker AYou're serving your new territory.
Speaker AYou're, like, wishing that you could reach back to where you were comfortable at the other plateau before, but maybe it's not there anymore.
Speaker AThat's not there anymore.
Speaker AI. I was listening to a podcast that was talking about one way, one method to integrate into a new level is to position yourself in your mind forward of it and then imagine yourself in that position giving.
Speaker ADescribing the next level and reflecting back of like, remember when that used to be a bit challenging?
Speaker AAnd then it became my new normal.
Speaker AAnd now that's just silly.
Speaker AAnd we did that when we started this episode.
Speaker AWe're like, remember at the very beginning of recording when we were about, like four years into businesses and building brands and systems, and there.
Speaker AThere were like different.
Speaker ADifferent growing pains and different surroundings that we were navigating.
Speaker AThat seems like so long ago and so unrelatable.
Speaker BYeah, yeah, absolutely.
Speaker BAnd we were talking about it more recently in terms of the Fire Horse.
Speaker BThe year.
Speaker BThe Fire Horse.
Speaker BHow.
Speaker BAnd you can even just go back a few episodes as Fire Horse is getting going and we're kind of like, wait a minute, like, I thought this was supposed to feel chalk supercharged.
Speaker BAnd you know, it's really more just like, ah, like what's going on?
Speaker BYou know, rather than being the one in control.
Speaker BIt's sort of like we're.
Speaker BWe're just being tossed around and controlled versus now.
Speaker BI can kind of feel that shift into, okay, now we're.
Speaker BWe're the ones in the driver's seat.
Speaker AOf the charging energy.
Speaker BSo I think this is a very applicable concept to so many things in life.
Speaker BSo shout out to shitty courthouse coffee for jacking my brain power up to make that connection.
Speaker BYeah, I mean, I think.
Speaker AAnd you do.
Speaker AYou do have good.
Speaker AYou're that Gemini.
Speaker ASo you do have that intellectual ability to put together different.
Speaker AYou're able to put together that visionary side with the intellectual and the practical side.
Speaker BWell, for every super smart thing that I say is at least one super dumb thing, so.
Speaker AYeah, well, duality as well.
Speaker AYeah.
Speaker AI liked your.
Speaker AWhat was that movie you quoted earlier about the llama?
Speaker AWas a llama Napoleon Dynamite?
Speaker BNo, Just make yourself a dang case of Dylan opponent, because we were talking about enchiladas and Mexican food and tacos.
Speaker AYes, yes.
Speaker ASo, I mean, those are silly, but also relevant, and it helps to lighten.
Speaker ALighten the frequency of anything that should be happening.
Speaker AWhen you're feeling anxiety or unsettled with the way things are flowing, when you're in a new territory, I think it's good to have those little diversions.
Speaker BOh, you can always count on a Gemini to crack a little jokey joke, even in questionable situations.
Speaker BSo if that's your style, get you a Gemini friend.
Speaker AYeah, well, yeah.
Speaker BOr 10 in one, like you always say.
Speaker ASince we have you as our.
Speaker AOur lead Gemini in the conscious collaboration, we could.
Speaker AWe could open up that channel for people to come inside the Facebook group, and I get some diversion ideas from you.
Speaker BYeah.
Speaker AI saw your eyes glaze over.
Speaker ALike, don't make that invitation.
Speaker BAsk a Gemini.
Speaker AAsk a Gemini day with Emily.
Speaker BJust see which personality is going to answer your question today.
Speaker AYou may get a movie quote, or she may serenade you with a song, or she may.
Speaker BIt's like.
Speaker BIt's like shaking the Magic 8 Ball.
Speaker AIt is.
Speaker AYeah.
Speaker AThat's so random.
Speaker BAnd if you just like.
Speaker BIf you shake the Magic 8 ball, sometimes you'll get one answer to the same question.
Speaker BSometimes you'll get a very different answer.
Speaker AOr sometimes on the mood.
Speaker AHow about when you do the Magic 8 ball and it just shows you, like, the corner of the dice.
Speaker BOh, right.
Speaker AAnd you're like, great.
Speaker AWell, that's, you know, just.
Speaker AWay to leave me behind there, April.
Speaker BNothing like you're actually opening a fortune cookie with no fortune in it.
Speaker AJust turned your back.
Speaker BIt's a blank sheet of paper.
Speaker BLike, what?
Speaker BIs that bad?
Speaker AYes.
Speaker AYes.
Speaker AIt's funny.
Speaker AI was.
Speaker AI was inside of our local business group on Facebook the other day, and I saw someone was looking for a tarot reader, and I saw this tarot reader that I had consulted with, like, six, seven, Gosh, I don't know.
Speaker ASix or seven years?
Speaker BYou totally didn't even do that on purpose.
Speaker BI did.
Speaker AReally was six or seven years ago, my kids would be dying with embarrassment.
Speaker BIs out of fashion now.
Speaker AIt's so.
Speaker AYeah.
Speaker AWe ruin.
Speaker AYeah.
Speaker AWay to go, parents, Millennials.
Speaker AAnd Gen Xers for killing that good.
Speaker BThat needed to die.
Speaker AWe need to rally.
Speaker AWe need to rally around the next thing, which they're.
Speaker AThey're hesitant to tell me because they know I will say it and ruin it.
Speaker BWe'll figure it out.
Speaker AWe'll figure it out.
Speaker AYeah, super sleuth.
Speaker ABut.
Speaker ASo the tarot reader, I remembered her and I was like, oh, my gosh.
Speaker AThat tarot read that I saw.
Speaker AAnd I. I was like, she was actually very good.
Speaker AShe actually helped me navigate what I am doing today, or at least like, the.
Speaker ABuilding the foundations of it.
Speaker ABut when she was, of course, going through her tarot with me that many years ago, it was like, what are you talking about?
Speaker AI was in a corporate career.
Speaker AWhat she was saying sounded really hard and impossible.
Speaker AAnd I was like, no, I absolutely have no idea what you're talking about.
Speaker AI don't know any of these people.
Speaker AThere is absolutely no way.
Speaker AI don't have the time for.
Speaker AFor all these things.
Speaker AAnd then, sure enough, like, I didn't even.
Speaker AI just put her out of my mind because I thought it was.
Speaker AIt was fun, but silly.
Speaker AAnd I thought she was cool and everything.
Speaker ABut anyways, I messaged her.
Speaker AI was like, oh, my gosh, I remember reading with you six, seven years ago, and you were super accurate.
Speaker AAnd she was like, oh, yeah, I do.
Speaker AI remember that.
Speaker AYou know, sometimes things don't make sense in the moment and then you forget that.
Speaker AI think it's that set it and forget it kind of thing that happens, and then things just form in the background.
Speaker AAnd I think it goes a lot like the fire horse energy.
Speaker AWe've said this a few times.
Speaker AI think a lot of the fire horse energy is around.
Speaker AWe thought like, oh, we're gonna have to have all the superpower to charge through all of our goals and to do all the things.
Speaker ABut I think part of the lesson is not in the doing of things.
Speaker AIt's in the integration of the next level.
Speaker ASo a lot of things don't need to be forcefully or, like, you know, in the vein of, like, grind culture.
Speaker AYou don't need to be like, it's already all there and everything just needs to line up.
Speaker ASo instead of doing all these things, sometimes it's just putting yourself in the right environment or, you know, just making yourself visible to the right person or trusting that you have the right people around you, that when you say the thing out loud, that all the pieces are coming together.
Speaker ASo I think there's.
Speaker AThere was a lot of confusion around what we thought this energy was going to be.
Speaker ABut I'm super curious about the next couple months and what comes through and what, you know, what kind of.
Speaker ABecause I think it's not a micro shift.
Speaker AI think this is a collective.
Speaker BYeah, yeah.
Speaker AUpgrade.
Speaker ALike it seems so apparent and there's a lot more open conversations around people even outside of the woo.
Speaker AEven outside of the woo groups that are like, okay, I feel this pull towards something and so it's going to be really interesting especially these next couple months.
Speaker AGoing up until your birthday, I think.
Speaker BYeah.
Speaker BWell, in combination with the fire horse energy is in my non professional at all astrology knowledge, Uranus in Gemini, which is among other things very representative of massive change and a bit chaotic feeling, maybe more than a bit for, for some.
Speaker BSo and in that, in understanding those, those two energy, those two very strong energies being present and being present for a while, I know the, the Uranus in Gemini is, is present for seven years or so.
Speaker BKnowing that and bringing into the conversation this, this understanding of the blip after the upgrade where the technology is worse and we're just kind of getting used to our surroundings.
Speaker BI think we can,.
Speaker AYou know, if.
Speaker BYou understand something and you expect something, then it's, it's easier to feel a sense of calm even when it's like disorienting.
Speaker BSo I think we can all maybe rest a little bit easier knowing that that's what's going on.
Speaker BWe're just, we're just leveling up.
Speaker BWe're just integrating into the next thing.
Speaker BAnd so shit gets a little fuzzy to say the least for a minute.
Speaker BBut I think we're coming to the other side of that to where we really get to take on that fire horse energy and just charge forward.
Speaker BWe ride it down.
Speaker ALove it.
Speaker BWe're going streaking.
Speaker AWe're going to be streaking in the quad.
Speaker ABring your green hat.
Speaker AOh, that was a good throwback.
Speaker AYes.
Speaker AWell, what do you say we take this inside of the conscious collaboration collective, our close and private Facebook group.
Speaker AIf you have questions for Emily, ask a Gemini, start sending them in.
Speaker BGemini.
Speaker AYeah, we'll have Emily do a live inside the Facebook group.
Speaker AIf there's enough, you can shake me.
Speaker BAnd see what comes out.
Speaker AThere you go.
Speaker BThis will be a fun experiment.
Speaker AYeah.
Speaker BYou can also tell me whether this was a genius idea or a shit coffee fueled idea.
Speaker BI am open to.
Speaker BI think it was a very interpretations.
Speaker BYeah, I mean I really feel that.
Speaker AWas a very necessary topic to cover.
Speaker AThat's like, you know, you did the thing, celebrate it.
Speaker ABut like, why does it still feel so uneasy?
Speaker AIt's not.
Speaker AIt's not in our bones yet.
Speaker BYeah, it's getting there, though.
Speaker AIt's getting there.
Speaker ASo congratulations.
Speaker AWell, thanks for joining us.
Speaker AAnd we hope this resonated.
Speaker AAnd if it didn't, we hope that you had some entertainment, some takeaways, and we'll accept your remarks in email or in the Facebook group.
Speaker AAnd we will talk to you next time.
Speaker BTalk to you in five.
Speaker BBye, guys.
Speaker ABye, guys.
