Speaker A

Hi, I'm Lisa.

Speaker B

And I'm Emily.

Speaker B

And together we form a lot of things, but today we are the Conscious Collaboration podcast.

Speaker B

Holler at you girls.

Speaker B

Hi, Lisa.

Speaker A

Thank you so much for your service today.

Speaker B

Oh, yes.

Speaker B

So for the, for the people at home.

Speaker B

I reported for jury duty this morning and spent the first two hours complaining pretty much about how I was locked in a room with no sunlight and I had to sit still for two hours, which is not my cup of tea, to say the least.

Speaker B

I thought I was going to be able to bring my own coffee in a sealed container, and that was not, in fact, the case.

Speaker B

So I drank three cups of shitty courtroom coffee and got dismissed quite early without being questioned.

Speaker B

So my, my civic duties have been fulfilled today and, and now we will embark on our, our other civic duties of broadcasting.

Speaker B

You people.

Speaker A

I wonder if they were watching you from a camera like in the waiting room.

Speaker A

They'.

Speaker A

Oh, we.

Speaker B

They're like, nope, not this one.

Speaker B

Well, listen, without.

Speaker B

Okay, I won't, I won't.

Speaker B

I won't share the exact stereotype that I was advised to channel in order to decrease my likelihood of being selected, but I am wearing a brightly colored graphic tea and what I'll call my millennial mom jeans and, and some leopard print flats and lots of jewelry.

Speaker B

So really, the stereotype I was channeling is a pretty easy one to access for me and I just kind of went back to my 2016 self.

Speaker B

So we'll just, we'll just call it that.

Speaker B

So maybe they did.

Speaker B

Maybe they got one look at me on camera and they were like, nope.

Speaker A

Bye.

Speaker A

Bye.

Speaker B

It was evidently a criminal trial that we were being looked at for, so I didn't even have to go back for, you know, the questioning piece of it.

Speaker B

They called a couple of groups back, I was not in it, and here I am.

Speaker A

Well, fantastic.

Speaker B

Fantastic.

Speaker B

Yeah.

Speaker B

So we were actually just chatting prior to this.

Speaker B

Just like chatting and you know, I mean, and this is, this is how we come up with our topics to be perfectly transparent, but we were talking about, oh, hopefully, hopefully we don't get dinged for this in the, in the AI universe.

Speaker B

But we were talking about how the zoom upgrade was quite buggy so far, hence me.

Speaker B

I'm actually recording from my phone today, which is not typical for us.

Speaker B

So apologies if there's any weird audio things going on, but it really gave me like a light bulb.

Speaker B

And perhaps I'm being smart today, or perhaps it's just the three cups of shitty cup coffee talking, but I, it.

Speaker B

I thought of this metaphor that that represented of, like, the idea of how you upgrade something, and then it seems to for a minute work worse than it did prior to the upgrade.

Speaker B

Or you can kind of carry this concept into, like, you know, you're kind of hesitant to get the first iteration of a certain technology because it's going to be buggier.

Speaker B

And so then Lisa and I start coming up with all these, like, contexts in real life that it kind of feels that way once you, once you complete an upgrade, like, initially you feel a little worse off or.

Speaker B

Yeah.

Speaker B

Less clear or less knowledgeable than you were prior to the upgrade or the level up.

Speaker B

And.

Speaker B

Yeah.

Speaker B

So hopefully you guys can kind of relate to that and start to think of some.

Speaker B

Some context where that applies to you and.

Speaker B

Yeah, let's.

Speaker B

Let's riff on that.

Speaker A

Yeah, I mean, I think.

Speaker A

I think it's that integration part of it and it becoming the new normal because you're still trying to situate, you know, we.

Speaker A

Our discussion in the last episode was very much like, hey, you already did the thing.

Speaker A

Now what?

Speaker A

And if you remember, it was that trajectory on the other side of the mountain.

Speaker A

There's still some work to do.

Speaker A

I mean, we're always going to get to the point where we come to the edge of comfortable, to be able to go to the next level forever and ever.

Speaker A

So that's.

Speaker A

That's one concept, you know, that I found, you know, throughout the.

Speaker A

The years that we've known each other and seen each other come into things in life and, and scaling is we.

Speaker A

We desire so much that, like, clarity, ease and joy.

Speaker A

Right.

Speaker A

Like, we desire that.

Speaker A

And yes, like, that's something that we can hold to achieve.

Speaker A

But before you get to that place is a little bit of, you know, coming to the edge, a little bit of nervous, like, getting ready to take that leap.

Speaker A

So I don't know, it's like becoming comfortable with that edge, perhaps.

Speaker B

Well, I think this is the edge after the leap.

Speaker A

Yeah.

Speaker B

When you make it across the.

Speaker B

The gap and you're in the new territory, kind of like looking around and you're like, well, I'm a baby giraffe all over again.

Speaker B

Kind of got to learn to walk a little bit wobbly and.

Speaker B

And explore new territory.

Speaker B

I just.

Speaker B

It was kind of like that in parenting, too.

Speaker B

Like, you.

Speaker B

You kind of get yourself used to a certain phase, and you're like, okay, I'm finally kind of figuring this phase out.

Speaker B

And then before you know it, they're in a new phase and you're like, wait a minute, like, two weeks Ago you were liking this, you know, and chicken nuggets.

Speaker B

Yeah.

Speaker A

Now you eat them.

Speaker B

Yes, yes.

Speaker B

It's funny, we were talking about tacos and Mexican food right before this because Olivia literally had that with tacos where she was like, she loved tacos for a period of time, and then one day in the car, she literally just announces that she doesn't like tacos anymore.

Speaker A

Oh, no.

Speaker A

And it's like, what the hell?

Speaker B

And then.

Speaker B

So.

Speaker B

But I think we're on the other side of that phase now.

Speaker B

Now she.

Speaker A

You're on the other side of the hating tacos phase.

Speaker A

Yeah, yeah, yeah.

Speaker A

I mean, I think there.

Speaker A

There is that, like, you're.

Speaker A

You're serving your new territory.

Speaker A

You're, like, wishing that you could reach back to where you were comfortable at the other plateau before, but maybe it's not there anymore.

Speaker A

That's not there anymore.

Speaker A

I. I was listening to a podcast that was talking about one way, one method to integrate into a new level is to position yourself in your mind forward of it and then imagine yourself in that position giving.

Speaker A

Describing the next level and reflecting back of like, remember when that used to be a bit challenging?

Speaker A

And then it became my new normal.

Speaker A

And now that's just silly.

Speaker A

And we did that when we started this episode.

Speaker A

We're like, remember at the very beginning of recording when we were about, like four years into businesses and building brands and systems, and there.

Speaker A

There were like different.

Speaker A

Different growing pains and different surroundings that we were navigating.

Speaker A

That seems like so long ago and so unrelatable.

Speaker B

Yeah, yeah, absolutely.

Speaker B

And we were talking about it more recently in terms of the Fire Horse.

Speaker B

The year.

Speaker B

The Fire Horse.

Speaker B

How.

Speaker B

And you can even just go back a few episodes as Fire Horse is getting going and we're kind of like, wait a minute, like, I thought this was supposed to feel chalk supercharged.

Speaker B

And you know, it's really more just like, ah, like what's going on?

Speaker B

You know, rather than being the one in control.

Speaker B

It's sort of like we're.

Speaker B

We're just being tossed around and controlled versus now.

Speaker B

I can kind of feel that shift into, okay, now we're.

Speaker B

We're the ones in the driver's seat.

Speaker A

Of the charging energy.

Speaker B

So I think this is a very applicable concept to so many things in life.

Speaker B

So shout out to shitty courthouse coffee for jacking my brain power up to make that connection.

Speaker B

Yeah, I mean, I think.

Speaker A

And you do.

Speaker A

You do have good.

Speaker A

You're that Gemini.

Speaker A

So you do have that intellectual ability to put together different.

Speaker A

You're able to put together that visionary side with the intellectual and the practical side.

Speaker B

Well, for every super smart thing that I say is at least one super dumb thing, so.

Speaker A

Yeah, well, duality as well.

Speaker A

Yeah.

Speaker A

I liked your.

Speaker A

What was that movie you quoted earlier about the llama?

Speaker A

Was a llama Napoleon Dynamite?

Speaker B

No, Just make yourself a dang case of Dylan opponent, because we were talking about enchiladas and Mexican food and tacos.

Speaker A

Yes, yes.

Speaker A

So, I mean, those are silly, but also relevant, and it helps to lighten.

Speaker A

Lighten the frequency of anything that should be happening.

Speaker A

When you're feeling anxiety or unsettled with the way things are flowing, when you're in a new territory, I think it's good to have those little diversions.

Speaker B

Oh, you can always count on a Gemini to crack a little jokey joke, even in questionable situations.

Speaker B

So if that's your style, get you a Gemini friend.

Speaker A

Yeah, well, yeah.

Speaker B

Or 10 in one, like you always say.

Speaker A

Since we have you as our.

Speaker A

Our lead Gemini in the conscious collaboration, we could.

Speaker A

We could open up that channel for people to come inside the Facebook group, and I get some diversion ideas from you.

Speaker B

Yeah.

Speaker A

I saw your eyes glaze over.

Speaker A

Like, don't make that invitation.

Speaker B

Ask a Gemini.

Speaker A

Ask a Gemini day with Emily.

Speaker B

Just see which personality is going to answer your question today.

Speaker A

You may get a movie quote, or she may serenade you with a song, or she may.

Speaker B

It's like.

Speaker B

It's like shaking the Magic 8 Ball.

Speaker A

It is.

Speaker A

Yeah.

Speaker A

That's so random.

Speaker B

And if you just like.

Speaker B

If you shake the Magic 8 ball, sometimes you'll get one answer to the same question.

Speaker B

Sometimes you'll get a very different answer.

Speaker A

Or sometimes on the mood.

Speaker A

How about when you do the Magic 8 ball and it just shows you, like, the corner of the dice.

Speaker B

Oh, right.

Speaker A

And you're like, great.

Speaker A

Well, that's, you know, just.

Speaker A

Way to leave me behind there, April.

Speaker B

Nothing like you're actually opening a fortune cookie with no fortune in it.

Speaker A

Just turned your back.

Speaker B

It's a blank sheet of paper.

Speaker B

Like, what?

Speaker B

Is that bad?

Speaker A

Yes.

Speaker A

Yes.

Speaker A

It's funny.

Speaker A

I was.

Speaker A

I was inside of our local business group on Facebook the other day, and I saw someone was looking for a tarot reader, and I saw this tarot reader that I had consulted with, like, six, seven, Gosh, I don't know.

Speaker A

Six or seven years?

Speaker B

You totally didn't even do that on purpose.

Speaker B

I did.

Speaker A

Really was six or seven years ago, my kids would be dying with embarrassment.

Speaker B

Is out of fashion now.

Speaker A

It's so.

Speaker A

Yeah.

Speaker A

We ruin.

Speaker A

Yeah.

Speaker A

Way to go, parents, Millennials.

Speaker A

And Gen Xers for killing that good.

Speaker B

That needed to die.

Speaker A

We need to rally.

Speaker A

We need to rally around the next thing, which they're.

Speaker A

They're hesitant to tell me because they know I will say it and ruin it.

Speaker B

We'll figure it out.

Speaker A

We'll figure it out.

Speaker A

Yeah, super sleuth.

Speaker A

But.

Speaker A

So the tarot reader, I remembered her and I was like, oh, my gosh.

Speaker A

That tarot read that I saw.

Speaker A

And I. I was like, she was actually very good.

Speaker A

She actually helped me navigate what I am doing today, or at least like, the.

Speaker A

Building the foundations of it.

Speaker A

But when she was, of course, going through her tarot with me that many years ago, it was like, what are you talking about?

Speaker A

I was in a corporate career.

Speaker A

What she was saying sounded really hard and impossible.

Speaker A

And I was like, no, I absolutely have no idea what you're talking about.

Speaker A

I don't know any of these people.

Speaker A

There is absolutely no way.

Speaker A

I don't have the time for.

Speaker A

For all these things.

Speaker A

And then, sure enough, like, I didn't even.

Speaker A

I just put her out of my mind because I thought it was.

Speaker A

It was fun, but silly.

Speaker A

And I thought she was cool and everything.

Speaker A

But anyways, I messaged her.

Speaker A

I was like, oh, my gosh, I remember reading with you six, seven years ago, and you were super accurate.

Speaker A

And she was like, oh, yeah, I do.

Speaker A

I remember that.

Speaker A

You know, sometimes things don't make sense in the moment and then you forget that.

Speaker A

I think it's that set it and forget it kind of thing that happens, and then things just form in the background.

Speaker A

And I think it goes a lot like the fire horse energy.

Speaker A

We've said this a few times.

Speaker A

I think a lot of the fire horse energy is around.

Speaker A

We thought like, oh, we're gonna have to have all the superpower to charge through all of our goals and to do all the things.

Speaker A

But I think part of the lesson is not in the doing of things.

Speaker A

It's in the integration of the next level.

Speaker A

So a lot of things don't need to be forcefully or, like, you know, in the vein of, like, grind culture.

Speaker A

You don't need to be like, it's already all there and everything just needs to line up.

Speaker A

So instead of doing all these things, sometimes it's just putting yourself in the right environment or, you know, just making yourself visible to the right person or trusting that you have the right people around you, that when you say the thing out loud, that all the pieces are coming together.

Speaker A

So I think there's.

Speaker A

There was a lot of confusion around what we thought this energy was going to be.

Speaker A

But I'm super curious about the next couple months and what comes through and what, you know, what kind of.

Speaker A

Because I think it's not a micro shift.

Speaker A

I think this is a collective.

Speaker B

Yeah, yeah.

Speaker A

Upgrade.

Speaker A

Like it seems so apparent and there's a lot more open conversations around people even outside of the woo.

Speaker A

Even outside of the woo groups that are like, okay, I feel this pull towards something and so it's going to be really interesting especially these next couple months.

Speaker A

Going up until your birthday, I think.

Speaker B

Yeah.

Speaker B

Well, in combination with the fire horse energy is in my non professional at all astrology knowledge, Uranus in Gemini, which is among other things very representative of massive change and a bit chaotic feeling, maybe more than a bit for, for some.

Speaker B

So and in that, in understanding those, those two energy, those two very strong energies being present and being present for a while, I know the, the Uranus in Gemini is, is present for seven years or so.

Speaker B

Knowing that and bringing into the conversation this, this understanding of the blip after the upgrade where the technology is worse and we're just kind of getting used to our surroundings.

Speaker B

I think we can,.

Speaker A

You know, if.

Speaker B

You understand something and you expect something, then it's, it's easier to feel a sense of calm even when it's like disorienting.

Speaker B

So I think we can all maybe rest a little bit easier knowing that that's what's going on.

Speaker B

We're just, we're just leveling up.

Speaker B

We're just integrating into the next thing.

Speaker B

And so shit gets a little fuzzy to say the least for a minute.

Speaker B

But I think we're coming to the other side of that to where we really get to take on that fire horse energy and just charge forward.

Speaker B

We ride it down.

Speaker A

Love it.

Speaker B

We're going streaking.

Speaker A

We're going to be streaking in the quad.

Speaker A

Bring your green hat.

Speaker A

Oh, that was a good throwback.

Speaker A

Yes.

Speaker A

Well, what do you say we take this inside of the conscious collaboration collective, our close and private Facebook group.

Speaker A

If you have questions for Emily, ask a Gemini, start sending them in.

Speaker B

Gemini.

Speaker A

Yeah, we'll have Emily do a live inside the Facebook group.

Speaker A

If there's enough, you can shake me.

Speaker B

And see what comes out.

Speaker A

There you go.

Speaker B

This will be a fun experiment.

Speaker A

Yeah.

Speaker B

You can also tell me whether this was a genius idea or a shit coffee fueled idea.

Speaker B

I am open to.

Speaker B

I think it was a very interpretations.

Speaker B

Yeah, I mean I really feel that.

Speaker A

Was a very necessary topic to cover.

Speaker A

That's like, you know, you did the thing, celebrate it.

Speaker A

But like, why does it still feel so uneasy?

Speaker A

It's not.

Speaker A

It's not in our bones yet.

Speaker B

Yeah, it's getting there, though.

Speaker A

It's getting there.

Speaker A

So congratulations.

Speaker A

Well, thanks for joining us.

Speaker A

And we hope this resonated.

Speaker A

And if it didn't, we hope that you had some entertainment, some takeaways, and we'll accept your remarks in email or in the Facebook group.

Speaker A

And we will talk to you next time.

Speaker B

Talk to you in five.

Speaker B

Bye, guys.

Speaker A

Bye, guys.
