Speaker:

Why do you feel like it's important for women to take

Speaker:

time out? Because they simply need it. Whatever drives you

Speaker:

needs to be fueled. Within our retreats, not only

Speaker:

do you get that chance to rest and rejuvenate, you

Speaker:

actually get to create the connections that a

Speaker:

lot of you, like myself, will be craving. The

Speaker:

healing journey isn't always about a

Speaker:

big dramatic. The thing that came to my mind was that

Speaker:

Exorcist movie. where that like big crazy demon

Speaker:

comes out of you and it doesn't have to be like that and that's the

Speaker:

point of difference for us that we're trying to create within our retreat

Speaker:

is that. Welcome to Krystal Rowe Impacts, a space dedicated

Speaker:

to empowering you to be the change that your bloodline has

Speaker:

been waiting for. Join me and together let's inspire change.

Speaker:

Kia ora whānau and welcome back to the Krystal Rowe Impact podcast.

Speaker:

And I have my amazing husband here, TJ, joining me

Speaker:

today as we talk about the importance of

Speaker:

woman and our time. And so we've actually

Speaker:

created an amazing opportunity for women to

Speaker:

get away and take time to rest,

Speaker:

to rediscover themselves and to find focus

Speaker:

again in such a busy world. Now today,

Speaker:

I do want to share the importance of

Speaker:

connection and sisterhood But it's

Speaker:

not really something that I know much about, if I'm going

Speaker:

to be completely honest. And I'm sure that

Speaker:

a lot of you can resonate when I say that

Speaker:

friendships and sisterhoods and trust has

Speaker:

been broken and the lack

Speaker:

of, what would you call it, competition,

Speaker:

not lack of, the presence of competition within

Speaker:

women these days is so just

Speaker:

full on and it's uncomfortable. And I know

Speaker:

when I grew up, I never really fitted in, but

Speaker:

it was always something that I craved. I

Speaker:

wanted to belong and I wanted to have a

Speaker:

certain group of friends that I grew up through primary school and

Speaker:

high school and into adulthood and I just

Speaker:

don't have that. But what I want to

Speaker:

create is a safe space for women

Speaker:

to have that. So if this resonates with you, this

Speaker:

is an episode for you. I'm going to ask my husband,

Speaker:

why do you feel like it's important for women to take

Speaker:

because they simply need it. They have

Speaker:

their own struggles. Personally, I feel

Speaker:

women have, they can endure

Speaker:

a lot more than men. That's

Speaker:

my opinion. And that comes from

Speaker:

watching my grandmother, watching my mother growing

Speaker:

up, and I have five sisters also. They

Speaker:

can handle, they can hold a lot of problems

Speaker:

in, like their mental well-being,

Speaker:

they can hold a lot in. But

Speaker:

back to the question, why I think it's important is because our

Speaker:

women run our homes, basically. Men have had

Speaker:

the job of protecting and providing, but if our women

Speaker:

ain't at home, keeping

Speaker:

that house on lock, holding

Speaker:

that safe space, there's only so much she can

Speaker:

do. So they too need that time away to

Speaker:

Yeah, 100%. And I think too, when... you

Speaker:

know, society puts so much pressure on

Speaker:

humans, both men and women, to be

Speaker:

perfect and portray this perfect image and to

Speaker:

have the house kept accordingly and,

Speaker:

you know, like, all of those things, which I'm the total

Speaker:

opposite, aren't I, my love? Like, I kind of...

Speaker:

Oh, you go all right, my love. I try not to...

Speaker:

Like, for me, I prioritize a

Speaker:

lot of my mental health. And,

Speaker:

you know, by creating an intentional

Speaker:

space for women to actually step

Speaker:

outside of their normal day-to-day craziness

Speaker:

and interrupting that stressful pattern

Speaker:

that our nervous system is going in all the time and

Speaker:

actually allowing us to rest can be extremely productive.

Speaker:

It can be really, really productive. Can you remember a

Speaker:

time where I seemed very

Speaker:

stressed out. And then even if it was going and taking

Speaker:

Yeah. And that's one thing I love. Every

Speaker:

time you've reached out and said, look, I need to go for

Speaker:

a massage or I need to do something. I

Speaker:

allow that, like, yes, beautiful, because I know you work so

Speaker:

hard and you just, you do

Speaker:

No, it's not the norm. And I never used to be that sort

Speaker:

of, that man. Because growing up,

Speaker:

my grandmother, my mum were so strong. Like

Speaker:

in the physical, I

Speaker:

thought that's just how women are. I never knew

Speaker:

that they too would have been going through some mental problems.

Speaker:

When you're pushed to your limits, like a lot of us are,

Speaker:

I know when I got to my breaking point and I was at the cafe before

Speaker:

you, my love, I had to do everything. And

Speaker:

I too ended up getting coping mechanisms, smoking,

Speaker:

drinking. I couldn't go out or anything because I had nobody

Speaker:

to help me with the kids, but it was just pressure everywhere I

Speaker:

looked. And I actually remember getting

Speaker:

to breaking point and going

Speaker:

on a mini retreat. And it

Speaker:

was a day retreat and it just, it

Speaker:

was so unfamiliar. It was so strange, but

Speaker:

it was so powerful as well. And it actually

Speaker:

allowed me to refocus on

Speaker:

what is important. And that's the power of

Speaker:

the retreats that we are creating. Both together,

Speaker:

having that masculine and feminine energy that

Speaker:

beautifully blends and creates an

Speaker:

environment where people can not only heal, but

Speaker:

they can just surrender. And I think that

Speaker:

creating such a space that's

Speaker:

different to everything else that's happening is at

Speaker:

the moment. I think that we've learned that the healing journey

Speaker:

and the rest and recover journey isn't always about

Speaker:

a big dramatic, what's the word? Like

Speaker:

the thing that came to my mind was that Exorcist movie, where

Speaker:

that like big like crazy demon comes

Speaker:

out of you and and all of that, like it doesn't have to be like

Speaker:

that. And that's the point of difference for us that we're trying

Speaker:

to create within our retreats. is that people can come as

Speaker:

they are with what they have and then leave with what

Speaker:

they need. And it's not something that

Speaker:

is gonna be invasive or make

Speaker:

you too uncomfortable, but self-paced as

Speaker:

well, which when we have to conform to

Speaker:

a world with certain standards and certain pressures, We

Speaker:

don't want to be that way when they come, when women come

Speaker:

to restore themselves. And also

Speaker:

within our retreats, not only do you get that chance to

Speaker:

rest and rejuvenate, you actually get to create the

Speaker:

connections that A lot of you, like myself,

Speaker:

will be craving. I know that when, for me, when

Speaker:

life gets quite challenging or I'm feeling stressed

Speaker:

out, I have a handful of women that I message

Speaker:

and I say to them, oh, let's catch up. I need to catch up. Or

Speaker:

how are you going? And sometimes that's enough. And sometimes the

Speaker:

catch up gets rescheduled or sometimes that catch

Speaker:

up ends up me having a massage or a coffee

Speaker:

by myself, but it's the intention behind

Speaker:

that, and that intention is connection, and that connection

Speaker:

is what you get at our retreats. That connection is

Speaker:

what actually can bring you home to yourself. And

Speaker:

sometimes that's something that we've been longing for amongst

Speaker:

the chaos of everyday life, whether it's

Speaker:

motherhood, whether it's being the perfect wife, whether it's

Speaker:

the businesswoman. Whatever drives you needs to

Speaker:

be fueled. And that is going to be in

Speaker:

the form of one of our amazing retreats. So if

Speaker:

that resonates with you and you feel drawn to some

Speaker:

time out for yourself. If you're drawn to a

Speaker:

sisterhood connection, if you need to be in a safe space

Speaker:

that you can share, that you can be seen and heard, where

Speaker:

you can let your hair down, then our retreats are

Speaker:

for you. They are a perfect blend of masculine

Speaker:

and feminine. You get the best of both TJ and I,

Speaker:

and it's such an intimate, personal experience that

Speaker:

will allow you to bring the answers

Speaker:

within yourself so that you can create and start

Speaker:

living a life by design. So make sure you follow us on

Speaker:

all social media platforms and we will see
