Unknown:

Hey, I'm Paige Killian, founder and CEO of everything

Unknown:

with style. I've built a business helping busy moms of

Unknown:

littles get organized in three simple steps. Like many of my

Unknown:

clients, I love being a mom and I also desire more. If ever, you

Unknown:

felt that stirring in your heart, that whisper or really

Unknown:

loud voice that keeps you up at night. And I don't mean teething

Unknown:

toddlers and noisy teenagers, then you are in the right place.

Unknown:

Because this is not a solo mission. Whether you're a little

Unknown:

curious or totally ready to be a mom, boss, and use your God

Unknown:

given gifts to serve others step into your calling, turn your

Unknown:

passions into purpose, and still make it to the carpool line on

Unknown:

time, then girlfriend, it's time to pivot. I've got you. Now

Unknown:

let's get started. Thank you so much for joining me today for

Unknown:

Episode One of the time to pivot podcast, I am so fired up partly

Unknown:

full disclosure, because I just ate some really spicy tuna sushi

Unknown:

with jalapenos, but mostly because I cannot wait to start

Unknown:

this podcast and get some episodes out that are going to

Unknown:

help you when you come to a time that you need to pivot in your

Unknown:

life. Maybe in your business, maybe part of your life is in

Unknown:

need of a business and you've figured out a way or you were in

Unknown:

the process of figuring out a way to use your God given gifts

Unknown:

to serve others. If that is what you're here for. I'm really

Unknown:

excited because I've got a lot of episodes that are coming up,

Unknown:

that are going to talk about those beginning stages, the

Unknown:

stages where you feel stuck, maybe you feel stressed, maybe

Unknown:

you feel in one area of your life, that it's really good, but

Unknown:

you feel unfulfilled in another area of your life. And my goal

Unknown:

is to be able to share with you some of the stuff I've gone

Unknown:

through and have great guests on to share experiences they've

Unknown:

had, where they've been able to push through some of those

Unknown:

really tricky roadblocks, or maybe a very difficult time in

Unknown:

your life that caused trauma. And you are trying to find a way

Unknown:

to get out of that and pivot, make that shift, do it

Unknown:

gracefully, do it with integrity, and do it not really

Unknown:

knowing what you're doing and maybe super scared, but trying

Unknown:

to do it anyway. So with that in mind, I figured the first thing

Unknown:

that we should talk about was my background, my story, why I even

Unknown:

felt compelled to start this new podcast, and see if that can be

Unknown:

helpful for you. So you know, if you've ever gone to a

Unknown:

conference, or maybe a fundraising event, there could

Unknown:

be speakers that come on stage and they share a story with you.

Unknown:

That might not be exactly what you've gone through. But you

Unknown:

make take something from their experience, really that

Unknown:

resonates with you or you can find a way to have it apply to

Unknown:

your life. And then it inspires you to take action to think

Unknown:

differently, to try something new to experience something

Unknown:

else. So what I thought today is that I would share with you some

Unknown:

of the things that I've gone through that have shaped me into

Unknown:

the person I am today in my life as a mom as a wife, as a

Unknown:

business owner. So I think probably the best place to start

Unknown:

is one of my first big pivot both in life and creating a

Unknown:

business for the first time. I had my first daughter Isabel,

Unknown:

then I had my Duke who came along next, in a beautiful and

Unknown:

sudden way actually almost gave birth to him in the lobby of the

Unknown:

Union Bank of California. So do came on the scene with a whole

Unknown:

new agenda. In a great way, he came in ready to disrupt our

Unknown:

lives. And the wonderful thing about that is it has made us

Unknown:

forced us to all grow and pivot. And I couldn't be more grateful

Unknown:

for the life lessons I've learned with Kid number two. I'm

Unknown:

crazy about that kid. I also am crazy about the first one who

Unknown:

just came out as this very independent, very even keeled,

Unknown:

balanced, responsible firstborn. All right, if you know you know,

Unknown:

I'm a firstborn, my husband's a firstborn. What are you Where do

Unknown:

you fall on the lineup? She's super firstborn, a And he's

Unknown:

super second born. If we're getting into stereotypes,

Unknown:

they're true for us. They're not true for everybody, but they're

Unknown:

true for us. And I love both my kids so much and their

Unknown:

differences, because it challenges me to not only be a

Unknown:

better mom, but to learn life lessons so that I can pivot as

Unknown:

they need backup and support. And that's really where my first

Unknown:

story of pivot begins. When Duke was, I had gone back to work as

Unknown:

a teacher. So my background is about 15 ish years really more

Unknown:

like 13 in my own classrooms. But then I did some other work

Unknown:

outside that was also teaching as well, for about 15 years as

Unknown:

an elementary school teacher, so mostly kindergarten, and second

Unknown:

grade. And what I found is that my son needed a little bit more

Unknown:

support, like I had been a stay at home mom with Isabel when she

Unknown:

was super young. But I went back to work when I had Duke. And he

Unknown:

needed me to be home with him for a little bit, we needed to

Unknown:

work out some things, we needed to have some Mother Son time,

Unknown:

and we also needed to get to the bottom of some things that we

Unknown:

were trying to work out with him. So with a little privacy,

Unknown:

they're still intact, just trust that my teaching and parenting

Unknown:

skills were really being put to the test. And if you want to

Unknown:

know a little bit more about what I'm talking about two

Unknown:

resources, one, go back and check out the moms organization

Unknown:

motivation podcast, it is still running, to write all about it.

Unknown:

In my book, my book is called I've got a girlfriend, the

Unknown:

subtitle is why getting organized and living this small

Unknown:

life is not a solo mission. So if you want to check that out,

Unknown:

it's on Amazon right now you can go to my website, everything was

Unknown:

styled.com. And you can find a link there to check it out as

Unknown:

well. But I definitely reveal how very stressful and difficult

Unknown:

it was for a little while when I felt like I wasn't doing a good

Unknown:

job as a mom. And then when I wasn't doing a good job. As a

Unknown:

mom, I didn't feel confident in other areas of my life too. Do

Unknown:

you ever find that when you're in the midst of a transition, or

Unknown:

a really hard time that you feel like you're not just suffering

Unknown:

in one area, but you really might be suffering in another,

Unknown:

it felt like I couldn't get any sort of control, because I

Unknown:

wasn't learning the things that I needed to learn quickly. And

Unknown:

so patience was really tested at that time. And I had to trust

Unknown:

that God had a plan for us, there was definitely something

Unknown:

that was going to come of the struggle. But God when you're in

Unknown:

it, does it not just feel like the most stressful and

Unknown:

uncomfortable thing. So I knew at that time that I loved

Unknown:

teaching. But it wasn't what I was supposed to continue doing.

Unknown:

Because my kid needed me. And I could either choose to be super

Unknown:

resentful, and frustrated. Or I could lean into it, feel the

Unknown:

discomfort, lean into the fear and say, Okay, God, what do you

Unknown:

have planned? Okay, what do I need to learn in this? Are I use

Unknown:

me, I'm here. I'm here to learn and just can you just please

Unknown:

show me what to do next? Can you just please make it obvious?

Unknown:

Because let me just tell you, the subtle stuff doesn't work

Unknown:

for me. Sometimes, I really need it to be super obvious, I need

Unknown:

the signs to be big. So I will tell you that God answered

Unknown:

prayer in a big way PS, I'm going to be talking about God.

Unknown:

So if they for you is a little shaky, a little questionable or

Unknown:

non existent, I hope that you'll just take the things that I'm

Unknown:

saying and know, this is how I have felt comfort and direction

Unknown:

in my life, especially during those times of pivot and trials.

Unknown:

So if that doesn't resonate with you, maybe some of the other

Unknown:

stuff I'm saying will, but stick with me, because I can promise

Unknown:

you that the stuff that I've learned, doesn't always just

Unknown:

come down to the fact that I believe in God and my faith is

Unknown:

strong. It's a lot of different moving parts. So I hope that you

Unknown:

will continue to stick with me if that feels a little strange

Unknown:

for you. So as I'm saying, God is answering prayers. I'm also

Unknown:

feeling like I'm being tested in the certain areas where I

Unknown:

thought I used to be really good. I thought it was a good

Unknown:

parent. And the truth is, I was and I continue to be a good

Unknown:

parent, even during the struggle, but I didn't know that

Unknown:

at the time. At the time, I thought I was massively failing

Unknown:

and dropping the ball. So remember how I said sometimes

Unknown:

you can go to an event or you can go to unconference and maybe

Unknown:

like the person who's sharing their story. It's not exactly

Unknown:

what yours is like maybe they massively struggled with

Unknown:

addiction, and they hit rock bottom and decided they needed

Unknown:

to get sober and that was part of their journey that was part

Unknown:

of their pivot that they had to make. So maybe that's not

Unknown:

exactly something that you've gone through. But maybe you feel

Unknown:

like you can get addicted to Netflix. I'm all for going down

Unknown:

that Netflix rabbit hole and watching too many things. They

Unknown:

make it too easy. You're just binge watch, you know.

Unknown:

So Though I get it, but you can take that little nugget from

Unknown:

what somebody else is talking about and apply it to your own

Unknown:

life or so it'll resonate with you. So I'm going to now tell

Unknown:

you after that first pivot really sort of shifted a lot of

Unknown:

what I felt like my purpose was, I'm going to take that as the

Unknown:

jumping off point. And then I'm going to rapid fire telling you

Unknown:

several things that followed after that. So here we go. I

Unknown:

made the difficult decision to leave teaching, not because I

Unknown:

didn't love it, or I wasn't fulfilled. But because right

Unknown:

now, at that moment, I felt like, that's not what is going

Unknown:

to serve my family and me best. So I had to do a hard thing, I

Unknown:

had to leave this very secure paycheck, in an environment

Unknown:

where people were telling me I was doing a good job regularly.

Unknown:

I mean, doesn't that feel great, that's hard to leave. And I left

Unknown:

there, knowing that I wasn't going to have everything figured

Unknown:

out. But I did feel pretty confident that that was the move

Unknown:

I needed to make. All right. So fast forward a little bit of

Unknown:

time, we are getting some awesome help that we need for

Unknown:

our Duke. And I'm writing a book. During this time, I'm

Unknown:

writing a book about how much I love organization, how much I

Unknown:

use it on the homefront how I've started this side hustle after I

Unknown:

left teaching, because I thought, Gosh, I still need to

Unknown:

bring in some income. And I met with my amazing coach, Coach,

Unknown:

Kelly Mobic. If you listen to the other podcast, you will have

Unknown:

heard me say her name a lot. I definitely plan on having her on

Unknown:

as a guest. She's going to talk to us about what it looks like

Unknown:

to take the lead in your life. So I met with her because I

Unknown:

said, Hey, I need a friend. But I also really need some advising

Unknown:

on how I could turn some of the things that I enjoy doing into a

Unknown:

business that's going to bring an income and my family. I never

Unknown:

started a business before. Okay, so this was new. And it was

Unknown:

really scary. And she said, first, let's make a list of your

Unknown:

strengths of your skills of things that you feel like you

Unknown:

could contribute to serve others, we did that. And that

Unknown:

was when I discovered that it made a lot of sense for me to

Unknown:

start a company that was all about professional organizing.

Unknown:

And I did, I started everything with style. And it talks all

Unknown:

about how we can get organized in three simple steps using my

Unknown:

three E's philosophy. I'm going to talk to you about that on the

Unknown:

next episode. And it worked. It really worked. I was using it at

Unknown:

home. I had used it for years as a teacher in setting and

Unknown:

accomplishing goals in three simple steps with my

Unknown:

kindergarteners. And so that's how everything was styled my

Unknown:

first company was born. That happened around 2016. Duke was

Unknown:

at home with me. And it started as a side hustle. And then it

Unknown:

really grew. My Duke went back to school, we got a lot of

Unknown:

awesome things figured out that really helped everyone, everyone

Unknown:

was feeling a little lighter and brighter. So at this point, I

Unknown:

decide, I'm going to take that book that I had been writing

Unknown:

that was really becoming therapy for me to get all my thoughts

Unknown:

and feelings down on paper and also to share it with other

Unknown:

people. I actually needed to get to the sharing part that had

Unknown:

been therapy for me and I was writing it. And I found an

Unknown:

amazing editor at the time, Jessica Killingly absolutely

Unknown:

love her. I then had her edit the book I had, I went into

Unknown:

business with her signed a contract because she started an

Unknown:

actual agency. And she became my agent. And we are going to

Unknown:

pursue traditional book publishing. So I'm going to save

Unknown:

the details for later because I'm going to have her on the

Unknown:

podcast as well to talk to us about what traditional

Unknown:

publishing looks like what editing a book looks like, what

Unknown:

getting your book out into the world looks like whether you

Unknown:

should go the traditional the hybrid or the self publishing

Unknown:

route. So stay tuned for that. At that time, I decided, okay,

Unknown:

the traditional publishing stuff isn't totally working out. Like

Unknown:

I said, I'll give you details later. But a lot of it had to do

Unknown:

with the fact that I just was so brand new. I had just started my

Unknown:

company. I was just riding for the first time. And it wasn't

Unknown:

the right timing. And that's a huge, crucial part of pivoting.

Unknown:

If the timing isn't right, it's not going to work, doesn't mean

Unknown:

it's never going to work. It may mean you need to continue to

Unknown:

push through the obstacles and it will eventually work. We will

Unknown:

talk about that more on future upcoming podcasts we will talk

Unknown:

about when it's okay to throw in the towel and say this was a

Unknown:

great learning experience. And it's time for me to abandon this

Unknown:

plan because I need to pivot in a way that's going to put me in

Unknown:

the right place to start something different to work on

Unknown:

something different and that's okay too. Right? Those are life

Unknown:

lessons that are important. So traditional publishing wasn't

Unknown:

working out. So I put it on the shelf. It's not about not an

Unknown:

actual book. It was on my laptop, I put it on a figurative

Unknown:

shelf. And I was like, You know what, it's not the right time,

Unknown:

we're not going to do that now. I came back to my family, I came

Unknown:

back to that being the most important thing. And I continue

Unknown:

to cultivate relationships with my clients as a professional

Unknown:

organizer, and I was loving it, then 2020 hit. And it's funny,

Unknown:

because in my other podcast, I talk about how I would set a

Unknown:

word for the year. And that particular year i In January, I

Unknown:

had no idea what was coming in March, or in April of 2020. We

Unknown:

didn't know in January, I picked the word patients, and boy, did

Unknown:

we all get tested in patients that year. And so come, end of

Unknown:

March, when everything got shut down. I was like, What am I

Unknown:

going to do I now have my kids doing better in school, my

Unknown:

business is blowing up. I'm not even having to advertise.

Unknown:

Because all these moms that I'm helping just word of mouth,

Unknown:

they're telling other people I'm fully booked to get in people's

Unknown:

homes, to organize for them. Things were so great. And then

Unknown:

the pandemic came, and we were forced to stay home. How was I

Unknown:

supposed to stay relevant and be able to help my clients stay

Unknown:

organized if I couldn't physically go in their homes and

Unknown:

do that for them? Well, that was when I pivoted my business

Unknown:

again. And crazy enough, it was one of the biggest and best

Unknown:

years for my business. When I was on lockdown how in the

Unknown:

world? Well as I launched this podcast, so that I could share

Unknown:

my love of organization and these tried and true practical

Unknown:

tips that were really helpful for me and strategies to get

Unknown:

organized. In my classroom in my own home and in my clients

Unknown:

homes. Guess what happened? The Netflix special with Marie

Unknown:

Kondo. If you don't know her, you gotta check her out,

Unknown:

especially if you have any sort of love organization or if you

Unknown:

need to get organized. Her Netflix special called tidying

Unknown:

up with Marie Kondo came out, and that blew up, people were

Unknown:

loving it, right, because I remember we were all home

Unknown:

quarantining What else was there to do but listen to podcasts and

Unknown:

watch Netflix and go for walks and do puzzles. Okay, so then

Unknown:

the home edit, if you know, you know, I love Clea and Joanna

Unknown:

from the home edit. They've got a line at The Container Store.

Unknown:

And my heart is just on fire. Thinking about it again, I don't

Unknown:

think it's the sushi. I'm pretty sure it's just like my passion

Unknown:

for organization. And then, but I was really inspired by them as

Unknown:

well. They were on Netflix. So people were really getting

Unknown:

excited and fired up about organization. Okay, organization

Unknown:

became cool. It became super cool to do a good purge to label

Unknown:

your stuff and get it into awesome containers. That became

Unknown:

a cool thing. And my podcast blew up and the podcast went

Unknown:

from me wondering if only my mom was going to be listening. And

Unknown:

she did. Thanks, Mom. Shout out to you, mom. I say it on every

Unknown:

other podcast episode on the other. I'm gonna say it on this

Unknown:

one too. Mom, I'm glad you're here. I love you. Thank you. A

Unknown:

quick reminder, you can now get my book in four different ways.

Unknown:

Head over to Amazon and search up. I've got you girlfriend. The

Unknown:

subtitle is why getting organized and living this mom

Unknown:

life is not a solo mission. You can find it there on ereader.

Unknown:

That's through the Kindle app, paperback, hardcover, and the

Unknown:

audiobook. So if you're enjoying this podcast, I have a feeling

Unknown:

you may love the audio book. Again. It's called I've got you

Unknown:

girlfriend, why getting organized and living this mom

Unknown:

life is not a solo mission. Thanks so much for making it a

Unknown:

best seller and back to the show. So it wasn't just mom who

Unknown:

was listening. It was so many other people that podcast got

Unknown:

into the top half percent point 5% At one point, globally, it

Unknown:

hovered around the top 1% and 1.5% for the longest time

Unknown:

because people are ready to get organized. We had a need. So I

Unknown:

say that because today you're listening and you're like, Well,

Unknown:

I'm not trying to start a podcast page. But I do feel like

Unknown:

there's a need and I can answer it for someone else. If there's

Unknown:

a pain point that somebody has in you have the answer to it.

Unknown:

That's a gift you've got and you've gotta share it. It's

Unknown:

absolutely necessary. You've got to share it and blessings will

Unknown:

come from that. So next up podcast taking off doing well

Unknown:

and I'm like, You know what, I think it's time to go back to

Unknown:

the book pivoted again was introduced to an amazing person,

Unknown:

Samantha joy,

Unknown:

and as I'm saying this I need to first go back and say so much to

Unknown:

credit to Lindsey and Gould and her team at the podcast

Unknown:

boutique, the ones who helped produce my podcast week after

Unknown:

week, and there was no question that when I decided I wanted to

Unknown:

make this recent pivot and start this podcast that I would go

Unknown:

with them. So shout out to Lindsay, to Liam to all of you

Unknown:

over at the podcast boutique, for helping me do all of these

Unknown:

hard techie editing things that I just don't find joy in you do.

Unknown:

You're so great at it. And I really appreciate you so much.

Unknown:

So after the podcast, and I decided to pivot again and

Unknown:

circle back to that book, because it felt like then it was

Unknown:

the right time. Samantha joy came into my life, I will have

Unknown:

her on as a guest as well, if you have any interest in self

Unknown:

publishing a book, getting it onto Amazon, she not only came

Unknown:

in and took what Jessica Killingly and I had worked on to

Unknown:

create this, a book that I feel so so good about. But Sam came

Unknown:

in. And she actually talked to me about doing final edits and

Unknown:

what it would look like to launch this book. And when it

Unknown:

went live on Amazon, in Gosh, April seems to be the right

Unknown:

month for me. I don't know things always happen in April, I

Unknown:

launched the first podcast in April. And it immediately got

Unknown:

incredible global success and ended up being listened to in

Unknown:

over 85 countries. That's insane to me. Then in April, the book

Unknown:

came out and it hit best seller before I was able to have

Unknown:

breakfast that morning. So obviously it was the right time.

Unknown:

And I needed to Self Publish. Because traditional publishing

Unknown:

wasn't working out for me. And instead of being stuck in the

Unknown:

fact that I tried traditional publishing, and it didn't work

Unknown:

and just being like, well forget it. I'm not doing it anymore. I

Unknown:

wrote this awesome book, nobody's ever going to know

Unknown:

about it. Because it didn't work out. It turns out, it wasn't the

Unknown:

right time. And I wasn't going about it in the right way. And

Unknown:

so it came back up, I just could not sleep at night, because I

Unknown:

kept feeling like it's time for the book to come out. I don't

Unknown:

think I did it the right way before. And now I think I've got

Unknown:

this person in my life, who is she is the expert, I am not. And

Unknown:

she has a plan for how it could work. And I need to lean on her

Unknown:

expertise and experience. So I'm definitely going to have her on.

Unknown:

So make sure that if you have any interest in writing a book,

Unknown:

or if you have written a book, your voice needs to be heard, it

Unknown:

is so important that it gets out into the world. And guess what,

Unknown:

it doesn't have to be a really hard process. It doesn't.

Unknown:

Because if it's aligned with the right timing, and the right

Unknown:

message, and you're coming from a place of serving others, you

Unknown:

need to do that you need to step into that call and you're being

Unknown:

called to do that. So maybe you're listening right now. And

Unknown:

you're like, gosh, Paige, I never really thought of writing

Unknown:

a book, or Gosh, I don't know. I mean, I do help people. And I do

Unknown:

feel like I'm an expert in this area. And yes, maybe I should

Unknown:

consider writing a book. Well, you're here today because you

Unknown:

need to hear that. Yeah, you do. And it doesn't have to be the

Unknown:

most difficult thing. I have connections that I would love to

Unknown:

share with you. Not only will I have these people coming on and

Unknown:

sharing their brilliance and sharing their experience, and

Unknown:

sharing ways that they've pivoted in their own life, and

Unknown:

they have advice for you, so that you can get out of being

Unknown:

stuck, you can get out of that stressed out place. Because they

Unknown:

have answers for you. Then you are hearing this today because

Unknown:

you are meant to. This is something that you need to

Unknown:

pursue. You're being called to take those incredible gifts and

Unknown:

serve other people. And it will not be in vain. If you're doing

Unknown:

it for those right reasons. Oh dear, have I been watching the

Unknown:

bachelorette too much? Is she here for the right reasons? Is

Unknown:

he doing that for the right reasons? I don't know. Again,

Unknown:

back to the binging. Oh my gosh, I love me some Bachelor and

Unknown:

Bachelorette. Anybody else? Anybody else? Okay, guilty

Unknown:

pleasure. So, what happens next? So now I've got the podcast.

Unknown:

I've got the business kids are doing great in school. Wonderful

Unknown:

behavior happening. Feeling really great about that. Boy

Unknown:

Does that side note. Take some stress out of a marriage. That's

Unknown:

kind of nice, right? Okay, then we've got the book coming out

Unknown:

hitting bestseller, holy cow. It's just thing after thing that

Unknown:

I'm like, Wow. I was scared to death. I'm allergic to tech. I

Unknown:

get really nervous and freaked out about it. I am an anxious

Unknown:

person by nature. And these things that I keep trying, when

Unknown:

I know that they're going to be hard, but I just find help and I

Unknown:

find an expert to helped me navigate what that might look

Unknown:

like to keep paying off. And that is why it is so important

Unknown:

for me to share with you that you have got this stuff in your

Unknown:

heart for a reason. And if you just keep having these thoughts

Unknown:

and feelings on a loop, and you can't shut your brain off at

Unknown:

night, it's because it's your time to take action it is. So I

Unknown:

hope that you will see that my story is your story, it might

Unknown:

not be exactly the same. But I've got some things that I've

Unknown:

gone through that really could parallel what you're going

Unknown:

through. And maybe I'm only a couple steps ahead of you. And

Unknown:

so we could go through these things together. I would love

Unknown:

that. So, so much. Maybe I'm way ahead of you and I'm doing other

Unknown:

things. In my business, maybe you don't even have a business

Unknown:

yet, you have an idea. And you keep feeling like it's on a

Unknown:

replay and you got to do something about it, or you'll

Unknown:

never be able to sleep again. Either way, wherever you are in

Unknown:

your life. Just know number one, you are not alone of gotcha

Unknown:

girlfriend. Number two, there is a higher power at work. And that

Unknown:

higher power is working on you and asking you to step into what

Unknown:

you are being called to do. And if you think that's Hocus Pocus,

Unknown:

they are weird. Let

Unknown:

me just tell you, I did too. I did too. And then I took a

Unknown:

chance because I couldn't sleep

Unknown:

at all like Oh curry, I'm gonna try. I'm gonna try. I'm gonna be

Unknown:

scared. I'm gonna do it anyway, we're going to talk about fear

Unknown:

coming up on future episodes as well, because that can

Unknown:

definitely derail you, right? It stop you in your tracks. It's

Unknown:

done that for me, it's delayed my forward motion, because I get

Unknown:

really scared, because I don't know what I'm doing. And I feel

Unknown:

like a big fat imposter, like who's gonna listen to me? So if

Unknown:

you ever feel like that, just know you are not alone. A lot of

Unknown:

people feel like that. I feel like I'm a fairly confident

Unknown:

person. confident people can be totally freaking out on the

Unknown:

inside. That's me high anxiety high. Does it law resonate for

Unknown:

you? That's me, I'm anxious. And I also feel like I don't want to

Unknown:

waste my time. I want to show up and be a good mom, I want to

Unknown:

show up and be a good wife. I want to show up and be a good

Unknown:

business owner and friend. And I want to, I want to say things

Unknown:

and do things that I feel proud of. And let me make a very clear

Unknown:

distinction. If you're hearing those things, and you're like, I

Unknown:

am not in that place page, I just want you to know, I'm not

Unknown:

doing anything perfectly. It is really messy. Ever an organized

Unknown:

person, that's hard. But what I know is that I will not be able

Unknown:

to go through life and not attempt some of these hard

Unknown:

things in a super messy way. Because it's the only way

Unknown:

they're gonna get accomplished. It's going to be messy at first,

Unknown:

I'm going to be floundering. You might be in this position, too.

Unknown:

But it's okay. Have you ever heard that phrase? Make your

Unknown:

mess your message? Yeah, that's what you got to do. Doesn't have

Unknown:

to be perfect. You don't have to have it all figured out yet. But

Unknown:

use your mess. Use your struggle, use whatever you're

Unknown:

going through. Be transparent, be honest, and share it. People

Unknown:

are going to absolutely resonate with you so much more. They're

Unknown:

they're going to be like whoa, she or he. Hi, guys, if you're

Unknown:

listening Hi, is super relatable. That's what we want.

Unknown:

We want to connect with people. And we want to use our gifts to

Unknown:

serve others. All right, are you with me? All right. That's just

Unknown:

the beginning of some of what my life has been like in pivoting.

Unknown:

And I cannot wait to share with you next episode all about how I

Unknown:

took these three simple steps that were working in my

Unknown:

kindergarten classroom that were working on the home front to

Unknown:

apply in my business. And at first I was using them when I

Unknown:

was talking about getting organized. And what I realized

Unknown:

is you can actually use the three E's, to apply them to any

Unknown:

type of goal setting you have, and getting to that goal in

Unknown:

three simple steps. So setting goals, accomplishing them three

Unknown:

steps at a time. Are you interested? If you are, then

Unknown:

join me on the next episode, I'm gonna explain a little bit more

Unknown:

about what that means. What that looks like how you can use it in

Unknown:

your life to simplify things. Yes, please. Life is

Unknown:

complicated. Let's not make everything complicated. Let's

Unknown:

figure out a way to simplify it. So join me for that. And also if
