Well, good morning, everybody.
Speaker AWelcome back.
Speaker AI have with us today a very special friend.
Speaker AShe is Doris Angel.
Speaker AShe grew up in a musical, artistic household.
Speaker AShe learned the spiritual essence of a healing, wholesome, spiritual, expressive life through dance, piano, and voice lessons at a very early age.
Speaker AShe has two degrees in music.
Speaker AI'm gonna let her tell you all about this.
Speaker AIt says with two music degrees and an education degree.
Speaker AAnd she's now a performer, a church singer.
Speaker AShe's a teacher.
Speaker ASo she is all kinds of things.
Speaker ABut more importantly, she likes to delve into the spiritual world and she talks about Divine Flow and she does workshops and all kinds of fun stuff.
Speaker ASo welcome, Doris.
Speaker BThank you for having me.
Speaker BI appreciate being here very much.
Speaker AYeah, no, this is super fun.
Speaker ASo.
Speaker AAnd we didn't really get to talk before this, but I am just reading your bio and seems like you've been through a lot.
Speaker ASo you've been through the adversity, you've been through trauma, you found your spiritual way out of it.
Speaker AAnd you look happy.
Speaker AI see your kneeling crisscross applesauce on the ground.
Speaker AI love that.
Speaker AIf you're not watching and you're just listening, you're probably wondering why I'm in Florida with snow capped mountains in the background on my laptop.
Speaker ABut we're In Florida, it's 40 some degrees, which is super cold from Florida.
Speaker AAnd I want nothing more right now than to be in the mountains.
Speaker ASo I'm like, I'm gonna put myself in.
Speaker BOkay.
Speaker ASo that's why I'm there today.
Speaker BAll right, good.
Speaker ASo tell me a little bit about what exactly a Divine Flow workshop is.
Speaker BIt is coming back to your own self, your own heart and soul, using the gifts that God gave me through speaking through the ancients peoples, through the shamans, through the rituals of breath, song and.
Speaker BExcuse me.
Speaker BBreath, song and movement.
Speaker BAnd as a dancer.
Speaker BAs a.
Speaker BAs a dancer, when very young, it became very natural for me to move energies and move so I can expand, band my aura, moving in circles with my original harp music and then touching upon the angelic realm.
Speaker BAlso part of how I grew up as a church singer, everybody was calling me singing angel in church.
Speaker BOkay, I guess I'll take it.
Speaker BThank you.
Speaker BSo I do these descants on silent night and all sorts of things in this lovely hippie Episcopalian church.
Speaker BI grew up in the 70s.
Speaker BFantastic experience as a foundation.
Speaker BSo then my insomnia comes in and I decide, well, I'm very good with breath.
Speaker BSo I delved into somatic breath work, trying to teach people that which was only a confirmation of my intuitiveness about how breath can heal many, many things along with a singing voice.
Speaker BAnd when I sing, the.
Speaker BWhy that came into my head, I don't know, just songs just come into my head from anywhere and everywhere all at once.
Speaker BAnd when I keep doing all of that singing and encouraging people, it's raising your vibration to the highest frequency you can from your own body without relying on an instrument or anything outside that you think you need.
Speaker AI love that.
Speaker ASo what do you suggest for people that have a horrible singing voice that can't hit the highest frequencies as you just did?
Speaker BI only suggest only if you want to explore it, then you reach out to me.
Speaker BI'm not going to just say you need.
Speaker BYou need to feel that.
Speaker BThat is new, that is wonderful to.
Speaker BTo explore and.
Speaker BAnd just enjoy.
Speaker BI enjoy it because I grew up as a voice student at 14 and it just came to me naturally.
Speaker BAnyways, when you're clearing out, you're actually raising your whole body with the high notes.
Speaker BYour whole vibration is way up there already with the high notes.
Speaker BAnd even when I hear some singers singing high notes, I just get a thrill out of it and get healed in some ways, in many ways, just by osmosis.
Speaker BSo.
Speaker BYeah.
Speaker AWell, it's funny how you say, you know, just raising that highest frequency of just being happy and joyful.
Speaker AI remember I. I don't have a good singing voice.
Speaker AI'm just gonna be.
Speaker AI'm just gonna throw it out there.
Speaker AWho cares?
Speaker ABut boy, when I'm in the car by myself, I will belt it out.
Speaker AI don't care.
Speaker AWho cares?
Speaker AYou know?
Speaker AYes, I actually, it was funny.
Speaker AMy daughter was probably three or four, I think, and we were in church and we went to a Catholic church up in New Jersey, and we were sitting there and, you know, Catholic church is all about singing and they do a lot of singing throughout.
Speaker AAnd my daughter looked over at me as innocently as could she could, and she said, mommy, don't sing.
Speaker AAnd I said, what?
Speaker AAnd she said, if Jesus covers.
Speaker ACovers his ears so he doesn't have to hear you, he's not going to hear all these people's prayers.
Speaker BOh.
Speaker BOh, how funny.
Speaker BOkay.
Speaker AIt was so innocent and.
Speaker ABut it was so heartfelt.
Speaker AI was like, oh, my gosh, like, slap me, you know?
Speaker ABut it is funny because we are both.
Speaker ANeither one of us have good singing voices, but we will sing so loud in the car and.
Speaker AAnd it does.
Speaker AIt does raise that vibration of just joy and happiness.
Speaker BAnd I mean, it doesn't have to be high notes, but I feel, you know, it can be any, any as long as you're raising that, increasing the space in your mouth to highest degree, which is joyfulness at any vibration, at any pitch.
Speaker BBut I particularly miss doing high notes a lot, so I just try and do them.
Speaker BBut what I have found as, as a old hippie in the hippie days, voices were met in the 50s, 40s, 30s, 50s, 60s, 70s were very angelic sounding.
Speaker BAnyways.
Speaker BJust think of John Denver.
Speaker BRight, Right.
Speaker BSo we had that softness in the voice and it changed.
Speaker BI'm trying to bring that back and it is coming back and I can see that.
Speaker BBut of the singing, that makes a huge difference in the spirit of seeing with other people is what I really think is the most healing.
Speaker AWell, you know, it's funny because when you look at places, not necessarily here, but in the United States, but I do.
Speaker AI mean, we do see it, but when you look at places like in some other countries, like you look down in Africa and you watch them in their.
Speaker AIn their groups and their clans, whatever you call them, and they're dancing and singing and just like you said, I mean, like you were showing the arms flailing and it just, it's just releasing, if nothing else.
Speaker AOh.
Speaker BOh, yeah.
Speaker BSo.
Speaker BSo I found myself in Michigan by myself.
Speaker BSo I said, okay, I guess I'll just do some solo CDs, which I've already done in California anyways.
Speaker BSo I have done some solo work.
Speaker BBut as.
Speaker BAs a leader in a church and a leader in singing, I do feel that we need to be singing together, especially nowadays.
Speaker BAnd because when, when people are next to me, singing next to me, it has the.
Speaker BThe experience is that they start singing better just by listening to my spirit and my tone of voice.
Speaker BThey just start singing better, period, just by being next to me.
Speaker BAnd whether that can happen online.
Speaker BProbably could, yeah, it has happened online.
Speaker BBut on the other hand, I've also helped people with the breath work and helped many, many people and reminding them of that breath, that breath is spirit.
Speaker AYes, it does.
Speaker BBreath is love.
Speaker BBreath is energy sent from above.
Speaker BBreath is spirit.
Speaker BBreath is love.
Speaker BBreath is energy sent from above.
Speaker BAnd I'm trying to teach that to people all over the place.
Speaker AThat is.
Speaker AThat is amazing.
Speaker ASo talk.
Speaker ALet's go back and get on a more serious note because you have come from a place of some serious adversity.
Speaker BOh, yeah.
Speaker ATalk about how.
Speaker AWe'll talk about your experience.
Speaker AI think it was with a sibling and how you use the dance, the singing or whatever you use to get yourself out of that dark place.
Speaker BYeah, it's just.
Speaker BIt's just reminding myself of the gods gifts that gave me as.
Speaker BAs a child and my beautiful 70s, 60s 70s childhood of love, of pure love from my parents and love all around from church.
Speaker BSo it was just a reminder of that joyfulness that I had as a child and bringing that into people's periphery if I can as much as possible without thinking about negative all the time, which I hear a lot, which is very.
Speaker BHaving a hard time with that these days.
Speaker BSo I'm trying to, you know, ignore that and just emphasize the positive.
Speaker BBut my adversity also was the insomnia I got from just.
Speaker BIt was really weird from an.
Speaker BAn indecisive point of whether when I'm going to see my dad who'd fallen in his house, I was in California, he was in Michigan.
Speaker BAnd it was all very.
Speaker BA matter of stuckness in my mind.
Speaker BWhat.
Speaker BWhat am I going to do?
Speaker BAnd then I got insomnia, which is kind of weird, but it was a menopausal thing too.
Speaker BSo.
Speaker BYeah.
Speaker BKind of before menopause.
Speaker BSo that.
Speaker BAnyways, that's how that developed.
Speaker BAnd then I go to Michigan.
Speaker BHarps fell on my lap from various.
Speaker BFrom heaven, from various friends.
Speaker BAnd then I got the current harp I have, I got in San Francisco when I did a gig in San Francisco.
Speaker BSo I guess it was meant to be.
Speaker BI'm making a harp cd.
Speaker BI meant to be make a harp cd.
Speaker BBreath of Angel Wings don't you see Sunspot defy all streaming platforms let's go, let's go.
Speaker BLet's raise the vibe.
Speaker BAnd if you choose to love my music, it.
Speaker BIt helps my.
Speaker BActually my CD Breath of Angel Wings has helped many, many people and clients fall asleep and relieve the mind get back in the body.
Speaker BSo my CD has a lot of energy in it.
Speaker BIt's flow, flowing energy.
Speaker BIt's not just static meditation music.
Speaker BIt's flowing, energetic, flowing, moving energy.
Speaker AAnd it's called With a Voice in
Speaker Bmy Breath of Angel Wings.
Speaker BYou won't find any other CD that's named that.
Speaker BYou find it on Google, it comes up right away because no one else has that title but me.
Speaker BWhich is very nice to hear and I love that.
Speaker ABreath of Angel Wings.
Speaker AThat is.
Speaker BIt makes perfect sense if you think about it.
Speaker AIt really does.
Speaker AIt really does.
Speaker ASo you were talking and I know somewhere I wrote or I read somewhere or something.
Speaker ABut you, I mean you're concerned about society today, clearly.
Speaker AWhat are your concerns?
Speaker BThe Lack of what we used to have in the old days of empathy, just being sensitive to those that need attention.
Speaker BAnd I, and I'm with his partner.
Speaker BHe needed attention, so I gave it to him.
Speaker BSo now I'm ready to move on.
Speaker BBut just needing that sensitivity of being needful of whatever, whatever it could be, need mainly love and attention.
Speaker BAnd it.
Speaker BAll it does is even if a phone call, just a phone call to somebody who's alone and is lonely and needing love, just say, I love you, and that's all it takes.
Speaker BAnd, and that was started by a lady, Wendy was her name on Facebook.
Speaker BIn 2017 or so, she started doing that and she would end all her lives with saying I love you.
Speaker BAnd I felt that made a huge difference just saying it.
Speaker AYep.
Speaker AWell, sometimes, just.
Speaker ASometimes people just need to hear it.
Speaker AThere's people out there that have never heard it or they've heard it and they just don't believe it.
Speaker AAnd it just.
Speaker AYou just never know when you're going to catch them at the right time and they're.
Speaker AIt's going to land.
Speaker BAnd the other thing is, is the, the intention we have in our lives has to come back.
Speaker BThe intention of creating something soft, gentle, caressing and loving, as in a healing circle of people trying to really heal each other in an intentional way.
Speaker BNot robotic.
Speaker ARight.
Speaker BHeartfelt and all that.
Speaker AExactly.
Speaker AAnd like we said, you know, give that, give that smile, do something and don't expect anything in return because that's right, that's not the heart, really.
Speaker ATrue, true giving.
Speaker AYeah, but no, I agree with the empathy part and just trying to, you know, and, and big difference for the listeners out there.
Speaker AYou've heard of people being, you know, with the word sympathy and empathy, two totally different things.
Speaker AI mean, to me, now you might disagree, but, you know, I can feel sorry for people, but I feel like people don't want pity.
Speaker AThey don't want to be felt sorry for.
Speaker AThey want someone to get in their shoes, walk with them and try to see life from their lens.
Speaker BRight.
Speaker BAnd that, that's what my mother taught me.
Speaker BMother taught, my mother taught me to anticipate needs, to anticipate needs without someone having to ask.
Speaker BBecause when you're asking, it's embarrassing, especially in whatever position you have to be in when you ask, for instance, or I'm asking for just anything, it can be embarrassing.
Speaker BSo people have to be sensitive.
Speaker BThat's all right.
Speaker AOh, yeah.
Speaker AJust a little more empathy, a little more compassion goes a whole long way.
Speaker BCompassion is the highest vibration, one of the Highest vibrations.
Speaker AOkay, so another question.
Speaker AAnd you asked me.
Speaker AI have.
Speaker AI just have your questions in front of me, so I'm just gonna nail.
Speaker AKind of nail them because I like your big picture perspective on them.
Speaker ABut define healing for me.
Speaker BDefine what?
Speaker AHealing.
Speaker AWhat do you think healing means?
Speaker BWell, everybody has different, you know, what.
Speaker BWhat are we trying to heal?
Speaker BBut I think the heart and the soul, and however that is for you, the heart and soul.
Speaker BFor me, it's helping others and.
Speaker BAnd doing and fulfilling my soul with the gifts that God gave me.
Speaker ANice.
Speaker AI was just.
Speaker AIt was just on your list of questions.
Speaker ASo I'm like, well, I'm going to ask it.
Speaker AHow do you define healing?
Speaker ABecause like you said, everybody looks at healing differently.
Speaker BYeah.
Speaker AAnd.
Speaker AAnd it is.
Speaker AI always, you know, I say that with my clients.
Speaker AYou have to take a body, mind, and spirit approach.
Speaker AYou can't just fix one.
Speaker BOh, no, no.
Speaker AYou have to get them all in alignment.
Speaker AFix them all.
Speaker AAnd once they're all in alignment, then it's like you're truly healed from whatever.
Speaker AI mean, you know, whatever you're working on, whatever you're challenges.
Speaker AI guess you could say, boom.
Speaker BYeah, go ahead.
Speaker ANo, no, no, go ahead.
Speaker BThe mind.
Speaker BYeah, the mind is way too overemphasized, so it's got to be integrated with your feelings and heart and soul, which has not been happening.
Speaker BAnd that's why I'm kind of having a bit of.
Speaker BOf a. Anxiety about things.
Speaker BSo we got to integrate.
Speaker BIntegrate what is most important to say to people and just information.
Speaker BThank you so much.
Speaker AExactly.
Speaker AYou know, and it's even like, I'll.
Speaker AYou know, I spoke to a lady the other day, and she said to me, you know, I've been going to therapy for 11 years, and I just.
Speaker AThere's something missing.
Speaker AShe had never, you know, she had never been told to ask herself a question and feel where she feels it in her body.
Speaker AAnd.
Speaker AAnd so that, like, they were missing that whole body release part of it.
Speaker AIt's like the mind, they were working on that, but it's like, oh, my gosh, it's so stuck in her gut and her back.
Speaker ANo.
Speaker AAnd it's tearing her apart.
Speaker AAnd it's like.
Speaker AAnd in order to do that.
Speaker AHow do you do that?
Speaker AThat stuff that is stuck is stuck so deep.
Speaker AThat's your.
Speaker AThat's your conscious, unconscious mind.
Speaker AYou know, that's.
Speaker AIt's all together.
Speaker AIt's all one big fluent program, I guess you could say.
Speaker ABut so talk about your.
Speaker BYour work.
Speaker BYes.
Speaker BSo I have divine Workshops that I have conducted various places and then get my phone and also online and then helping offline and online, various people I run across and friends just reminding them that.
Speaker BAnd like the, with the breath, the breath is easiest because people can breathe right?
Speaker BCan't always sing.
Speaker BSo for instance, a friend of mine, a musician, had back pain from playing his drum to.
Speaker BIn a wrong position.
Speaker BSo I just came to his house briefly, told him to breathe into his back and hold it and it got rid of the nerve, the pain of his nerve and muscles right away.
Speaker BAnd plus I did massage it also.
Speaker ARight.
Speaker BAnd then another nurse, nurse online, a nurse took my program online, was crying after I told her to breathe.
Speaker BAnd she says she was just, she did a video on that.
Speaker BAnd then various other clients, many others that have, have had relief from just, you know, the breath program and stuff like that.
Speaker BThe somatic breath is a little bit more of a program that's a little bit more difficult for people.
Speaker BSo I just keep it simple and just do the breath that relieves things, many things.
Speaker AAnd it is amazing how sometimes even like you said, just breathing into, intentionally breathing into the area that hurts can loosen it up, spend that energy, get the blood flowing going in that direction.
Speaker AYou know, you can, it's amazing what you can do without medicine and Tylenol and.
Speaker BYes.
Speaker BAnd another, another lady, another lady had pneumonia and she just was kind of negative about it.
Speaker BYou know, some people, older ladies get negative.
Speaker BIt says all you have to do is breathe and relieve your mind and then you'll be fine.
Speaker BYou know, with the.
Speaker BBecause the breath is, is love from God and it's healing.
Speaker BYou just have to believe in it and have that intention.
Speaker AAbsolutely.
Speaker AAnd that's the biggest thing is the intention.
Speaker AYou know, I always say when it, when you're breathing, it's.
Speaker AMy husband woke me up this morning and remind me, Today is the one year anniversary of my stroke I had last January 20th, when I was having that stroke, I.
Speaker AIt was like I was sitting there, everybody was kind of man like frantic around me, which I don't blame them.
Speaker AThey were trying to help me out, but I was just breathing all that positive white energy into my brain that I could possibly muster up and through my heart.
Speaker AAnd, and I feel like that kept me, kept me in a mu.
Speaker ALike I'm way better off than I would have been had I not done that.
Speaker AI was in, you know, I was, I was telling people I was in the ambulance and the ambulance driver said to me, you know, blood pressure 222 over 110.
Speaker AAnd then he looked at me and he goes ironically, heart rate 74.
Speaker AI said yeah, that would be Raik.
Speaker AI said, yeah, that would be the Raiki I was doing on myself right here.
Speaker BYes.
Speaker BIt is a matter of, of just don't panic and just do what the gods meant you to do.
Speaker BYeah.
Speaker AAnd I'm sitting here today, happy, healthy, moving like so celebrate it.
Speaker AIt is absolutely amazing what intention and breath and just taking that God given energy can do for you.
Speaker AI love it, love it, love it.
Speaker ASo hey, this has been super fun.
Speaker ATell people if they want to work with you, where do they reach you?
Speaker BWell, I'm on Tick Tock Doris Angel Williams.
Speaker BI'm on Instagram, Doris angel sings or Facebook Doris Marie Williams and they can message me there.
Speaker BI'm just currently have a va finally working out getting back my website and she's working on marketing but, but she's been with me for quite some time and she is going to take over some marketing.
Speaker BBut at any rate I do have shows coming up, workshops I'm supposed to be working on with Self love at this point.
Speaker BJournaling and figuring out direction for our souls and our hearts and the future, everybody.
Speaker BAnd if anybody wants to learn high notes or learn how to sing better or whatever, they can also contact me, but that's up to them.
Speaker BRight?
Speaker ARight.
Speaker BBut the breath certainly with different breath techniques that I've learned from the Indians, the fire breath, the ocean breath, the alternative nostril, just the held breath and the short breath, the somatic breath which I've learned also.
Speaker BAnd, and the circle movement.
Speaker BCircle.
Speaker BSo my Facebook will, will show all and TikTok a lot of videos and Instagram as well.
Speaker BAnd I'm on, I'm on Spotify.
Speaker BBreath of Angel Wings you can find on Spotify.
Speaker ASo you're everywhere.
Speaker AI love that, love that.
Speaker ASo, and I will put all those in the show notes so people can find you when they're looking for you.
Speaker ANow before we go, I first of all, I appreciate you coming on.
Speaker AI loved it.
Speaker AI love your energy.
Speaker AAnd second, if you had to give the audience one big picture, assuming that this audience knowing that the name of the podcast is Adult child of dysfunction and many of the listeners have been through some serious crapola, what is your big P, big picture message for them?
Speaker BWell, Trying to think what, what could I say?
Speaker BJust, Just find a way back to your heart and with the breath and breathe in your heart and know that you can access at any time the healing of God, the healing of Mother Nature, get.
Speaker BGet grounded.
Speaker BGet in some water and heal yourself.
Speaker AAmen.
Speaker AI love it.
Speaker AI love when people come on and reiterate what we say all the time.
Speaker AEverything you have inside you, I say I love it.
Speaker AI just love it.
Speaker AIt's you and your God.
Speaker AYou got it all.
Speaker AStop looking from the.
Speaker AFor the outside.
Speaker AStop looking everywhere but inside.
Speaker ASo, yes.
Speaker AThank you again so much for coming on, Doris.
Speaker AAll right.
Speaker AOkay.
Speaker AAnd for everybody else.
Speaker AYes, you, too.
Speaker AAnd for everybody else out there listening, you heard it.
Speaker AJust breathe.
Speaker ABreathe into your heart.
Speaker APut your hand on one heart, put your other hand on the.
Speaker AOr, put your one hand on your heart, put your one other hand on your belly and just say, I am loved, I am safe.
Speaker AI am God's, and I am way, way more than I ever thought I could be.
Speaker AYou all have a blessed day.
Speaker BDefinitely.
Speaker BYou, too.
Speaker BThank you so much.
Speaker BI appreciate so much Tammy being here in your presence.
Speaker AYes, you're welcome.
