Welcome to Love Notes from Rhonda.
Speaker AAnd today I want you to be thinking about all the people that supported you throughout your life.
Speaker AI want you to think of all the people you remember or barely remember.
Speaker AAll the people that maybe you don't remember being with, but you know that they supported you.
Speaker AMaybe they're a family member or maybe a family friend.
Speaker AMaybe you're a distant relative, or maybe it's just somebody that you knew took care of you when you were growing up in some way.
Speaker BLet's think about all the people that.
Speaker AHelped us become who we are today.
Speaker AAll the people that supported us looked at us with a friendly smile, gave.
Speaker BUs encouragement, just in some way told us, keep going, you're okay.
Speaker AIt's all right.
Speaker AIt will be all right.
Speaker AJust keep going.
Speaker AI think about my high school and the office ladies that worked there.
Speaker AYou know, we had our principal and then the office ladies.
Speaker AAnd I used to go by the office all the time and say hi to the office ladies.
Speaker ABecause the office ladies always helped me when I was really having a hard day.
Speaker AAfter my parents died, they were always super kind to me.
Speaker BIf I had to feel like I.
Speaker AJust couldn't go to school for that next period, they would give me an excuse note.
Speaker AThey always had my back.
Speaker BThey didn't know me per se, like.
Speaker AI didn't know them from anywhere else besides school.
Speaker ABut they supported me.
Speaker AThey helped me.
Speaker BMy high school counselor encouraged me to.
Speaker AGo for a scholarship.
Speaker AI think about all the people that supported me and helped me in all these little ways.
Speaker AIt's so easy to remember all the people that didn't, right?
Speaker ASo easy to think about all the people that let us down.
Speaker BBut today, let's think about all the.
Speaker APeople that were there for us, even if it was just for a minute.
Speaker ALike the time I got stuck in the middle of Wisconsin, driving in the middle of the night, and my car broke down and there was nothing around, no one around.
Speaker AI was in the middle of nowhere, and this truck pulled up and it was a guy.
Speaker BAnd of course I was nervous and.
Speaker AScared, but there was nowhere else to go and no one else to help me.
Speaker AAnd he said, you know, the place to fix your car isn't gonna be open till tomorrow, so why don't you come to my house?
Speaker AAnd me and my wife, we have an extra room and we'll put you up.
Speaker AAnd I remember being, on one hand, petrified, and on the other hand, so grateful.
Speaker AAnd I slept in a stranger's house that night until the very next morning, until I could get my car fixed.
Speaker ACause I was in the middle of nowhere.
Speaker AI don't know their name.
Speaker AI don't remember where I was.
Speaker AI just knew I was in the middle of Wisconsin.
Speaker ASo that's your job today.
Speaker AThat's your opportunity today.
Speaker AThat's what's available to you today, is get out a piece of paper and just start writing down Anyone that's touched you, anyone that supported you, anyone that's encouraged you, anyone that has opened your heart and made you believe in the goodness of people.
Speaker AMade you believe in you.
Speaker ALet's do that today, together.
Speaker ARemember all the good in people today.
Speaker AAll the good.
Speaker AThere is so much good in people.
Speaker ALet's remember that.
Speaker AUntil next time.
Speaker ABe fearless.
Speaker AI love you.
Speaker BSa.
