Speaker A

Welcome to Love Notes from Rhonda.

Speaker A

And today I want you to be thinking about all the people that supported you throughout your life.

Speaker A

I want you to think of all the people you remember or barely remember.

Speaker A

All the people that maybe you don't remember being with, but you know that they supported you.

Speaker A

Maybe they're a family member or maybe a family friend.

Speaker A

Maybe you're a distant relative, or maybe it's just somebody that you knew took care of you when you were growing up in some way.

Speaker B

Let's think about all the people that.

Speaker A

Helped us become who we are today.

Speaker A

All the people that supported us looked at us with a friendly smile, gave.

Speaker B

Us encouragement, just in some way told us, keep going, you're okay.

Speaker A

It's all right.

Speaker A

It will be all right.

Speaker A

Just keep going.

Speaker A

I think about my high school and the office ladies that worked there.

Speaker A

You know, we had our principal and then the office ladies.

Speaker A

And I used to go by the office all the time and say hi to the office ladies.

Speaker A

Because the office ladies always helped me when I was really having a hard day.

Speaker A

After my parents died, they were always super kind to me.

Speaker B

If I had to feel like I.

Speaker A

Just couldn't go to school for that next period, they would give me an excuse note.

Speaker A

They always had my back.

Speaker B

They didn't know me per se, like.

Speaker A

I didn't know them from anywhere else besides school.

Speaker A

But they supported me.

Speaker A

They helped me.

Speaker B

My high school counselor encouraged me to.

Speaker A

Go for a scholarship.

Speaker A

I think about all the people that supported me and helped me in all these little ways.

Speaker A

It's so easy to remember all the people that didn't, right?

Speaker A

So easy to think about all the people that let us down.

Speaker B

But today, let's think about all the.

Speaker A

People that were there for us, even if it was just for a minute.

Speaker A

Like the time I got stuck in the middle of Wisconsin, driving in the middle of the night, and my car broke down and there was nothing around, no one around.

Speaker A

I was in the middle of nowhere, and this truck pulled up and it was a guy.

Speaker B

And of course I was nervous and.

Speaker A

Scared, but there was nowhere else to go and no one else to help me.

Speaker A

And he said, you know, the place to fix your car isn't gonna be open till tomorrow, so why don't you come to my house?

Speaker A

And me and my wife, we have an extra room and we'll put you up.

Speaker A

And I remember being, on one hand, petrified, and on the other hand, so grateful.

Speaker A

And I slept in a stranger's house that night until the very next morning, until I could get my car fixed.

Speaker A

Cause I was in the middle of nowhere.

Speaker A

I don't know their name.

Speaker A

I don't remember where I was.

Speaker A

I just knew I was in the middle of Wisconsin.

Speaker A

So that's your job today.

Speaker A

That's your opportunity today.

Speaker A

That's what's available to you today, is get out a piece of paper and just start writing down Anyone that's touched you, anyone that supported you, anyone that's encouraged you, anyone that has opened your heart and made you believe in the goodness of people.

Speaker A

Made you believe in you.

Speaker A

Let's do that today, together.

Speaker A

Remember all the good in people today.

Speaker A

All the good.

Speaker A

There is so much good in people.

Speaker A

Let's remember that.

Speaker A

Until next time.

Speaker A

Be fearless.

Speaker A

I love you.
