Speaker B

Hello everyone and welcome back to the Elevated Edit podcast.

Speaker B

I hope y'all had an amazing Christmas holiday.

Speaker B

I know we certainly did.

Speaker B

Even though I ate entirely too much, I slept until 9:30 on Christmas and then I woke up and got ready and we went and ate a huge lunch and then I took like a three hour nap and then we went to bed early.

Speaker B

So Christmas Day was full of rest, which maybe was exactly what I needed.

Speaker B

And if y'all are like us, the holiday season is not over yet.

Speaker B

We are going out of town for the New Year's holiday.

Speaker B

We're going to Austin to check some things off of our Austin bucket list and just enjoy a couple of days out of town together.

Speaker B

And that is why today's short and sweet episode is going to be very short and sweet.

Speaker B

Because if y'all know me as much as I try, I procrastinate packing until the last minute.

Speaker B

So I need to go pack my suitcase.

Speaker B

So I'm not doing it literally, as we are trying to head out of the door.

Speaker B

And today we're going to talk about a season that I am really leaning into.

Speaker B

I'm in a lot of different mastermind groups and I know a lot of other women are leaning into this as well.

Speaker B

And I think it's exciting because it's almost the opposite of what has been portrayed in the media and on social media for the last couple of years, I would say up to the last decade.

Speaker B

And that is leaning into a season of Quiet Hustle.

Speaker B

Building your dreams without the noise.

Speaker B

So like I said, in today's world, everyone is chasing the hustle.

Speaker B

Constantly grinding, always posting about accomplishments and how hard we're working and always proving, you know, how great we are, all the things that we're doing.

Speaker B

And I'm raising my hand because I have been super guilty of that as well.

Speaker B

But one thing I've learned is that the most powerful way to build your dream life isn't through the noise, but it's through quiet, focused action.

Speaker B

So today we're going to talk about the quiet Hustle.

Speaker B

Working on your dreams with intention and depth, without the need for constant validation or external praise.

Speaker B

For me personally, I've learned that real success isn't in being super loud.

Speaker B

It's in being deeply focused and disciplined, which is what I'm embracing more than ever.

Speaker B

Today, I'll share how you can start building your dreams quietly, with purpose, and without burning out.

Speaker B

Let's define what Quiet Hustle is.

Speaker B

Quiet Hustle is all about choosing intentional, focused action over chaos and noise.

Speaker B

It's about getting clear on what matters and working towards your goals with a steady and calm determination.

Speaker B

And this is so powerful because when you focus on the work without getting distracted by comparison and social media or the pressure to hustle harder, that is where real growth happens.

Speaker B

And quiet Hustle also allows you to stay grounded while pursuing your goals.

Speaker B

And this is great because slow, steady growth, instead of rushing and doing work that actually moves the needle, whether or not anyone notices, all of this builds real, lasting success.

Speaker B

So let's talk about a couple of ways that we can embrace the quiet hustle in our lives.

Speaker B

Number one, focus on deep work.

Speaker B

This is so important, especially in today's world, because there are so many distractions.

Speaker B

And with marketing, there are so many different ways that companies and brands tell you, oh, you have to do this in order to be successful.

Speaker B

If you want to do this, you need to buy the new course.

Speaker B

If you want to do this, you have to read this book.

Speaker B

Like, there's all these.

Speaker B

If you want to, you have to.

Speaker B

And it's really hard to do deep work because you go down a rabbit hole.

Speaker B

And when you start doing one thing, all of a sudden you realize you need to be doing 52 things.

Speaker B

But with Quiet Hustle, instead of jumping between tasks, we are focusing on the one thing that will move us forward.

Speaker B

Deep work is all about immersion without distractions.

Speaker B

So a quick tip for this is to dedicate 30 to 45 minutes each day to focus deeply on one task.

Speaker B

No emails, no notifications, just full, deep immersion.

Speaker B

And if 30 to 45 minutes sounds like a lot to you, it was for me when I first started on this journey.

Speaker B

Time block, 15 minutes.

Speaker B

And when I say time block, like, I set an actual timer on my phone.

Speaker B

If you are amazing at focus, you can skip this step.

Speaker B

But for me, that was such a game changer because I tell myself, like, okay, from this time, this starts to when the timer goes off, like, you have to do deep, focused work.

Speaker B

And I usually can go a little bit longer, but it just kind of gets my mind and like a, okay, I don't have to do this for five hours.

Speaker B

It's just 15 minutes.

Speaker B

I can focus for 15 minutes, and it has helped me so much.

Speaker B

Number two, be intentional with your time.

Speaker B

The quiet hustle means saying no to things that don't align with your bigger vision.

Speaker B

It's about protecting your time and using it wisely once again.

Speaker B

This is really difficult in today's day and age.

Speaker B

We are being pulled in a thousand different directions.

Speaker B

But if we want to make progress on big goals, whether they are personal or professional, we have to make priorities.

Speaker B

It's just what it is.

Speaker B

And for me, it has helped to write down my top three priorities for the week and anything outside of that, either I have to delegate it to someone else, or I have to defer it to a later time on the calendar.

Speaker B

Calendar.

Speaker B

Or I have to let it go.

Speaker B

And that's happened quite a bit here lately is, you know, an idea will come to me or an opportunity will come to me, and I'll have to look at my top three priorities.

Speaker B

And I'm like, I just.

Speaker B

I can't do that right now or I can't do that at all.

Speaker B

The answer is just no.

Speaker B

I feel like when you're setting boundaries and you say not right now or maybe at a later time, and you don't really mean it, that hurts you and the other person.

Speaker B

That's just a little quick tip that I am discovering here lately is when I started setting boundaries, I was like.

Blakely Ramsey

Oh, well, that's just.

Speaker B

It just doesn't work for me right now.

Speaker B

Or maybe we can come back to that.

Speaker B

And now I'm like, no, I appreciate the offer, but that just doesn't work for me, period.

Speaker B

And it doesn't leave the door open.

Speaker B

It doesn't make things awkward.

Speaker B

It doesn't hurt feelings later on down the road.

Speaker B

It's just a no.

Speaker B

3.

Speaker B

Block out the noise.

Speaker B

The quiet hustle thrives in silence.

Speaker B

We live in a world full of distractions, but to build something meaningful, you have to protect your focus.

Speaker B

So a quick tip for this one is set boundaries with your social media or whatever it is that keeps you distracted.

Speaker B

For me, it was social media, and I would look at my time.

Speaker B

You know, on your iPhone, they show you the time you spent on different apps.

Speaker B

And I was like, oh, my goodness, that is out of control.

Speaker B

Like, what could I have gotten done in that time?

Speaker B

And so for me, I deleted Facebook from my phone.

Speaker B

I obviously still have an account, and I can get on there on my laptop, but I don't need instant access to see what everyone else is doing all day, every day, because I'm so freaking nosy.

Speaker B

I want to go look.

Speaker B

And I was spending three hours a day on Facebook and that's so embarrassing, but it was out of control.

Speaker B

And that wasn't even getting started on TikTok.

Speaker B

Like, I had to delete TikTok too.

Speaker B

That one was definitely a time suck for me.

Speaker B

But whatever it is that you are struggling with, like set boundaries for yourself and remember that this comes from like a place of self love and not a place of punishment and just see if that works for you.

Speaker B

For me, now that I have been off of Facebook, when I get on there, I'm like, oh, this is such bad energy.

Speaker B

But that's a whole different episode.

Speaker B

An episode just on Facebook.

Speaker B

And number four, celebrate small wins.

Speaker B

The quiet hustle isn't about shouting from the rooftops.

Speaker B

It's about seeing the incremental progress and celebrating each small step.

Speaker B

This one has been huge for me because I used to be someone who would accomplish something really great, and I would not even take five minutes to be happy about it or excited about it.

Speaker B

I would just jump straight into the next thing.

Speaker B

And I always had this feeling of never accomplishing anything.

Speaker B

And in reality, I was accomplishing a lot.

Speaker B

But because I wasn't letting myself celebrate the small wins, it just.

Speaker B

It felt like I was doing nothing all the time.

Speaker B

So a quick tip for this one is at the end of each week, take a moment to reflect on your small wins.

Speaker B

Recognize the process, recognize the progress, no matter how small.

Speaker B

And this might seem really cheesy and really corny at first, like it was for me, but now when I look back on my week, I'm like, whoa, I got a lot done this week.

Speaker B

And I do this for professional and personal life because I feel like sometimes my personal life, as it should, it gets way more of my attention.

Speaker B

And I look at my professional things that I got accomplished, and the list is so small compared to my personal life.

Speaker B

But then I look and I realize I spent a ton of time with friends, and I spent a lot of time with my husband, and I connected with someone I went to college with.

Speaker B

And those things are starting to matter a lot more to me than, like, my professional wins.

Speaker B

So celebrate your wins no matter how small.

Speaker B

And all of this is so great because it leads to sustainable success.

Speaker B

When you embrace quiet hustle, you're able to sustain your energy over the long term.

Speaker B

The loud hustle can lead to burnout and stress, and I know that firsthand because that's where I ended up.

Speaker B

But focusing on deep, intentional work keeps you balanced real growth happens in the quiet moments, the small, consistent actions that add up over time.

Speaker B

That's what separates temporary success from sustainable, meaningful success.

Speaker B

And I love all of this.

Speaker B

I love that this is such a topic on Instagram right now and threads if you're on there.

Speaker B

Because the Quiet Hustle is all about focus, focusing on what matters most and blocking out the distractions and working intentionally.

Speaker B

It's about real growth that doesn't need to be flaunted.

Speaker B

It just happens quietly and powerfully.

Speaker B

And the best thing about Quiet Hustle is you can start your Quiet Hustle at any time.

Speaker B

You can choose to focus on deep work, protect your time, and celebrate the small steps you take towards your big vision.

Speaker B

So this week I challenge you to take one step towards Quiet Hustle.

Speaker B

You don't have to do all the things all at once.

Speaker B

Do one thing this week that moves you towards Quiet Hustle, whether it is prioritizing a deep work session.

Speaker B

And like I said, make it small.

Speaker B

Make it 15 minutes.

Speaker B

If you can do one thing focused for 15 minutes, you're gonna be ahead of like 98% of people right now because there's so many people who can't sit down and do that.

Speaker B

So don't get down yourself if you can't do 30 to 45 minutes or if you struggle even with the 15.

Speaker B

Like you're at least trying.

Speaker B

And you are going to.

Speaker B

If you stay consistent with it, you're going to be light years ahead of other people.

Speaker B

But prioritize deep work.

Speaker B

Set boundaries with your time.

Speaker B

But whatever it is that you do this week, let me know what you're doing.

Speaker B

Share it with me on Instagram so that way I can show others in the community that it is possible that we are all starting in a really wherever we're starting at.

Speaker B

It might not be a perfect place, but we are starting and we are going to build slowly together and we are going to hustle quietly.
