Speaker A

Welcome to the Elevated Edit, the weekly reset for ambitious women who are done with chaos and ready to actually follow through.

Speaker A

I'm your host, Blakely Ramsey, strategist, systems girl and execution coach for entrepreneurs who want structure that sells in a business that feels like peace.

Speaker A

Here, we don't chase hustle.

Speaker A

We edit what matters.

Speaker A

Let's get into it.

Speaker A

Here is a harsh truth.

Speaker A

You are not going to be replaced by AI, but you may be replaced by someone who knows how to use it better than you.

Speaker A

In this episode, I'm giving you a full behind the scenes update on how I'm using AI in my business right now, both as a coach and as a real estate agent.

Speaker A

If you've been curious, intimidated, or overwhelmed by AI, this is your episode.

Speaker A

So I want to start off with a mindset shift around AI.

Speaker A

I think so many people right now are looking at AI as the enemy.

Speaker A

They're like, oh, well, I'm not going to use it because if I support it, it's going to take over jobs, People are going to lose income.

Speaker A

You know, that's been a big conversation I've been seeing on social media.

Speaker A

Well, with certain groups, certain groups are utilizing it, loving it.

Speaker A

Other groups are saying, well, this is going to replace me.

Speaker A

You know, we already have a economy crisis and now, you know, they're trying to replace us with artificial intelligence.

Speaker A

You know, all of the excuses that people love to come up with instead of actually just learning something.

Speaker A

Oh, she's spicy today.

Speaker A

Okay, but I want to shift your mindset.

Speaker A

If you are someone who is thinking along those lines, it's totally okay if you are, but I want you to just kind of be open to a different thought for just a second, that maybe AI isn't here to replace you, but it can multiply your output.

Speaker A

And for me personally, that is what I'm experiencing is it is definitely not replacing anything that I do, but it is amplifying every single bit of my output 100%.

Speaker A

I've had so many people recently say, I just don't understand how you're able to do everything that you're doing.

Speaker A

And it's because of AI for sure.

Speaker A

Here's an analogy for you.

Speaker A

If you just can't, you're just like, okay, I'm just not sure.

Speaker A

Like, I've tried AI.

Speaker A

It just seemed confusing.

Speaker A

It's not really working for me.

Speaker A

I'm not getting the same, you know, output that other people are getting with AI.

Speaker A

I want you to think of AI like a calculator.

Speaker A

Now, I keep a calculator on my desk all the time.

Speaker A

I'm not great at math.

Speaker A

I can do it, but it's much easier for me to use a calculator.

Speaker A

So, you know, if I'm, I'll calculate simple math all day, you know, 132 plus 36 or, you know, 2,000 minus 247.

Speaker A

I'll just throw that in my calculator.

Speaker A

Boom.

Speaker A

Check.

Speaker A

Great.

Speaker A

Someone else, an engineer, a mathematician, someone else that's super smart could take the same calculator and they're going to be able to put in these super advanced formulas and do all these really cool things with the same calculator that I'm not going to be able to do.

Speaker A

And so I want you to just think about that.

Speaker A

I want you to think about AI from that mindset of it's a tool and it's going to be as advanced and as advantageous as you use it.

Speaker A

And I do try to learn as much as I can about it just because I've seen, not only in my business, but in other, you know, entrepreneurs, business owners that I keep up with, they are heavily using AI to multiply their output.

Speaker A

And I will admit at first I was a little overwhelmed by it.

Speaker A

I was very intimidated.

Speaker A

I would try different prompts and it just felt very robotic.

Speaker A

And then I would try to set up funnels and flows and automation and just like even attempting to set anything up was so overwhelming.

Speaker A

But I have learned that there is a.

Speaker A

With any new AI platform that I've tried, at least this is my personal experience, there's been a huge learning curve.

Speaker A

Like the first couple weeks, I'm like, oh my goodness, this is hard, painfully hard.

Speaker A

Things have kind of fallen through the cracks.

Speaker A

Just hasn't gone super well.

Speaker A

But once it clicks and once I start using it properly, it, I mean, it just like unlocks a whole new level of my personal productivity and output and the quality of my business.

Speaker A

So, you know, customer service is better, My follow up is better.

Speaker A

It's just made my life much calmer since I've really sat through the river of misery with AI and allowed myself to feel uncomfortable and learn the platforms that, you know, maybe before I was like, oh, I'm hesitant to learn that because it's hard, it's uncomfortable, it's confusing.

Speaker A

I'm leaning into that hard and I'm leaning into that confusing.

Speaker A

And it's really paying off.

Speaker A

And I do think so many people right now are kind of like refusing to adapt and that's okay.

Speaker A

But I would just encourage you that if you are in that space, space where you're like, I don't need AI, I don't want to use it.

Speaker A

And I think another thing too along those lines is that people get so overwhelmed, they think they need to use all the platforms, like pick one and stick with it.

Speaker A

You know, I was chatgpt only for a long time now.

Speaker A

Obviously I've added other platforms on as well and it all integrates together.

Speaker A

But start with one and just get comfortable with it.

Speaker A

Like, don't go to it when you need something.

Speaker A

Play around with prompts, play around with questions, play around with different ways to communicate with it.

Speaker A

And if you practice when you are not in the middle of the game, it will help so much.

Speaker A

I mean, it's like, you know, playing a basketball game.

Speaker A

First time you like, shoot the ball is in the middle of a game, you know, you wouldn't do that.

Speaker A

You practice for months or years or however long, and then you show up to the game and you score the winning goal.

Speaker A

It's like great.

Speaker A

Think of AI like that.

Speaker A

Like just play around with it in a fun, relaxed time so that way you're not like so stressed and so tense.

Speaker A

Because I think so many people, especially when they go to set up like all these automations and zaps and funnels and all the crazy cool things that you can do, they try to do it when it's needed and necessary and it's, it's a learning curve.

Speaker A

It really is, at least for me.

Speaker A

Now here are some very specific ways that I am using AI right now.

Speaker A

So, so for my personal brand and my coaching side, I, I created a custom GPT assistant.

Speaker A

It's called Blakely Bot.

Speaker A

It actually takes chat GPT.

Speaker A

I did not know this, but it took chatGPT like a week to create it.

Speaker A

So I, I think it took me like two or three days to set up the like back end because they ask you all these questions and how do you want it to respond and you know, what is fun focus and all these different things.

Speaker A

And it took ChatGPT about a week to build it out for me and, but now that I have it, it's so fantastic.

Speaker A

It helps me think, it helps me write, it helps me plan.

Speaker A

And this Blakely Bot is so specific on my specific business goals that when I ask it something, it's not just giving me generic advice, it is giving me like real tangible advice that is actually moving the needle forward in my personal business.

Speaker A

So I would encourage you to play around with creating custom GPTs.

Speaker A

Some, some GPTs that aren't as like robust.

Speaker A

And I'll talk about one here in a little bit that I created.

Speaker A

Some of them don't take as long, but this particular one is basically the entire operating system for my business right now.

Speaker A

So it took a while but well worth it.

Speaker A

It's totally paid off.

Speaker A

I have been using AI to role play.

Speaker A

So I've mentioned that I'm in the salesgirls training program and there is, you know, a format of how we handle objections and you know, generate curiosity and all the things.

Speaker A

And I have been working with AI to role play objections, to work on sales scripts and all the things and it's been really nice.

Speaker A

Obviously it's not as helpful as just having a conversation with a real person because real people are not computers and they will throw you for a loop.

Speaker A

But it is like if you're kind of getting your feet wet and you're just curious about all of the objections that you could possibly get within your business and you want to be prepared for them, use AI for that.

Speaker A

You can use AI to help you create content ideas.

Speaker A

I mean there's so many different things you can do.

Speaker A

The one thing I'd encourage you to do is step outside of like, hey ChatGPT, rewrite this text message for me.

Speaker A

Hey ChatGPT, rewrite this email for me.

Speaker A

Like I would just encourage you to branch out a little bit if that is all you're using it for.

Speaker A

And then I also use it to brainstorm names for products and frames, works and, and curriculum.

Speaker A

And I'll be super honest, it usually takes about six or seven tries for it to start giving me good content.

Speaker A

Like at first it's like obviously chatgpt and then I'm like, hey, I actually want to appeal to this avatar and I want her to feel this emotion and I want her to take this action based on the name of this product.

Speaker A

So what do you suggest then?

Speaker A

And they're like, okay, I'll revise, blah blah blah.

Speaker A

And then like I said six or seven times until I get like a, a good okay, we could possibly use this.

Speaker A

On my real estate side, I have been using it for listing system automations, email workflows, seller updates, loom scripts, drafting social media captions, pre listing packet content, and then using AI to refine negotiation responses.

Speaker A

I also built a custom GPT and this one didn't take long at all.

Speaker A

Like it was ready almost immediately for staging my listings and so I can send that to my clients and if they have a question about staging and it's like over the weekend or, you know, I'm unavailable for some reason, they can ask.

Speaker A

That custom GPT, it has been coded with my responses for specific rooms, for exterior, for landscaping, to.

Speaker A

It's been coded to respond how I would respond.

Speaker A

And I've also done it with different price points too.

Speaker A

So if someone, you know, has a very low budget for what they can use to remodel, say they have a thousand dollars, you know, to prep the house for the market, or if they have $5,000 or if they have $10,000.

Speaker A

So that's been really nice to just be able to customize everything and have it pay attention to my specific customer's wants and needs.

Speaker A

And you can use this like, whatever kind of business that you've got, maybe just sit down and brainstorm, like, what are some GPTs that I could create?

Speaker A

Like, could I create a GPT for my employees?

Speaker A

Could I create it for my customers?

Speaker A

Could it be a lead magnet?

Speaker A

Could it be part of our, you know, workflow?

Speaker A

Just think of different ways, think outside of the box.

Speaker A

That's one of the cool things to me with AI is there's unlimited capabilities with it and there's just, there's so many options and it is so custom to you that like, the way you use AI is going to be completely different than I am, but that there's no right or wrong way to use it.

Speaker A

Most of the successful people that I know that are utilizing it, we all use it different ways.

Speaker A

And I just, I think it's opening so many doors and it's just opening up such high levels of creativity now.

Speaker A

There's definitely downsides.

Speaker A

I think a lot of people are being validated and they shouldn't be.

Speaker A

And the reason why I say they shouldn't be is because I think a lot of people get on ChatGPT, they want to start a business or they want to do something cool, like they want to, you know, bunt something, whatever it is, they get in chat GPT, they start talking to it.

Speaker A

And chat GPT is like, wow, you're revolutionary.

Speaker A

Nobody's ever thought of this before on the whole face of the earth.

Speaker A

You're so self aware.

Speaker A

That's amazing.

Speaker A

You're groundbreaking.

Speaker A

This is going to change the world.

Speaker A

And so the individual gets so excited.

Speaker A

They're like, oh my gosh, like, this is it.

Speaker A

This is going to be the best post.

Speaker A

This is going to be the best business.

Speaker A

This is going to be the best thing I've ever done.

Speaker A

I'm so excited.

Speaker A

They like pour all this energy into it and then they put it out into the world and there's crickets and it's like people are becoming even more sensitive to criticism because they're sitting around on ChatGPT all the time getting told they're perfect.

Speaker A

That's great.

Speaker A

That's wonderful.

Speaker A

That's so cool.

Speaker A

I literally put in ChatGPT the other day.

Speaker A

I said, hey ChatGPT, I think the sky is blue.

Speaker A

And ChatGPT was like, that is such a good observation.

Speaker A

And I was like, oh my goodness, this is a problem now.

Speaker A

My favorite AI tools currently, this could change next week.

Speaker A

They are coming out with, I would say like hundreds a week at this point.

Speaker A

I mean, AI is really advancing very quickly.

Speaker A

Custom GPTs, number one in OpenAI.

Speaker A

So chat GPT is a GPT, but you can create any kind of GPT that you want, I'm sure within reason, but there's hundreds already coded in there and you can code whatever you want.

Speaker A

Notion AI.

Speaker A

So within notion they have an AI bot and you can use it for research and summarizing long documents, organizing.

Speaker A

I use it for all the things.

Speaker A

Opus Clip, you can use it for repurposing long form video into social clips.

Speaker A

I don't use this quite as much because to be totally transparent, I have been dropping the ball on long form content because YouTube's a beast.

Speaker A

It's really hard.

Speaker A

It's not hard itself, but that is going to be one of the things that I'm going to eventually have to hire out because I just do not have the capacity to edit long form content the way that I want it to be edited right now.

Speaker A

So that's something that's on the list.

Speaker A

But Opus Clip is great.

Speaker A

I have used it and then I know a lot of really big podcasters that are using Opus Clip to repurpose their long form video.

Speaker A

If I was wanting to be a content creator or an influencer, I would definitely lean into it more.

Speaker A

For me right now I am using content to build credibility for myself and so I'm less concerned with like going viral than I am building trust.

Speaker A

So, you know, use it how you want to and then Zoho Begin plus the AI assistant for the CRM.

Speaker A

So the Begin is the CRM and you know, a customer relationship manager and I have hooked it up to Zapier or Zapier, however you say it.

Speaker A

I don't know, I mispronounce everything all the time.

Speaker A

But.

Speaker A

But it's really cool because you can set up zaps within it.

Speaker A

Since there's zaps, I would Think it was zapier.

Speaker A

But say you have a lead magnet and in order for them to download the lead magnet, they have to submit their email address.

Speaker A

As soon as they submit their email address, a zap can be sent to your Gmail and the Gmail can send them a custom onboarding email.

Speaker A

But then the really cool thing is from there, once the Gmail is sent, that sets off another zap that takes to the CRM and it adds them to their correct portion based on the link from where they set up their email address.

Speaker A

And it sets off a workflow for you and then it sends you a reminder of hey, you either need to follow up with this person or you need to confirm their appointment or whatever is next.

Speaker A

And so just having all these automations and all these flows of like I'm not having to go in, people aren't having to wait for me, they're automatically getting taken care of and then I know exactly what I need to do next to serve them is so beneficial for business.

Speaker A

I would think really any kind of business would be able to benefit from that.

Speaker A

Now these are the places that I don't use, use AI and I'm not saying that it's wrong if you do by any stretch of the imagination, but for me personally these are places that I have seen AI really drop the ball and I think some people are trying to automate too much and I think certain like business processes like structures and systems and all the things is AI is great there.

Speaker A

But if you have any kind of communication with a customer in terms of something that needs to be custom, something that needs to be like a real conversation, like you need to reach out to them.

Speaker A

And for me, AI frees up my time to have the human connection.

Speaker A

I was talking to some friends because they, they are way more into AI than I am.

Speaker A

They actually have a clone, an AI clone of themselves.

Speaker A

So I mean on video you really can barely tell that it is AI and it will actually talk to customers for them.

Speaker A

And I, I do think it's cool.

Speaker A

I'm not totally against it, but for me personally I think there's just so much psychology behind human connection.

Speaker A

And I also, you know, if you believe in a higher power.

Speaker A

I do.

Speaker A

I think that humans connect soul to soul.

Speaker A

And I just think at the end of the day, no matter how advanced AI can get, we're never going to be able to have that.

Speaker A

And it's not anything you can buy, it's not anything you can create.

Speaker A

There's no way for them to code our soul And I think automating so much and taking out the human side of things does end up hurting businesses at some point.

Speaker A

Like if.

Speaker A

If it's been, you know, however many hours, like we'll say 72 hours.

Speaker A

And I've only heard from a robot, I'm starting to get a little bit of an ick.

Speaker A

That's why even in my automations, like, I've got a video of me talking and it's not, you know, super, like, fancy, you know, you can tell, like, I'm just sitting in my office talking to the camera.

Speaker A

And to me, that human connection is.

Speaker A

Is so powerful because I've spoken to a lot of friends who, you know, were told by these.

Speaker A

Because these companies, these AI companies are pitching like crazy.

Speaker A

They're like, oh, you need to clone your voice and you need to use your voice from the clone, all the things.

Speaker A

And they saw, you know, sales kind of drop when they started using only their AI clone.

Speaker A

Instead of, you know, kind of mixing the two.

Speaker A

They said now, like, now we're trying to incorporate more and just use our clone as filler.

Speaker A

Which I'm totally fine with that.

Speaker A

I think that's totally fine.

Speaker A

But I do think there is a line.

Speaker A

So this is where I don't use AI.

Speaker A

I did not use AI to talk as me.

Speaker A

So any dms, anything that uses my voice, anything where I have to respond bond and it comes from Blakely is not AI.

Speaker A

I just, to me, I think the human.

Speaker A

I think AI is complex, but I think the human being is so much more complex.

Speaker A

And I can hear someone's tone if they're excited, if they're worried, if they're frustrated, if they are, you know, if they're.

Speaker A

If there's something they're not telling me, if they're annoyed.

Speaker A

There's just so many nuances to the human voice and human psychology and the way people carry themselves and their tone.

Speaker A

I don't want AI to be out guessing or overlook things.

Speaker A

Like, I have worked too hard to be able to pick up on those subtle things.

Speaker A

And so I want to be fully in control of that.

Speaker A

I don't rely on AI to coach my clients or work my clients through any issues or problems.

Speaker A

So for me, and maybe I'm wrong, maybe this will happen at some point, but I think that human to human strategy is irreplaceable.

Speaker A

You know, I just talked about this, but I really do think that that human connection is never going to be able to be replaced.

Speaker A

In fact, I did a speech about this a couple weeks ago.

Speaker A

Well, it wasn't about this, but it was brought up that I think over the next couple of years, being able to connect to a human being is going to become such a value and such a skill set because of AI.

Speaker A

So, you know, a couple years ago, if you were organized, if you were going to email, if you were all the things you were going to be successful, like you could check things off a list, you were, you know, action oriented, a lot of those things are going to be replaced.

Speaker A

But if you can set down, and this is why a regulated nervous system is so important, but if you can sit down and truly be present and talk, to look a human being in the eyes and talk to them, that is going to become so valuable.

Speaker A

It already is.

Speaker A

It's been valuable forever.

Speaker A

But the fact that so much of our like extra fluffy stuff is going to be automated, that is going to become so important.

Speaker A

And the businesses that lean into that human touch, they're going to be the ones that stand out.

Speaker A

And then I don't use AI to write my content, to write my podcast episodes, to write my sales pages.

Speaker A

It is always a co creator, not the boss.

Speaker A

So I definitely use it.

Speaker A

Like I will give AI the outline that I wrote and say, hey, can you organize this?

Speaker A

Because I'll have notes everywhere.

Speaker A

Like I, I'll just have stuff everywhere.

Speaker A

It'll be.

Speaker A

If I, if I followed my own outline that I created, y' all would be like, what the heck is she talking about?

Speaker A

Because the ideas just come to me so quickly.

Speaker A

So I use AI to organize my thoughts.

Speaker A

Same with the sales page or any kind of content that I'm creating.

Speaker A

Because if you just tell AI, hey, can you write this caption for me?

Speaker A

And just going to write you some random, like super simple off the, like, just random caption.

Speaker A

But if you say, hey chatgpt, I need to connect with this person emotionally, so I need to speak to their limbic brain.

Speaker A

I need a hook that is going to capture their attention in the first two seconds of reading it.

Speaker A

I want to take them on a customer journey and I want to, you know, build the, build a new belief in them, whatever they're doubting, maybe with my product or within themselves.

Speaker A

Like I want to get them over the belief bridge.

Speaker A

AI is going to give you a really good caption if you give it those kinds of prompts.

Speaker A

And so I really do not use it to give me the final product.

Speaker A

I just use it to organize my thoughts and then pull from there.

Speaker A

Because I'll be super honest.

Speaker A

Like I'll just Be like scribbling stuff, making random stuff and then I'll give it to AI and it will organize it in a way that I wouldn't have thought of.

Speaker A

And then when it organizes it I'm like, oh, I can take that.

Speaker A

And then I can make it sound like this and this and this and this and this.

Speaker A

And I think as a co creator, like if you think of it from that perspective, it's just, at least for me is so helpful.

Speaker A

Okay, if you are just starting out with AI, I want to give you some ways that you can use AI right now.

Speaker A

Okay?

Speaker A

These are easy five minute tasks.

Speaker A

You can offload, use it to summarize notes or meeting recaps, use it to draft your emails or your DM responses.

Speaker A

I would advise you to put your own spin on them, but do what you need to do.

Speaker A

If it is just a generic email response and you are not trying to build a customer relationship, then you send it away.

Speaker A

For me, every touch point is trying to build trust in a customer relationship.

Speaker A

So I always try to put my blakely spin on it.

Speaker A

But you can use it to draft emails, DM responses, anything that can help ease your workflow.

Speaker A

And, and then you can use it to create hooks for your next three reels so you can say hey ChatGPT, this is the avatar that I'm trying to speak to.

Speaker A

Can you give me, you know, 10 hooks to try out that they might really like?

Speaker A

And these can be text overlay or caption hooks or you know, whatever the case is, you, you can specify what you need.

Speaker A

And so I don't, I want to just like shift your mindset from.

Speaker A

Well, I have to get good at AI before I can use it.

Speaker A

I have to get good at it before I can really use it to its full advantage.

Speaker A

Just start messy.

Speaker A

Because it really is a tool.

Speaker A

It's a tool that can grow with you and grow for you.

Speaker A

And like I said, your AI experience is going to be different than mine.

Speaker A

And that's not saying that either one is any better.

Speaker A

But just practice it, just use it to your advantage.

Speaker A

And then I will say too, I have, I'm not using AI less.

Speaker A

Look, I talked about AI for the last 30 minutes, how I'm using AI for everything.

Speaker A

I'm not using it less, but I'm trying to spend less time in it.

Speaker A

So I found myself setting up all these automations so all this automation is happening in the background.

Speaker A

And then instead of using the time that I got back to connect with more people, I just kept setting AI systems Up.

Speaker A

And I was like, okay, girl, you're defeating the purpose.

Speaker A

So now I will set aside like a couple hours a week for the whole week, and I'll go in and just check and make sure all my flows are still working.

Speaker A

Everything's working.

Speaker A

And then, of course, chatgpt, you know, I'll use it a couple times a day to help organize things or for research if I need something.

Speaker A

Research.

Speaker A

But I really have been trying to limit the time that I spend, like, brainstorming and creating with AI, because I can set.

Speaker A

I could waste a whole entire day just going back and forth with AI, giving me more ideas, more ideas, more ideas.

Speaker A

Here's an idea, and it's like, okay, go execute on something.

Speaker A

Like, that was the pit that I was falling in for a hot minute is I was coming up with all these cool ideas.

Speaker A

I was like, oh, this is so exciting.

Speaker A

Like, I'm so excited about all this.

Speaker A

And then I wasn't executing anything.

Speaker A

And so for Q3, I have started planning.

Speaker A

But this upcoming weekend, y' all, I am officially an influencer.

Speaker A

I was asked by an Airbnb company to.

Speaker A

They are sending me up there for free and they're paying me and I'm going to create content for them.

Speaker A

And I just think I'm so cool.

Speaker A

No, seriously, I have, like, dreamed about this for so long because I would like to do, like, a little bit of content creation on the side.

Speaker A

And it's just so funny that now, when I'm so busy and I haven't thought twice about it, that now they reach out to me.

Speaker A

I'm like, where were y' all a couple of years ago?

Speaker A

And I was trying to do this for a living, but anyway, neither here nor there.

Speaker A

I'm going to spend the time at the Airbnb and I'm going to do, like, a full Q3 planning session.

Speaker A

And just a heads up, because it will affect my content.

Speaker A

Just so you'll know what kind of mindset I'm going into Q3 with.

Speaker A

I feel like Q1 was confusion and Q2 was anxiety in terms of like, okay, I have created a tornado, a good tornado, but I need to rein it all in.

Speaker A

Like, I need to get all these ideas and I need to get everything kind of like in one focus.

Speaker A

And I'm focused Now.

Speaker A

And so Q3 is going to be all about amplifying and refining.

Speaker A

So I am trying to limit my social media, focus on being present, focus on my mindset.

Speaker A

I've got a lot of travel coming up in Q3, and if everything goes according to plan.

Speaker A

I've got a lot of really big stuff coming up in Q3.

Speaker A

Really exciting, but if I don't buckle down, it could all be wasted opportunity, and I don't want that.

Speaker A

So I'm really dialing it in over this next quarter, and I hope that I'm able to give you an update in October.

Speaker A

And I'm like, y' all, that was a wild ride.

Speaker A

Because from this side of it, it looks like it's going to be a really fun, wild ride.

Speaker A

I've got a lot of business travel.

Speaker A
