So, Kev, here we are. Season six.
Audio 2summary episodeintro season 6:6. It's exciting. We've got a lot of things planned for this season, so this is going to be really good.
Audio 1summary episodeintro season 6:Hopefully everyone's driving is going well.
Audio 2summary episodeintro season 6:Yes, hopefully Season 5 helped you. I know it's helped a lot of others because of the feedback we've been getting.
Audio 1summary episodeintro season 6:Yep, and so with Season 6, the aim is we're going to carry on still looking at these causes of mystery driving anxiety, as well as trying to put in some useful tips, hints, and respond to your feedback of the things that you're asking for help with.
Audio 2summary episodeintro season 6:Yes, definitely. So who have we got coming up
Audio 1summary episodeintro season 6:yep, so recorded already is next episode, and that's with Alison Blackclough from Two Minds, and we had a great conversation with Alison, didn't we? We were talking about anxiety, mystery driving anxiety again, we ended up talking about whether people feel that they inherit they're driving style or they're driving traits from someone in their family. So that was really interesting.
Audio 2summary episodeintro season 6:Yeah, and that's going to be interesting. I think people are going to resonate a lot with that.
Audio 1summary episodeintro season 6:Yeah, it is something that we hear. And then the other thing that she talks about is thinking in a way that doesn't confuse your brain. So that sounds helpful.
Audio 2summary episodeintro season 6:It is and I'm, yeah, definitely.
Audio 1summary episodeintro season 6:So look out, you don't have long to wait for that episode. That episode is next week and that one's already recorded in the bag and scheduled for next week. So we hope you enjoy that one. Now we're also going to have on another expert guest, this time looking at the links between nutrition and anxiety.
Audio 2summary episodeintro season 6:Yes, and we, I know what I eat affects the way I feel, so that should be interesting. But how does that affect the way we drive?
Audio 1summary episodeintro season 6:Yeah, I think that's gonna be really interesting. We haven't recorded that one yet, so we don't wanna mention who it is 'cause we want to get that one recorded before putting it out there.
Audio 2summary episodeintro season 6:But it'd be good.
Audio 1summary episodeintro season 6:it should be good. It should be good. The things that you do eat and the things that you don't eat, and that includes drinking and everything else. So yeah, I'm looking forward to that conversation. Now, as this episode goes out, I'm slap bang in the middle of a training course, quite an intensive training course, all about neurodiversity. So we're going to follow up that training course with an episode with Chesi Kennedy, one of our trainers, so that we can talk about Neurodiversity in driving, how it might affect people who are learning to drive, how it might affect anxiety as well.
Audio 2summary episodeintro season 6:Yes, and I think that's a lot of things in neurodiversity that people don't understand properly. So I think this is going to be quite eye opening for people sometimes, and go, That's me!
Audio 1summary episodeintro season 6:Yeah, and I'm really looking forward to finishing the course and then really applying what I've learned into a driving
Audio 2summary episodeintro season 6:Context. Context, yes.
Audio 1summary episodeintro season 6:absolutely. And so I'm really hoping that's going to be helpful for us and also for other people who listen into the podcast or that we work with. Now over the summer, we were busy recording some SatNav stories from people.
Audio 2summary episodeintro season 6:Yes, and I think this one's going to be quite, a bit different to what we normally do, so it's going to be a bit funny, isn't
Audio 1summary episodeintro season 6:Yes, I think that was a little bit light hearted, and in the same way that everybody's got a driving story, there's quite a few people out there with sat nav stories as well. So, I think that our thoughts behind this one were that things can go wrong. for anybody. It's not just about the type of driver that you are. And where sat navs are involved, who knows what might happen.
Audio 2summary episodeintro season 6:No, and we know some of the stories, don't we? So we know people are going to go, Really? Yeah.
Audio 1summary episodeintro season 6:some of these things can happen to Everybody, and it's just a normal part of life, and they make a great story once you've got to the other side of it. Now hopefully, we're going to get at least one or two more real life stories in this season.
Audio 2summary episodeintro season 6:this season. I'm hoping so. I mean, some of the people we're coaching at the moment have agreed to come on as well, haven't they? So, I'm hoping that will fit in with this season. Yeah,
Audio 1summary episodeintro season 6:as well, haven't they? a couple of people in mind. In theory, they've said yes, but they've... feel that they want to get to a particular point in their driving before they come on and talk about it. They want to be a real success story. Now we think they're already successes. There's, there's no doubt about it in our minds,
Audio 2summary episodeintro season 6:But it's up to them, isn't it? It's up to
Audio 1summary episodeintro season 6:we'll keep you up to date, but fingers crossed. We're going to have a couple of real life stories on for
Audio 2summary episodeintro season 6:And they are really good. Yeah. Definitely.
Audio 1summary episodeintro season 6:Yeah. Now, Kev, one of the other things that we wanted to do an episode on, and we haven't recorded this one yet, is to do with our interview with Vanessa on Talk TV.
Audio 2summary episodeintro season 6:Don't remind me! So we want
Audio 1summary episodeintro season 6:So we want to talk about, one, what it was like being asked to do that TV piece live with Vanessa and to talk about how it made you feel because she gave you a bit of a rough ride, didn't
Audio 2summary episodeintro season 6:Uh, just a bit.
Audio 1summary episodeintro season 6:Yeah, we'll talk about that in that episode. But also we want to talk about the report that the TV piece was on because it really was a bit of a made up report. And when you look into it, when you look into the details, it's not quite. How they made it out to be. So we wanted to talk a little bit about that.
Audio 2summary episodeintro season 6:Yeah, and we didn't really get a chance to say that. No. So, we thought this is an ideal opportunity for us to get, our side of the story across. Yeah,
Audio 1summary episodeintro season 6:for us to get, um, our side of the story across. Domestic, I think.
Audio 2summary episodeintro season 6:Yeah, I think so.
Audio 1summary episodeintro season 6:So we'll talk more about that on that episode. And then, of course, we'll add in any other useful bits and pieces, questions and things that come along as we go in.
Audio 2summary episodeintro season 6:Yeah, and I think that's the beauty of this, isn't it? You know, we can put things in, as well as take things out if we needed to. So I think this is going to be quite an exciting, series. I'm looking forward to doing it. And hopefully it's going to be a little bit different as well.
Audio 1summary episodeintro season 6:it's Yeah, fingers crossed. We've always got a great big long list of all sorts of things that we can talk about on podcasts. So, it just is often what takes our fancy when we're here in the studio, isn't it?
Audio 2summary episodeintro season 6:isn't it? Yeah, and I think I'm going to take this opportunity. If people want to hear about something that has not been covered yet, and they feel would benefit themselves and also others, let us know.
Audio 1summary episodeintro season 6:Yeah, definitely. All of our contact details are in the show notes, but you can also leave us a SpeakPipe message as well. So, there's links to SpeakPipe where you can leave a little recorded message and then we can play that and answer it in a podcast episode. So, that's you to be on our podcast. Great. So, we hope you enjoy this season as much as we'll enjoy recording it. And as always, If you know anybody who's a nervous or an anxious driver, don't forget to share this podcast with them. Let them know about it so that they can benefit from all the different topics as well. And we always love a nice little five star review on your favourite podcast player because that really helps us to move up the charts and for more people to find us.
Audio 2summary episodeintro season 6:and that's why we do it isn't it, is to help others.
Audio 1summary episodeintro season 6:to help others. Definitely. Great. So, we look forward to dropping into your playlists every week over the next 12 weeks. And so, until next time, all that leaves me to say is have a great day, whatever you're doing.
