[00:00:00] Nathan Maingard: Welcome back to the We Are Already Free Podcast, where misfits from the mainstream who are awakening to the madness of our current societal situation come to experience, inspiration, and to learn how to stop focusing on what we can't change and what is wrong and what isn't working, and instead turn our energy, direction, attention and intention towards the world that we want to live in. The world. The world that we want to build together.
[00:00:30] Speaker: When you hear the words, we are already free. What comes up for you? Acceptance. Change. To shift in awareness. Human beings are so powerful. EvErything is love behind it.
[00:00:41] Breaking the chains of your own minds. That which remains.
[00:00:44] Speaker 3: Nature. Getting outta the matrix.
[00:00:46] Speaker: We're sitting on the treasure and
[00:00:47] Speaker 4: it's already unlocked.
[00:00:48] Speaker 5: You are a walking map. Have always been free. You are always free. Already free. We are already free.
[00:00:55] Nathan Maingard: Welcome to this very short, solo episode. I have had a very wild few weeks and haven't yet edited the next episode that I have with an incredible guest, all about somatic, transformative, transformational work. It's fricking awesome. I've got some great episodes lined up.
[00:01:11] But in this moment, I've been driving all day, I've injured my finger, it's been all the wonderful things. And yet somehow in amongst it all have stayed joyful, have stayed smiling, and the big return that I've been experiencing is that my life's work, the purpose that I'm here for is to inspire in, in. I nearly said to inspire inspiration... to inspire authenticity.
[00:01:32] And I've struggled with that for a while because I wasn't sure what it meant. And so I wanna offer this free flow thought process to you who is listening or watching. And to say that authenticity is one of two primary human needs we come into this life with. One of those being safety, being cared for, of course, by our caregivers. And then by life.
[00:01:54] And the other being authenticity, getting to experience and know and express who we really are. But if you are listening to this right now, I have a question for you. How authentic do you feel? How much of your true self do you get to share with the people around you? With your relationships? In your work? In the way you show up in the world?
[00:02:13] I imagine that it's probably not as much as you'd like it to be, and that is okay. That is normal. That is what our society has done to us. What our education, our food systems, our governmental systems, et cetera. They have convinced us that our true selves, our authentic selves, are the very things that we should hide from the world because it's not safe out there.
[00:02:34] So. This is a, just a simple support to say that it's okay that you feel that way and that there is a way to change. Transformation is possible.
[00:02:44] It broke my heart when I saw that one of the top regrets of the dying, which came from someone who worked in an end of life care in a hospice. And spoke with many, many, many people. I think around a thousand people.
[00:02:56] And the top regret was, I wish I'd been more true to myself. I wish I'd had the courage to be more true to myself. So please don't wait. Don't wait for that. So here's a question for you. If you check in, maybe take a breath or two or three.
[00:03:15] Just feel into where you are right now. Maybe you're driving, maybe you're doing the dishes, whatever it is that you're doing. Feel into who you are and where you are right now, and ask yourself this question inside of yourself. What is one thing that I would like to do more of or experience more of that I know represents more of the authenticity, more of my true self, more of who I really am in the world?
[00:03:41] What is one thing that I would like to embody more of, experience more of, take action on that is aligned with my true, authentic self? And then go do that thing. Maybe it's just. Maybe it's a tiny thing, maybe it's a huge thing. But every huge thing is made up of tiny things. Every trip up Everest is made up of single steps.
[00:04:00] So just take a single step. I'm gonna leave it there. This is me honoring my purpose. I love this podcast so much, dear human. And if you're listening, then you are one of the people who makes it possible. So thank you for being here.
[00:04:12] And it's hard. It's really, really hard. It takes so many hours a week. It takes the organization of the guests and the editing and the show notes and all these things. And I care so much, and I'm always trying to craft a title that's gonna get the attention of the right people so that you listen and enjoy as much as I do. All that stuff takes a huge amount of time.
[00:04:29] And today I could just leave it because it's late and I've been driving all day and I'm tired. But I want to be here with you and I wanna share this with you because I honor this purpose, this joy, this authenticity of mine that I'm here to share with you and the world.
[00:04:43] And, and if you're struggling, if that, those questions I've asked you bring up difficult feelings for you. "I don't know who I'm, I don't know what my purpose is. I dunno what I wanna do. I dunno who I authentically am in the world."
[00:04:53] Please reach out. This is the work that I do. This is what my transformational guidance is about. I've walked this path through the depths of depression and burnout and wanting to really end it all.
[00:05:03] To this space of, yes, of course, it's still challenging and I make mistakes and I fall again and again. But I have such a different connection to it all, and I so appreciate the opportunity to be here in this body, in this life sharing with you in this moment.
[00:05:16] So I. I'll leave it there.
