Travel could be limited to emergencies in the warned zones across the Great Lakes and Appalachians.

Lake effect snow and dangerous wind chills continue in spots.

Localized winter weather advisories remain up from Michigan into Pennsylvania and West Virginia.

WPC notes very low flash flood probabilities through Saturday, but mariners from the Pacific Northwest to New England face small craft and gale hazards overnight.
