Speaker AThis is Close it now, where excellence meets excitement.
Speaker ALet's get to work now, your host, Sam Wakefield.
Speaker BOkay, I've got a question for you.
Speaker BHave you ever had people praise you for being great at something even though deep down you know you weren't really trying?
Speaker BYou were coasting.
Speaker BCoasting on talent, coasting on charm, coasting on just enough?
Speaker BWhat if I told you that being naturally good was the most dangerous thing that ever happened to you?
Speaker BThis is the 80% life and it's time to wake up.
Speaker BSo today we're going to talk about the 80% life.
Speaker BWhat happens when good is the enemy of great?
Speaker BSo stick around.
Speaker BThis is going to be a great episode.
Speaker BThis is part two of the Energy and Identity series.
Speaker BSo before we get to that, I would like to highlight a review that came in.
Speaker BThere's a bunch of reviews so I'm going to be getting to them systematically.
Speaker BBut right now let's have a review from Andrew Randall.
Speaker BThis came in about a week ago on Google.
Speaker BGo, leave me a review on Google.
Speaker BThis is a five star review.
Speaker BIt says so Andrew Randall says I am a home comfort advisor in Nova Scotia, Canada.
Speaker BThank you to our friends in the Great White North.
Speaker BI grateful for every one of you and no, I do not want to take over your country and make it look the 51st state, so.
Speaker BBut thank you for everybody that listens in Canada.
Speaker BI love when I get to travel to Canada.
Speaker BSo if you're a business owner up there, have me come up and do some training.
Speaker BI.
Speaker BThis would be a blast, don't you know?
Speaker BAnd so we can, yeah, we can definitely get your team to the next level, eh?
Speaker BSo says I'm a home comfort advisor in Nova Scotia, Canada.
Speaker BAs this material has and, and this material has transformed my in home engagement with my customers.
Speaker BI was closing above injury, above industry average.
Speaker BBut with this podcast I have seen my closing rate increase another 15%.
Speaker BHeck yeah, Andrew.
Speaker BThat's awesome.
Speaker BIt is helping me close on the spot and reduce my need for follow ups.
Speaker BCarry on the conversation.
Speaker BThe Energy series was so amazing.
Speaker BTotally challenged how I approached conversation in the home.
Speaker BThis is awesome.
Speaker BYou're one of the first people that's talked about the Energy series, so I really appreciate this feedback.
Speaker BSo back to the review.
Speaker BIt says I've listened to almost all of the podcasts available.
Speaker BThe podcasts are full of transferable content.
Speaker BI've taken many sales training courses.
Speaker BHe's got training in quotes and this is by far the best.
Speaker BThanks for putting together some great material.
Speaker BI really like how focused it is on the H Vac industry.
Speaker BYes sir.
Speaker BThat is my heart and soul, man.
Speaker BIt's where I came from.
Speaker BAnd while the information and content is definitely applicable to any home service, you're right.
Speaker BMy heart and soul is in the H Vac industry.
Speaker BSo thank you, Andrew.
Speaker BWe are chatting, but if you hear this episode and you mention it, in fact we've been texting back and forth a little bit.
Speaker BThis reminds me, need to get back to you in text.
Speaker BQuick side note for everybody, if you've reached out to me and I haven't gotten back to you or it's been delayed or delayed response, I will get back to you.
Speaker BI get a lot of messages, so I promise every single one is important.
Speaker BEvery single one of you is important.
Speaker BI am in no way intentionally forgetting to, you know, not getting back to you.
Speaker BLife is busy and sometimes if you knew all the things that I'm doing, I can only list half of them in the, in the shows.
Speaker BSo.
Speaker BBut thank you, Andrew.
Speaker BIf you hear this in our conversations, let me know and we'll do a free, free coaching session.
Speaker BSo we'll get you rocking even more.
Speaker BBut yeah, I'm stoked, man.
Speaker BLet's get you, let's get you onboarded.
Speaker BBut I love that you had a 15 listen.
Speaker BDid you hear that everybody?
Speaker BA 15% increase in close rate strictly from listening to the podcast.
Speaker BWhich is sick action.
Speaker BWhich also means imagine how much better it would be if we coached together.
Speaker BFor all of you listening out there, if you've seen some cool results from that.
Speaker BYes.
Speaker BAnd I mentioned this last episode.
Speaker BI have three spots left on my coaching calendar and when they are gone, they're gone.
Speaker BBecause this will be probably the last grouping of one on one coaching clients that I'm taking on for a while now.
Speaker BQuick secret, I don't know exactly when, but I do plan on launching a mastermind which will be More of a group session, which is cool because there's lots of benefits to that as well.
Speaker BSo we'll be talking about that a lot more in the future.
Speaker BSo let's get back into this episode.
Speaker BI've got my what's in your cup?
Speaker BWe'll blast through this super quick because I really want to get to this content.
Speaker BThis is my Steez organic green tea peach.
Speaker BAnd so, everybody, what's in your cup?
Speaker BAre you staying healthy?
Speaker BAre you making healthy choices?
Speaker BI challenge you.
Speaker BIf you continue to pour trash down your gullet, if you continue to pour chemicals down into your body through your drinks, I challenge you to take one small step today to make a healthier choice, because you will feel the difference.
Speaker BIt might not be today, it might not be tomorrow.
Speaker BIt might not be next week or next month, but you will feel the difference.
Speaker BAnd I can guarantee it will be worth it for you.
Speaker BSo, three, two, one.
Speaker BCheers.
Speaker BLet's toast this episode together and get going.
Speaker BOkay, so this is a follow up to Last the last episode on perfectionism and the myth of readiness.
Speaker BBut today, we're talking to a different kind of listener.
Speaker BIf that was not you, not the one who's waiting to begin, but the one who already started and somewhere along the way stopped giving everything, you stopped giving it your all.
Speaker BThis is for the talented ones, the top 10 percenters who never had to push past 80% to get applause.
Speaker BIf that's you, it's time to get real freaking honest, because we're gonna have a good conversation here, and it's time to ask, what would your life look like at 100%?
Speaker BSo let's keep it 100 today.
Speaker BSo there is something called the illusion of excellence.
Speaker BSo being good at something doesn't mean you're giving it your best.
Speaker BAnd the scariest part, no one can tell but you.
Speaker BAnd this.
Speaker BI'm getting in my feels on this one because this one hits so close to home for me, because I've lived this life.
Speaker BThis is one of those ask me how I know moments going through.
Speaker BWhen you go through all of my podcasts and you go through my training, there's not a single thing that I trained that I didn't live or experience or make the mistake of.
Speaker BThat's why the authenticity comes out, because I'm truly just speaking my transparent life.
Speaker BSo getting into this, when life comes, when life comes easy grades, charisma, early success, you start believing you're doing enough by default.
Speaker BBut the thing is, that ease becomes your ceiling.
Speaker BYou condition yourself to stop there.
Speaker BYou Start optimizing for praise, not progress.
Speaker BAnd when nothing demands your best, you stop offering it.
Speaker BI might cry in this episode, y' all, this is.
Speaker BI wrote these notes, but now that I'm speaking them out loud.
Speaker BHoly freaking crap.
Speaker BWhen.
Speaker BWhen nothing demands your best, you stop offering it.
Speaker BThis is how high performers underperform, and you don't even freaking realize it.
Speaker BYou think you're high capacity, but you're high complacency.
Speaker BYou don't need it.
Speaker BHere's the thing.
Speaker BYou don't need accountability.
Speaker BYou need to remember who the hell you are.
Speaker BAnd that's.
Speaker BThat's just straight up truth.
Speaker BI'm here to smack you in the face with truth today.
Speaker BSo the first thing we need to do, if you find.
Speaker BIf this is resonating with you and you know exactly what I'm talking about, you've got to audit your life.
Speaker BYou have to audit.
Speaker BWhere are you getting A plus praise for B plus effort?
Speaker BWhere are you coasting on past versions of yourself?
Speaker BSo, again, this is a theory.
Speaker BThis is my life, man.
Speaker BThis is 100% me.
Speaker BSo, again, I've always been good at things.
Speaker BYou know, I was always good at music.
Speaker BI started playing guitar at 13, and by, you know, 14, I was the guitar player in my youth group band.
Speaker BYou know, get.
Speaker BAt 18, 19, I'm in bands playing all over the.
Speaker BYou know, all over the area where I was at.
Speaker BAnd it was just good, you know, speaking leadership.
Speaker BIt comes naturally to me and.
Speaker BAnd theater and all of these things.
Speaker BSo, you know, I could give 80% and it would be.
Speaker BIt was enough.
Speaker BI got jobs, I got applause, I got results.
Speaker BExcept for, you know, I realized along the way that, you know, my friends who.
Speaker BIt came a lot harder to, they were working harder at it.
Speaker BAnd then, wait a minute.
Speaker BI started realizing that they're the ones that are the professionals at that.
Speaker BAnd I was just this jack of all trades who was good at a lot of things and master of nothing.
Speaker BAnd so somewhere it was in my 40s, it was just a few years ago, I started asking these deeper questions.
Speaker BYou know, I've always been on a personal growth journey.
Speaker BI've always.
Speaker BBut this was the reality that hit me so deeply.
Speaker BYou know, I started asking if this is what life looks like at 80%, what am I missing out on by never pushing to 100?
Speaker BWe don't know how far we can go, how great we can be until we actually push the limits and get there.
Speaker BSo what about relationships?
Speaker BWhat impact?
Speaker BWhat inner peace?
Speaker BMore importantly, what version of myself is dying quietly in the background because I refused to go all in.
Speaker BI refused to sit down.
Speaker BThe things that were holding me back.
Speaker BI wasn't failing, but I wasn't fully living either.
Speaker BWhen I looked closer, what I saw was I was.
Speaker BI was stealing the other 20%.
Speaker BI saw what I was allowing to steal the other 20% from me.
Speaker BIt was from being comfortable.
Speaker BAddiction.
Speaker BI mean, geez, my 30s, you want to talk about alcohol.
Speaker BThe amount gallons and gallons and gallons and gallons, gallons of alcohol I consumed in my 30s.
Speaker BThere's two.
Speaker BTwo years of my life in my 30s.
Speaker BI don't remember.
Speaker BI was a fully functioning alcoholic in my 30s, you know, and I was able to hang all of that up because I chose health and I chose mental clarity.
Speaker BIt wasn't because I was like chemically addicted.
Speaker BHowever, man, there were some seasons in my life.
Speaker BIt was gross, it was rough.
Speaker BFear of exposure.
Speaker BThe belief that this is good enough was somehow noble.
Speaker BBut good enough is the lie we use to avoid being great.
Speaker BSo what, so what does the hundred percent life feel like?
Speaker BWhat changes when you go all in?
Speaker BBecause I want to inspire you to get there.
Speaker BI want to inspire you to finally set down the 80% life.
Speaker BSo when you give 100%, you become dangerous in the best way.
Speaker BYou become clear.
Speaker BYou become convicted.
Speaker BYou're consistent.
Speaker BYou don't dabble in purpose.
Speaker BYou demand purpose.
Speaker BYou stop needing motivation because momentum carries you.
Speaker BYou don't need to be motivated.
Speaker BYou're in momentum.
Speaker BThere's a difference between motivation and inspiration.
Speaker BMotivation comes from external circumstances.
Speaker BInspiration comes from this internal heart cry that pulls you forward to the place where you will not ever give up.
Speaker BYou just keep going.
Speaker BThis is a hustle.
Speaker BIt's full, energetic engagement.
Speaker BThis is the version of you, your inner child, thought you would grow into, but you didn't.
Speaker BAnd now it's time to set that down and say, yes, I am.
Speaker BI am choosing to be that person that as a kid, I knew I was going to be.
Speaker BWhen you were a kid and you knew everything was possible, be that person.
Speaker BThis is what it takes to get there.
Speaker BSo here's signs.
Speaker BHere's some framework for you.
Speaker BHere's signs.
Speaker BYou're living at 100%.
Speaker BYou follow through even when no one's watching.
Speaker BAll the way.
Speaker BYour inputs match your vision.
Speaker BBecause I know if you're that 80% person, your vision is huge like mine is.
Speaker BSo your input, the things that you're actually doing to achieve that match your vision.
Speaker BYou feel proud, not just praised, because I can tell you I've lived this life of everybody gives you accolades and praise and you're not proud of the results.
Speaker BYou feel almost like you're living a lie.
Speaker BEven though, even though you were the big fish in the small pond and you get all of these, woohoo.
Speaker BThat was awesome.
Speaker BYou know, you pulled the punches, you know you didn't go all in.
Speaker BSo it's almost like you're a sham because you didn't really, you didn't really give it all.
Speaker BAnd you know that.
Speaker BBut you're the only one that does, so signs you're living at 100.
Speaker BYou feel proud by what you did, not just praise and not proud in a falsehood.
Speaker BIt's okay to be proud of your accomplishments.
Speaker BYou experience deep peace and deep stretch.
Speaker BYou stop needing the vices because you filled the void.
Speaker BSo you're not afraid of burnout.
Speaker BYou're afraid of being fully seen.
Speaker BThat's what it is.
Speaker BSo you have to, you have to overcome that.
Speaker BWhen you're working towards that 100% life and you're resisting it, it's because you're not afraid.
Speaker BWe're not afraid of burnout, we're not afraid of working hard.
Speaker BBut we are a lot of times afraid of being fully seen.
Speaker BWe've been getting rewards for pretending.
Speaker BWhat if you showed up for real?
Speaker BSo here's your, here's your action step, here's your homework.
Speaker BI want you to visualize your hundred percent life.
Speaker BYour energy, your habits, your relationships, your rituals.
Speaker BNow what one thing must die today for that version to live.
Speaker BI want you to write that down, ingrain it, put it down and kill it off.
Speaker BWhat one thing must die today for the hundred percent version of you to live.
Speaker BSo I'm going to say something here because this may not be you, but I know, sadly, a lot of you, this, this is going to be you.
Speaker BThis is why a lot of people won't choose greatness.
Speaker BAnd it's it.
Speaker BThis is so clear why most people don't do it.
Speaker BYou know, why don't more people do it?
Speaker BIf it's so clear, why don't more people do it?
Speaker BBecause once you give 100%, you own your results.
Speaker BIt's taking radical responsibility for everything in your life.
Speaker BThere's no more hiding behind.
Speaker BI wasn't really trying.
Speaker BExcellence is terrifying because it takes away your excuses.
Speaker BBut I'm here to tell you it also sets you free and it gives you that freedom to fly.
Speaker BTo fly above anywhere you ever thought possible.
Speaker BThis is why they say it's.
Speaker BIt's lonely at the top.
Speaker BNot because there's not people there, but because you do have to leave behind some of the people that would claw you back into that 80% life.
Speaker BSo you, here's, here's the thing.
Speaker BYou can either keep your excuses or you can meet your but you meet your potential, but you don't get to keep the both.
Speaker BSo these episodes, the last episode, in this episode, I'm not here to hype you up.
Speaker BI'm here to call you back to you.
Speaker BYou have known this truth for, for such a long time.
Speaker BYou felt the rumble, you felt the whisper inside saying you were made for more.
Speaker BAnd you know it.
Speaker BThis isn't about perfection.
Speaker BThis isn't about pres.
Speaker BThis is about presence and choosing to live all the way turned on, all the way switched on.
Speaker BBe that 100%.
Speaker BSo let's recap this real quick.
Speaker BThe 80% life is seductive because it's easy, but it's soul numbing.
Speaker BI want your soul to sing with what you do.
Speaker BYou can win without being whole, but you'll always know the difference.
Speaker BThe cost of staying there is your peace, your power and your purpose.
Speaker BYou don't have to leap today, but you do have to decide because this is an awareness moment.
Speaker BOnce you are aware of this, you can no longer stay where you're at without knowing that you're choosing to.
Speaker BSo I want you to decide.
Speaker BI want you to choose the hundred percent life.
Speaker BSet the things down that are holding you back and go all in.
Speaker BBecause I'm here to tell you it is worth it.
Speaker BIf this episode woke something up in you, I want you to know I am here for you.
Speaker BI've got your back.
Speaker BI want you to shoot me a message.
Speaker BShoot me a direct message that says I choose 100.

Speaker BI've got.
Speaker BI've.
Speaker BLike I said, I've got three coaching spots left.
Speaker BOnce they're Gone.
Speaker BThey're gone.
Speaker BThat's all we got.
Speaker BMaybe I can carve out a couple more, but I am not taking on more.
Speaker BI've in this moment of not taking on more work than I know that I'm capable of to do it at my hundred.
Speaker BSo I have three spots left.
Speaker BSo if you want to do one on one coaching with me, awesome.
Speaker BIf you just want to message me and I will support you, I'll have this conversation with you.
Speaker BReach, Reach out.
Speaker BThat is.
Speaker BThat is how we achieve together.
Speaker BWe're creating a movement here that is so different.
Speaker BWe're creating a movement in home services that is nothing like anything that's ever been done before.
Speaker BBecause I want you to live that 100% life.
Speaker BLet's do this together.
Speaker BOne choice.
Speaker BOne day at a time, 1% at a time.
Speaker BIf you choose to be 1% better today than you were yesterday, at the end of the year, you're over 37 times better than you were starting out that year.
Speaker BThat's how the power of compounding works.
Speaker BSo what this means is this is truly how to become someone worth buying from.
Speaker BSo that's my wish for every single one of you out there is you go be someone worth buying from.
