Speaker A

Foreign.

Speaker B

And welcome to the Pat Accounting Podcast with me, your host, Vicky Clark.

Speaker B

I'm going to help you get to grips with your finances, save you lots of money and take the stress out of doing your tax return.

Speaker A

So let's get going.

Speaker A

Hello everyone and welcome back to our.

Speaker A

I don't know what to call it now because we always come on different times and different days and then have different people on.

Speaker A

It used to be called Wind Down Wednesday, then it was Thursday, then it was Friday, now we're Thursday again and it's always me at the minute, so let's just call it.

Speaker A

Welcome to Vicky's.

Speaker A

Catch up on this Thursday afternoon with my lovely protege, Tegan.

Speaker A

We thought we'd come on today and just do a little bit of a debrief from the Pet Pro Expo that happened at the weekend.

Speaker A

Still not fully recovered and we're on cloud nine.

Speaker A

Yes.

Speaker A

So just to give you guys a bit of background, me and Tegan have never ran an event that big before.

Speaker A

I've done teeny, teeny ones, but nothing on that scale.

Speaker A

And it was a bit of a last minute thing and I thought, screw it, let's do it.

Speaker A

Because the pet industry needs a conference that is going to help people with their business, not just their technical skills, which we don't have.

Speaker A

And everyone in America, they have loads of expos and stuff like that.

Speaker A

So I thought it was about time that we had some and it was our turn.

Speaker A

So hence why the Pet Pro Expo was created is to give you guys some business stuff to go home with and implement and hopefully let your business grow.

Speaker A

So we spent what from April to November.

Speaker A

Yeah.

Speaker A

Working on what to do, who have where to host it, you know, and it all came together on Saturday and we were ourselves a little bit going, oh my God, what terribly wrong.

Speaker A

What was if no one turns up?

Speaker A

And of course Storm Claudia had to come in and ruin the show.

Speaker A

Storm Claudia hit on Friday so a few people couldn't make it and they decided to go online.

Speaker A

So I was thinking we're going to sit, then it's gonna be like two people in the audience because of the weather.

Speaker A

But no, about what?

Speaker A

There must have been about 160, 170 people.

Speaker C

I think about at least 170 people there.

Speaker A

Yeah.

Speaker A

In the room, plus about 40, 50 odd watching it online.

Speaker A

So when I saw everyone sat down, I was packing my pants a little bit because we do, I do.

Speaker A

You had.

Speaker A

Yeah, we don't do public speaking.

Speaker A

And I saw everyone sat there and I was like, shit.

Speaker A

And Then halfway through our opening speech, Tegan dropped our cards on the floor and keep eyes of what I'm gonna say.

Speaker A

Yeah, I forgot to bring my glasses so I couldn't read my cue cards.

Speaker A

It's a weird window.

Speaker A

We just wong it and it went absolutely fine.

Speaker A

We had such a good time, such a laugh and a giggle.

Speaker A

There was some happy tears and just smiles and lots of love throughout the day and the night before.

Speaker A

Three of us all went out to the pub and had a few drinks the night before and Saturday night we all got together and people got pissed.

Speaker A

It was lovely.

Speaker C

That's the thing, like, so many people got, like.

Speaker C

Because there's so many.

Speaker C

I'd say 90% of people come in on their own.

Speaker C

There's quite a few that came with friends or like partners, but 90% were on their own.

Speaker C

And we had that WhatsApp group.

Speaker C

Everybody got together the night before and it was so great seeing people mingle.

Speaker C

And when I was chatting to attendees, it will actually sound very, very nervous and I'm quite shy, but here I found everybody so lovely and welcoming and it was just so nice to see people all mingling and getting to know each other.

Speaker A

Yeah, I think because it was a mixture of people as well.

Speaker A

So we had dog groomers, dog walkers, dog borders, trainers, pet shops, physiotes, all sorts.

Speaker A

Everyone was getting tips from everybody and it was just.

Speaker A

It was just a lovely day.

Speaker A

Obviously there was some minor things that went wrong, like the heating broke, so it was like a sweat box in there.

Speaker A

We have spoke to the venue about that and they got lunch out a little bit late, but thankfully the lunch was absolutely delicious and that probably got the most thing raved about it was the bloody lunch and the chips.

Speaker A

I don't know what they did with their chips, but they were amazing.

Speaker A

We had endless tea and coffee, juice, cookies, pastries.

Speaker A

Like the venue, to be fair, apart from the slight mishap of making everyone sweat.

Speaker A

And it was just lovely.

Speaker A

It was just a lovely venue.

Speaker A

Uh, and it genuinely couldn't have gone any better.

Speaker A

I think you needed some more staff on the day because I was running around with a microphone like a crazy bingo lady, trying to get the microphone for everyone who wanted to ask a question.

Speaker A

So there's little tweaks that we lay out there.

Speaker C

I was running around with the phone, the camera, like a little microphone, trying to get all the videos and photos.

Speaker A

So, yeah, so little tweaks that we need to make.

Speaker A

But overall, I think we got back quite late on Saturday night and decided it would Be a really good idea to read the feedback cards.

Speaker A

And it was genuinely quite overwhelming.

Speaker C

Yeah.

Speaker A

Because everyone left such good feedback.

Speaker A

Like, there was about what, 120 people that filled it in.

Speaker A

And I think was one that wasn't even necessarily like bad feedback.

Speaker A

It was more.

Speaker A

It's just one then, which is fair enough.

Speaker A

So like one out of 100 or if you include everyone out of 200, that like, it was just amazing.

Speaker A

Like, everyone was so lovely and we were just quite touched by it.

Speaker A

Yeah.

Speaker C

Just so the people that are like, you know, didn't see our feedback cards.

Speaker C

The way we laid them out is we had like kind of the questions and then you'd rate like 0 to 10.

Speaker C

And then we had like space for people to answer what was the favorite bit?

Speaker C

And what would they suggest that we can improve on?

Speaker C

And to get that feedback just to make it better next year.

Speaker C

And everybody.

Speaker C

I had these piles and anything 9 or 10 we had in a pile and it was all of them, bar a few that might have had an 8 or a 10.

Speaker C

So even then they weren't necessarily, like negative.

Speaker C

And people.

Speaker C

I think there's one person that said they wouldn't attend again just because it wasn't for them.

Speaker C

But, like, the overall consensus was that the, you know, people love the day.

Speaker C

They love the structure, they love the conference, the organization was great.

Speaker C

The food, like I say it was a little mishap with the.

Speaker C

The heat and someone want attendee not naming names, said they're going to bring the bikini next year.

Speaker A

Yeah.

Speaker A

I did start with a joke of like, just to ease my nerves.

Speaker A

Apparently you've got a picture everyone naked.

Speaker A

And by the time we got to the end of the day, I'm surprised people weren't sat in their pants because it was so hot in there.

Speaker A

But they have assured us that that will get fixed and won't happen again.

Speaker A

And these things happen.

Speaker A

Like, it's just one of those.

Speaker A

If that's the only thing that I can say that went wrong with the day, then we're really pleased with how it went.

Speaker A

And people were like, my God, you wouldn't even know that.

Speaker A

We hadn't organized an event like that before.

Speaker A

And the speakers were amazing.

Speaker A

Everyone learned so much.

Speaker A

Everyone raved about the goodie bags.

Speaker A

We did spend a lot of time on the goodie bags to make them useful and not just full of shit.

Speaker A

So they were really, really good goodie bags.

Speaker A

And everyone got a certificate at the end to say that they'd been.

Speaker A

And also they had the first.

Speaker A

They were there for the very first expo and you know, because of the feedback that we got and generally like just from the whole day like people just smile and audit and like people that you having a drink with on Saturday night everyone was sat together like just having a drink and sharing.

Speaker A

Even the WhatsApp group which was there just really is a intro to sort of help people get to the expo and stuff.

Speaker A

People are now sharing their wins in the, in the WhatsApp group every day of what they've implemented from the weekend.

Speaker A

We've got people that have up their prices, we've got people that have sacked, you know, pick up a drop offs off because it wasn't making any money.

Speaker A

We've just had people go, you know what I've said no.

Speaker A

And we've had so many wins come through.

Speaker A

So that WhatsApp group that was originally just if you nervous text us now become sort of a platform for people to ask questions and, and share their wins.

Speaker A

So it genuinely couldn't have gone any better.

Speaker C

I think that's the best bit to see like we had this amazing feedback and we're so nervous like for this event.

Speaker C

Like I say we didn't realize how much work would go into this.

Speaker C

There was lots of literal like blood, sweat and tears and it just for it to all pay off and then to see like the response being so positive.

Speaker C

It was really emotional like.

Speaker C

And honestly we can't thank people enough for believing in it.

Speaker C

You know, the sponsor, the speakers, especially all the attendees.

Speaker C

Because with without you, you know it wouldn't have happened if you hadn't believed in the event.

Speaker C

But also like people are there to learn about the business, invest in themselves, in the businesses, but also the community, watching everyone come together like you say, with smile on the faces, all being part of it together.

Speaker C

And in this group now, people helping each other and making them connections and staying in touch.

Speaker C

But like the last couple of days we're seeing people actually give us a wings of stuff they've taken away from the expo.

Speaker C

We didn't want them to be A wishy washy conference is all right.

Speaker C

Wishy washy conference where you're getting told stuff actually how do you go and implement that into your business?

Speaker C

People are actually taking actions away from the speakers to go and put in the business that are helping them.

Speaker A

So.

Speaker C

So I think that's the best part that the benefits people are seeing from the conference already in the matter of literally a few days.

Speaker C

So it's.

Speaker A

We had people fly over from Ireland, we had people coming from you know, Random places, or Hebrides, as Tegan likes to pronounce it.

Speaker C

I go to the Outer Hebrides.

Speaker C

Hi, Helen.

Speaker C

I've just seen that.

Speaker A

She said we had one person that had to get like two trains, a bus and all sorts just because of the weather.

Speaker A

So, you know, a big thank you to those who, you know, made that effort and actually came and just thought, no, screw it, I'm going to get there however I get there.

Speaker A

But no, it was a really good, A really, really good data speaker said amazing.

Speaker A

And yet we were just overwhelmed by how well it went because I said to team before, like, you know, if it literally falls on its ass, we'll not do it again because it was so stressful to do.

Speaker A

But actually even like from, from start to finish, people will just like it, succeed at their expectations, possibly.

Speaker A

And, you know, we've set the bar now when next year it will be even better.

Speaker C

But we're coming back.

Speaker A

You just, you just.

Speaker A

This is coming back.

Speaker A

Years will be even better.

Speaker A

Come on.

Speaker C

Yeah, no, I was just saying because I know we're getting on to that.

Speaker C

Well, that's the exciting news and that's how we're letting you all know that you've decided to do it again.

Speaker C

We're coming back next year, 2026.

Speaker C

Even better, not bigger, because me and Vicki have decided we're going to keep it to the same capacity.

Speaker C

We want to make this perfect before we, you know, then make.

Speaker C

We'll contemplate an arm.

Speaker C

Would we make it big or do we do a couple different events around the uk?

Speaker C

So, yeah, it's going to be for the same capacity and you want to tell them the date where it's going to be.

Speaker A

So please get your pens ready and put this into your diary.

Speaker A

This 3rd of October 2026, that's Saturday the 3rd of October 2026 at the east side Rooms in Birmingham.

Speaker A

So we're going back to the same venue.

Speaker A

Just because I've looked around at other venues and there just isn't any as good.

Speaker A

And the fact that the hotel literally is adjoined to the venue, it just made sense that everyone was in one place.

Speaker A

And yeah, so we've gone with the Same venue but 3rd October A. I don't think there's anything going on.

Speaker A

Please correct me if I'm wrong, but you heard it's really hard to pick a date because there's all sorts of confident like other like training conferences and stuff.

Speaker A

And I thought buzzy out.

Speaker A

So, yeah, because we, we did want.

Speaker C

To make we didn't want people to have to be in the position where they had to choose between that and another big event.

Speaker C

So we did put it out there, especially in the, in the, the groups.

Speaker C

And people were saying there's a lot going on in November, like every weekend, especially in the grooming industry.

Speaker C

So we picked the 3rd of October because it seemed like there's nothing else clashing with that day.

Speaker C

And like you said, the venue.

Speaker C

Yeah, and the venue, like when we say it's that the hotel is like neighboring, you don't even have to walk outside to walk to the hotel.

Speaker C

Like you go through a door and you're in your hotel lobby getting the lift upstairs.

Speaker C

So it's perfect because like previously we now stay on any sea across, don't we?

Speaker C

But in previous years when we've been across, we've actually been staying like after a long day you're getting in the car and having to drive to the hotel and it's, it is a bit of faff and then you having to freshen up then drive back to meet people.

Speaker C

So the fact that the hotel is.

Speaker A

Literally joined, people loved it and it.

Speaker C

Was a nice margin hotel.

Speaker A

So yeah, I will try and see if I can get some sort of discount for the hotels because last or this year, say last year they, their price for the room was like more than if you just booked it direct, which doesn't make any sense, I think, because maybe because it was refundable potentially.

Speaker A

But I will speak to them over the next coming weeks and say, you know, can we have some rooms at discount a price please?

Speaker A

Because we're going to have a lot of people because there were so many people that stayed in the hotel.

Speaker A

Oh yeah.

Speaker A

It just made it nice because everyone had a drink with each other before and after and it was definitely just.

Speaker A

Just an absolutely lovely day and, and I couldn't have, I couldn't have made it go any better and more well received if we try.

Speaker A

Which is why do it again?

Speaker A

Because we've the, you know, there was some feedback on there that maybe I'd crammed too many speakers in.

Speaker A

I'd probably give you too much, which is, you know, a good thing to have.

Speaker A

So, yeah, it's not a bad issue.

Speaker A

No, it's not a bad issue to have.

Speaker A

But what we're going to do next year is it's going to be the same format, same layout, but we're going to have slightly less speakers.

Speaker A

But you're going to have to slightly.

Speaker A

Yeah, yeah.

Speaker A

Because a lot of people said we would have liked longer with that speaker to be able to ask questions afterwards.

Speaker A

So we're going to make their slots bigger and just have a couple less speakers so that you've got more breaks in between so that you can mingle and network.

Speaker A

But you still.

Speaker A

It's a the same layout as last week.

Speaker C

Because I know that Vicky and me was just so excited and sometimes I have to reinviki in.

Speaker C

Like, I say this, guys, I mean it.

Speaker C

Like, Vic gets all these because she's so passionate about it, like we both are and she wants to make it amazing.

Speaker C

And she was saying, oh, you know, we should do more of an interactive afternoon with these roundtables and get people mingling more.

Speaker C

So I have the speakers in the morning and.

Speaker C

But I had to remind her that actually, like, we would have to.

Speaker C

I wish I had the feedback cards.

Speaker C

We were at home, like the pile of amazing.

Speaker C

Not one person said that the conference, the way it was laid out in the organization, could have been improved.

Speaker C

So actually, why change it?

Speaker C

Everybody's loved it.

Speaker C

So we're going to keep it.

Speaker A

But do other smaller events that will be a bit more interactive and a bit more handsome.

Speaker A

Because I do think it would, you know, it would help.

Speaker A

And whether we do a north and south one again, all to be confirmed.

Speaker A

But what my aim is at the minute is to finesse what we have and make that the best it could possibly be before we start because someone asked me if we could do one in Ireland and, you know, there's no reason why we can't.

Speaker A

But I just want to finesse what we have first before we start duplicating.

Speaker C

Ending it.

Speaker A

Yeah.

Speaker A

103rd of October.

Speaker A

If you were an attendee this year, whether it was online or in person, whether.

Speaker A

Even if you couldn't make it, you do have an exclusive discount to get the early Bird tickets.

Speaker A

Yeah.

Speaker C

As a thank you.

Speaker A

The thank you.

Speaker A

So you will get money off you've had.

Speaker A

If you're in the WhatsApp group, the link's in there.

Speaker A

If you're in the private Facebook group, the link is in there.

Speaker A

And you've also had an email with the link on as well.

Speaker A

There are only 10 tickets left for those.

Speaker A

Once they're gone, they're gone.

Speaker A

And then you're shaking your head about if I've gone.

Speaker C

No, no, I was just.

Speaker A

You know what?

Speaker C

I think it's just because again, all the emotion like last night, we only put it out into the WhatsApp group, the Facebook group and the mail list for the 2025 attendees to get there.

Speaker C

So it's like come to them first is like a thank you for attending, get a little cheap discount and like the fact that there's only 10 left.

Speaker C

Like they've just again, it just shows how much everyone's loved it and it's just like.

Speaker C

So I can't put it into words.

Speaker C

Like it is just quite how much we appreciate it that people want to return.

Speaker A

So there's 10 of those left.

Speaker A

So if you are a current attendee, then please check out that code and get them before they all disappear because once the 75 are gone, they're gone.

Speaker A

And then the general release tickets will go on sale on Sunday at 7pm and the price of the ticket is £189.

Speaker A

That's including VATs and nothing extra.

Speaker A

And again you will get breakfast, lunch, the goodie bags, the speakers and you'll also get a copy of the recordings afterwards.

Speaker A

So those of you who attended, you're going to get an email tomorrow with a link and it'll take you to a platform that will have all of the online speakers and all of the in person speakers broke up so you don't have to watch the whole day again and you have access to those for 12 months.

Speaker A

So exactly the same.

Speaker A

Absolute bargain.

Speaker A

We're going to bring back three of the speakers from this year to next year just because of the amount of good feedback that we had and the.

Speaker C

Fact that everyone's absolutely made it secret now, aren't we?

Speaker C

We're going to keep it for secret.

Speaker A

Well, because I did put it in the outside.

Speaker A

Creep.

Speaker C

Honestly, she can't help herself.

Speaker C

Claire, fast.

Speaker C

What the price is.

Speaker C

Claire, that did attention, what's the price of the first 75 people?

Speaker C

So 65.

Speaker C

Yes, you can get 24 pounds off.

Speaker A

So Claire, if you're in that WhatsApp group, there's a code in there to put in the checkout to get that discount.

Speaker A

What was the same?

Speaker C

There was 165 for the 10 left for the 2025 attendees.

Speaker C

Once they're gone, they're gone.

Speaker C

And then generally yes.

Speaker A

So everyone who did attend will get an email tomorrow with a link to go and watch all of the recordings back and it'll have, you'll have a copy of those until the next expo and then if you come to the 2026 again, you'll have access to all of the recordings as well.

Speaker A

So you're not having to frantically write everything down and everything will be the same.

Speaker A

The goodie bags, the food, the drinks and our sparkly faces.

Speaker A

What More could you ask for?

Speaker A

It's a business expense, peoples, so put it on the business.

Speaker A

There's still payment plans available so you can split the cost over three months.

Speaker A

If you're a client and you want it maybe slightly longer than three months, then drop us an email, see what we can do.

Speaker A

And yeah, all your travel, your accommodation, everything is an allowable expense.

Speaker A

So make sure you put it on the business.

Speaker A

But only a couple of drinks.

Speaker A

Not Laura's trays of shots.

Speaker C

Oh yeah, I think, I think between Emily, who's our admin that was there with us and Laura and Alicia who are clients, good friends and attendees of the expo, I think between them they.

Speaker A

Had about six trays of shots and.

Speaker C

They'Ll try and get the receipts and I was like, nope.

Speaker A

So Claire left the WhatsApp group.

Speaker A

No, the WhatsApp group.

Speaker A

Still going, Claire.

Speaker A

It's thriving in there.

Speaker A

Get yourself back.

Speaker C

Do you want me to add you back in?

Speaker A

Glad you're back in.

Speaker A

If you want to be back in.

Speaker C

It is good Claire, because everyone's writing like ask each of her questions on how to like, you know, I know we need to put my prices up but how do I word that?

Speaker C

And you know this no show's happened and how do I combat that?

Speaker C

So it wasn't something we're planning on keeping open, but it just with how lovely everybody's supporting each other and we're getting all this feedback, it's just we're going to keep that open until next.

Speaker A

Year, probably general Release Sunday at 7pm we will.

Speaker A

If all the Early Bird tickets go, which I'm sure they will do, there'll be 125 tickets left.

Speaker A

We cannot go over 200 so there's no, oh, you know, we might add a few more later on literally at capacity.

Speaker A

So if you want a ticket, please, please grab it as soon as you can.

Speaker A

Like I said, there are payment options on there so you can spread the payment out.

Speaker A

I get that it's near Christmas so not the most ideal time, but like I said, you can split the payment over three and even if you get the Early Bird one or the standard price, there will be online versions as well because that had such good feedback as well from the people who watched it online.

Speaker A

So that if you can't make it for whatever reason or you don't like traveling or you don't drive or whatever.

Speaker C

Children, it's not A lot of people have said the home board in next year they've booked in clients and you can't get there Would love to be there.

Speaker C

You've not got to miss out, you can watch it and, and the feedback's been really good because you were saying that Lorna, the lady was doing all our lives.

Speaker A

Big shout out to her.

Speaker A

She runs my or my events and she recorded and videoed and live streamed the whole thing and it was amazing.

Speaker A

So big shout out to her and I think she does stuff for weddings as well.

Speaker A

So give her a shout out if you, if you need someone that just very, very good organizer.

Speaker A

She kept me on my toes the whole day and was telling me what to do and shout out to everyone, which was great.

Speaker A

So yes, it will be live streamed and the tickets for the online tickets will go on sale in the new year just to give us a bit of a breather but because we know that everyone has said they want a ticket for next year's and we're going to release the general release on Sunday, like I said.

Speaker A

So make sure you get your hands on them because once they're gone, they're gone and I can't get any more.

Speaker C

Sunday at 7 o'.

Speaker C

Clock.

Speaker C

So we'll put it on the Pet Prox for Instagram, Facebook.

Speaker C

We'll be putting it on the Pet Accounting Instagram, Facebook and the Pet Accounting Group, which I know that this, that you're watching now you'll either be watching on the Pet account Facebook page or.

Speaker A

Have a look on the Pet Pro Expo Facebook page because there's going to be, there's lots of videos on there from the weekend.

Speaker A

There's going to be lots of photos.

Speaker A

You know, we're going to share everyone's wins with you and how they found it and we're going to show that.

Speaker A

So if you're a bit on the fence, then go and check out the page, check out the Instagram or even our social media because it'll all be on there and you're going to get a lot more over the next coming days of how people found it and stuff like that.

Speaker A

So it's definitely, definitely worth doing.

Speaker A

It was just amazing.

Speaker A

Like, I know obviously we're biased, but if you read the feedback yourselves, which we'll publish later on this week and then you'll read it for, for yourself.

Speaker A

It was such a good day.

Speaker A

And we're going to have, like I said before, we're gonna have three speakers back from this year because people wanted them back and then we're gonna have a few more four or five new speakers with doing different topics and they will be released as and when we decide to release them.

Speaker A

But I've got, I think number one today.

Speaker A

Spoke to a lovely lady today and I think she's definitely going to be on the roster for next year.

Speaker C

Recommended by one of our returning speakers.

Speaker A

Yeah, I tried to get certain individual everyone requested last for last weekend, but he's very, very hard to pin down.

Speaker A

So I'm just waiting to hear about working on him.

Speaker A

Well, let's see if he's actually in the country then.

Speaker A

But he'd be very, very good.

Speaker A

So, yeah, there's lots going on in the background and different topics that we're going to get that are going to help you personally and also you in the business.

Speaker A

So we're going to focus on both or if we just want to come and have a drink, this is it.

Speaker C

People went for, like, for different reasons.

Speaker C

Everyone was there to invest the business.

Speaker C

Like, knowledge is power in the day.

Speaker C

That's one of my mottos, knowledge is power.

Speaker C

The more you learn, the better you know, you can grow personally, whether it's working on burnout work, life balance, to help yourself or to actually implement new business to earn more money, like that is our goal is to help you and your business.

Speaker A

But there's other people that are just.

Speaker C

Saying that, you know, the fine running the business, quite a lonely place and come in here to meet other pet professionals and make them, you know, bonds, relationships, support each other.

Speaker C

And then that is just becoming evident because of the WhatsApp group and how much people are continuing it on.

Speaker C

So, yeah, if you think in you want to meet other professionals or you want to like grow your business and earn more money, either way, the Pet Pro Expo, I know we're going to be biased, but it's, it is the place to be because.

Speaker C

And like I say, you know, hanging out.

Speaker A

So loads of people got FOMO over the weekend because they were like, I wish I bought a ticket because.

Speaker A

And we get it.

Speaker A

You know, it's never been done before.

Speaker A

It's a bit sort of like, do I risk spending that much money?

Speaker A

You know, just wait and see what happened.

Speaker C

And actually, unknown isn't there.

Speaker A

People had friends ring them up going, how was it?

Speaker A

And then they were, oh, which I bought a ticket.

Speaker A

I've missed it.

Speaker A

So don't get fomo.

Speaker A

Get yourself a ticket either today or on Sunday for general release.

Speaker A

Claire, if you want to take it, make sure you get the code and it'll be in the Facebook group as well.

Speaker A

If you can't remember the code, let us know and I'll text it to you.

Speaker A

But yeah, I think we will probably get a sellout crowd this year, next year, which would be amazing.

Speaker A

And we'll hopefully do every year and it'll get bigger and better.

Speaker A

And yeah, we'll give you feedback on next year after our little tweaks.

Speaker A

But we will release the speakers as we get them.

Speaker A

But we're not going to tell you straight away because it'll be a secret.

Speaker A

Yeah.

Speaker C

And I'm just quickly make sure we've covered some of these comments.

Speaker C

So Helen, lovely Helen's going to say that she'll be there next year probably in the diary it goes, keep an eye out then for Sunday, 7 o' clock for the tickets and then we've got waggies, waggy walks and cozy.

Speaker C

Oh, Cuddles, that's a cute name.

Speaker C

Just saying that.

Speaker A

We were talking about it for bloody months.

Speaker A

I know.

Speaker C

All over our social media.

Speaker C

But if people are looking out for it, I guess that much on your news feeds and stuff, you may have.

Speaker A

Missed it on the lead up because.

Speaker C

I see you sold as well.

Speaker A

This is.

Speaker C

Yeah.

Speaker A

And so probably our fault as well.

Speaker A

But it'll be everywhere.

Speaker A

Now get yourself on the.

Speaker A

The Pet Practical Facebook page because we'll put a lot of updates on there.

Speaker A

We will, we will.

Speaker C

And then you're just saying when will the ticket.

Speaker C

Where will the tickets be for sale?

Speaker C

So there will be links.

Speaker A

We have.

Speaker A

Don't tell everyone because otherwise everyone's going to go there now and then Sunday.

Speaker A

So we will tell you how to get the tickets on.

Speaker C

Yeah, you just saved me then.

Speaker A

Otherwise there'll be a sneaky peaky that figures it out.

Speaker A

If you figure it out and you buy one.

Speaker A

Good on you.

Speaker A

If you figure it out.

Speaker A

But we're not going to tell you where it is.

Speaker C

Yeah, I'll keep my lip seal.

Speaker C

No worries.

Speaker A

Okay.

Speaker C

Is that everybody?

Speaker C

So yeah, I think that was just really the questions I had.

Speaker C

There is.

Speaker C

So tickets, general release tickets are going on sale Sunday, 7 o', clock, first come, first serve.

Speaker C

There's 125 for sale.

Speaker C

Once they sell out, we are at.

Speaker A

200 capacity bird ones and then the general release happens and all the tickets go.

Speaker A

Then it is what it is.

Speaker A

So yeah.

Speaker C

Okay, so because we have had to limit the early bird, the, the.

Speaker A

What's the word?

Speaker C

The exclusive discount for the 2025 attendees.

Speaker C

So like I said that they're the ones only have 10 left.

Speaker C

So if you were a 2025 attendee.

Speaker A

Yeah.

Speaker C

There's a couple of different payment options.

Speaker C

I don't know if we've Covered that.

Speaker A

You can do bank transfer, Google pay, Apple pay, credit card, Klarna, or email us.

Speaker A

Yeah.

Speaker C

And then we can.

Speaker C

Yeah, you did mention that earlier.

Speaker A

Loads of ways to pay.

Speaker C

Yeah.

Speaker C

So I think that's everything.

Speaker C

I just wanted to obviously mention my highlight of the day.

Speaker C

I think probably everybody's highlight.

Speaker C

Have you got it?

Speaker C

Have you got it with you?

Speaker C

Okay.

Speaker C

Do you want to tell everybody kind of what happened in the intro?

Speaker A

We have a lovely client called Kevin, and every year when we go to Crufts, he always brings me a T shirt.

Speaker A

And the very first year we did it, he had a T shirt that said, hashtag, don't need an accountant.

Speaker A

Because it was a joke I made on here and he wasn't expecting me to take it off him, so I took it off him that day and he had to walk around cruffs at his vest.

Speaker A

So it became a bit of a thing.

Speaker A

Whenever he sees me, he brings me a T shirt, but he wears clothes underneath this time.

Speaker A

And because obviously we were a bit nervous at the beginning and I saw Kevin walk in in this bright red T shirt that had the ticket printed out on the front of it.

Speaker A

Right.

Speaker A

I obviously spotted him.

Speaker A

And as part of the intro, I said, you know, people say, you've got a picture everyone naked and it'll make you feel better.

Speaker A

And I said, right, Kevin, where are you?

Speaker A

And as I walked towards Kevin, Lorna played a hot chocolate sexy thing and Tegan started shouting, take it off, take it, take it off.

Speaker C

And then I was going, come on, Kevin, give me the.

Speaker A

Swinging it round his head.

Speaker A

And then I got the T shirt.

Speaker A

So it has become a bit of a theme of what is Kevin going to wear next?

Speaker A

So hopefully next Kevin is returning next year back.

Speaker A

So we can all see, see what T shirt Kevin has got planned for the next expo and we'll see if we can make him strip again.

Speaker A

But he did have a shirt underneath this time.

Speaker C

Special thanks to Kevin for always making.

Speaker A

Us making a little bit more relaxed.

Speaker A

Yeah, so we do have a bit of a giggle there as well.

Speaker A

It's not all.

Speaker C

It's not a corporate conference and people have said that as well.

Speaker C

It's a relaxed vibe.

Speaker C

Like, you know, we are is professional.

Speaker C

You get lots of information there, expert speakers.

Speaker C

But I think especially me and you, you know, hosting it and then like introduce everything between.

Speaker C

We try and make it as relaxed and comical as we can.

Speaker C

I think the second I dropped my cards and we looked at each other and we went, you ain't.

Speaker A

She dropped hers and someone said, we.

Speaker C

Were like a comedy act together.

Speaker C

I think we are on the PET account anyway, the amount of giggle fits that we have.

Speaker C

So we barrel off each other and I think it's funny.

Speaker A

Next year we'll be a bit less nervous and it'll flow Pet.

Speaker C

I thought I was really nervous, guys.

Speaker A

And I've watched video, looked fine.

Speaker A

I was all over the place.

Speaker A

But yeah, must have been though.

Speaker C

I said I should.

Speaker A

Oh, who's.

Speaker C

I think that's the team's giving big.

Speaker A

Thank you just before we go to everyone who attended, obviously the sponsors that helped us do the event.

Speaker A

So Tug Enough Low Pay Animal Folks alliance and the Paw Pal Pet care app.

Speaker A

Because without their help it might not have been as good as it was.

Speaker A

So a big shout out to them.

Speaker A

Yeah.

Speaker A

And obviously all the speakers as well that made the way down through Storm Claudia to the stage.

Speaker A

Big banking to those as well.

Speaker A

Pretty Storm Claudia, but hopefully because it's the 3rd of October next year it'll be slightly lighter and there'll be no storms.

Speaker A

Glad it wasn't this Saturday with all the snow.

Speaker A

So we found it.

Speaker A

Well, we did, yeah.

Speaker A

But other than that, we will leave you guys to it.

Speaker A

As always, make sure that you subscribe to the Pet Accountant podcast and watch all of our social medias.

Speaker A

We're everywhere.

Speaker A

And just if you're not on the PetroExpo page, make sure you go and follow that for any updates.

Speaker A

And if you are listening to this and you want the ticket, they will drop on the 7pm on Sunday with the link.

Speaker A

If you find out and figure out where the link is before then a manage to buy a ticket, then you can do so.

Speaker A

If there's any detectives out there that might figure out where it is.

Speaker A

But we'll leave that and we'll see if anyone manages it because it'll pop up.

Speaker A

Other than that, if you are an attendee, make sure that you use the early bird discount code before Sunday to get that money off.

Speaker A

That's it.

Speaker C

Yeah.

Speaker C

Thank you guys.

Speaker C

Yeah, thank you very much for having me, Vic.

Speaker A

And if you've got any questions, please let us know.

Speaker A

But we'll.

Speaker C

We do have a Pet Pro Expo email address.

Speaker A

Oh, yes.

Speaker A

If you've got any queries, we do have a direct email address which is infoetproexpo.co.uk.

Speaker C

Yeah, I know, obviously, yeah.

Speaker C

Clients and attendees, I know they've been used to emailing the petals and the PET account, but obviously we're dealing with all our PET account clients and the accounts and everything on there.

Speaker C

So what we're asking is anything related to the Pet Pro Expo, email that email address and then it will be action and dealt with a bit quicker by email in there.

Speaker C

And so, yeah, fabulous.

Speaker C

Any questions, let us know.

Speaker C

Thanks for coming, thanks for showing your interest being here and I will see.

Speaker A

You and we'll see you next week.

Speaker A

Whether it's before the budget or after, we'll see.

Speaker A

But we've got that joy to look forward to.

Speaker A

But we will be back and we'll have a live going through all of the different bits and bobs on the budget that obviously can be relevant.

Speaker C

So get your mum on to discuss the budget with you on the podcast.

Speaker C

Vic.

Speaker A

No, Jude does not need to come on here because she'd be on for about five hours ranting, ranting, ranting about.

Speaker C

The budget, the government, all sorts.

Speaker A

Yeah.

Speaker A

But she did get a winter fuel allowance which is all good.

Speaker A

But yes, other than that, we'll catch you up next week.

Speaker A

Thank you guys again from us and hopefully we'll see more of you again there next year.

Speaker A

So, yeah, goodbye.

Speaker A

Have a good week.

Speaker C

Have a nice time.

Speaker A
