Foreign.
Speaker BAnd welcome to the Pat Accounting Podcast with me, your host, Vicky Clark.
Speaker BI'm going to help you get to grips with your finances, save you lots of money and take the stress out of doing your tax return.
Speaker ASo let's get going.
Speaker AHello everyone and welcome back to our.
Speaker AI don't know what to call it now because we always come on different times and different days and then have different people on.
Speaker AIt used to be called Wind Down Wednesday, then it was Thursday, then it was Friday, now we're Thursday again and it's always me at the minute, so let's just call it.
Speaker AWelcome to Vicky's.
Speaker ACatch up on this Thursday afternoon with my lovely protege, Tegan.
Speaker AWe thought we'd come on today and just do a little bit of a debrief from the Pet Pro Expo that happened at the weekend.
Speaker AStill not fully recovered and we're on cloud nine.
Speaker AYes.
Speaker ASo just to give you guys a bit of background, me and Tegan have never ran an event that big before.
Speaker AI've done teeny, teeny ones, but nothing on that scale.
Speaker AAnd it was a bit of a last minute thing and I thought, screw it, let's do it.
Speaker ABecause the pet industry needs a conference that is going to help people with their business, not just their technical skills, which we don't have.
Speaker AAnd everyone in America, they have loads of expos and stuff like that.
Speaker ASo I thought it was about time that we had some and it was our turn.
Speaker ASo hence why the Pet Pro Expo was created is to give you guys some business stuff to go home with and implement and hopefully let your business grow.
Speaker ASo we spent what from April to November.
Speaker AYeah.
Speaker AWorking on what to do, who have where to host it, you know, and it all came together on Saturday and we were ourselves a little bit going, oh my God, what terribly wrong.
Speaker AWhat was if no one turns up?
Speaker AAnd of course Storm Claudia had to come in and ruin the show.
Speaker AStorm Claudia hit on Friday so a few people couldn't make it and they decided to go online.
Speaker ASo I was thinking we're going to sit, then it's gonna be like two people in the audience because of the weather.
Speaker ABut no, about what?
Speaker AThere must have been about 160, 170 people.
Speaker CI think about at least 170 people there.
Speaker AYeah.
Speaker AIn the room, plus about 40, 50 odd watching it online.
Speaker ASo when I saw everyone sat down, I was packing my pants a little bit because we do, I do.
Speaker AYou had.
Speaker AYeah, we don't do public speaking.
Speaker AAnd I saw everyone sat there and I was like, shit.
Speaker AAnd Then halfway through our opening speech, Tegan dropped our cards on the floor and keep eyes of what I'm gonna say.
Speaker AYeah, I forgot to bring my glasses so I couldn't read my cue cards.
Speaker AIt's a weird window.
Speaker AWe just wong it and it went absolutely fine.
Speaker AWe had such a good time, such a laugh and a giggle.
Speaker AThere was some happy tears and just smiles and lots of love throughout the day and the night before.
Speaker AThree of us all went out to the pub and had a few drinks the night before and Saturday night we all got together and people got pissed.
Speaker AIt was lovely.
Speaker CThat's the thing, like, so many people got, like.
Speaker CBecause there's so many.
Speaker CI'd say 90% of people come in on their own.
Speaker CThere's quite a few that came with friends or like partners, but 90% were on their own.
Speaker CAnd we had that WhatsApp group.
Speaker CEverybody got together the night before and it was so great seeing people mingle.
Speaker CAnd when I was chatting to attendees, it will actually sound very, very nervous and I'm quite shy, but here I found everybody so lovely and welcoming and it was just so nice to see people all mingling and getting to know each other.
Speaker AYeah, I think because it was a mixture of people as well.
Speaker ASo we had dog groomers, dog walkers, dog borders, trainers, pet shops, physiotes, all sorts.
Speaker AEveryone was getting tips from everybody and it was just.
Speaker AIt was just a lovely day.
Speaker AObviously there was some minor things that went wrong, like the heating broke, so it was like a sweat box in there.
Speaker AWe have spoke to the venue about that and they got lunch out a little bit late, but thankfully the lunch was absolutely delicious and that probably got the most thing raved about it was the bloody lunch and the chips.
Speaker AI don't know what they did with their chips, but they were amazing.
Speaker AWe had endless tea and coffee, juice, cookies, pastries.
Speaker ALike the venue, to be fair, apart from the slight mishap of making everyone sweat.
Speaker AAnd it was just lovely.
Speaker AIt was just a lovely venue.
Speaker AUh, and it genuinely couldn't have gone any better.
Speaker AI think you needed some more staff on the day because I was running around with a microphone like a crazy bingo lady, trying to get the microphone for everyone who wanted to ask a question.
Speaker ASo there's little tweaks that we lay out there.
Speaker CI was running around with the phone, the camera, like a little microphone, trying to get all the videos and photos.
Speaker ASo, yeah, so little tweaks that we need to make.
Speaker ABut overall, I think we got back quite late on Saturday night and decided it would Be a really good idea to read the feedback cards.
Speaker AAnd it was genuinely quite overwhelming.
Speaker CYeah.
Speaker ABecause everyone left such good feedback.
Speaker ALike, there was about what, 120 people that filled it in.
Speaker AAnd I think was one that wasn't even necessarily like bad feedback.
Speaker AIt was more.
Speaker AIt's just one then, which is fair enough.
Speaker ASo like one out of 100 or if you include everyone out of 200, that like, it was just amazing.
Speaker ALike, everyone was so lovely and we were just quite touched by it.
Speaker AYeah.
Speaker CJust so the people that are like, you know, didn't see our feedback cards.
Speaker CThe way we laid them out is we had like kind of the questions and then you'd rate like 0 to 10.
Speaker CAnd then we had like space for people to answer what was the favorite bit?
Speaker CAnd what would they suggest that we can improve on?
Speaker CAnd to get that feedback just to make it better next year.
Speaker CAnd everybody.
Speaker CI had these piles and anything 9 or 10 we had in a pile and it was all of them, bar a few that might have had an 8 or a 10.
Speaker CSo even then they weren't necessarily, like negative.
Speaker CAnd people.
Speaker CI think there's one person that said they wouldn't attend again just because it wasn't for them.
Speaker CBut, like, the overall consensus was that the, you know, people love the day.
Speaker CThey love the structure, they love the conference, the organization was great.
Speaker CThe food, like I say it was a little mishap with the.
Speaker CThe heat and someone want attendee not naming names, said they're going to bring the bikini next year.
Speaker AYeah.
Speaker AI did start with a joke of like, just to ease my nerves.
Speaker AApparently you've got a picture everyone naked.
Speaker AAnd by the time we got to the end of the day, I'm surprised people weren't sat in their pants because it was so hot in there.
Speaker ABut they have assured us that that will get fixed and won't happen again.
Speaker AAnd these things happen.
Speaker ALike, it's just one of those.
Speaker AIf that's the only thing that I can say that went wrong with the day, then we're really pleased with how it went.
Speaker AAnd people were like, my God, you wouldn't even know that.
Speaker AWe hadn't organized an event like that before.
Speaker AAnd the speakers were amazing.
Speaker AEveryone learned so much.
Speaker AEveryone raved about the goodie bags.
Speaker AWe did spend a lot of time on the goodie bags to make them useful and not just full of shit.
Speaker ASo they were really, really good goodie bags.
Speaker AAnd everyone got a certificate at the end to say that they'd been.
Speaker AAnd also they had the first.
Speaker AThey were there for the very first expo and you know, because of the feedback that we got and generally like just from the whole day like people just smile and audit and like people that you having a drink with on Saturday night everyone was sat together like just having a drink and sharing.
Speaker AEven the WhatsApp group which was there just really is a intro to sort of help people get to the expo and stuff.
Speaker APeople are now sharing their wins in the, in the WhatsApp group every day of what they've implemented from the weekend.
Speaker AWe've got people that have up their prices, we've got people that have sacked, you know, pick up a drop offs off because it wasn't making any money.
Speaker AWe've just had people go, you know what I've said no.
Speaker AAnd we've had so many wins come through.
Speaker ASo that WhatsApp group that was originally just if you nervous text us now become sort of a platform for people to ask questions and, and share their wins.
Speaker ASo it genuinely couldn't have gone any better.
Speaker CI think that's the best bit to see like we had this amazing feedback and we're so nervous like for this event.
Speaker CLike I say we didn't realize how much work would go into this.
Speaker CThere was lots of literal like blood, sweat and tears and it just for it to all pay off and then to see like the response being so positive.
Speaker CIt was really emotional like.
Speaker CAnd honestly we can't thank people enough for believing in it.
Speaker CYou know, the sponsor, the speakers, especially all the attendees.
Speaker CBecause with without you, you know it wouldn't have happened if you hadn't believed in the event.
Speaker CBut also like people are there to learn about the business, invest in themselves, in the businesses, but also the community, watching everyone come together like you say, with smile on the faces, all being part of it together.
Speaker CAnd in this group now, people helping each other and making them connections and staying in touch.
Speaker CBut like the last couple of days we're seeing people actually give us a wings of stuff they've taken away from the expo.
Speaker CWe didn't want them to be A wishy washy conference is all right.
Speaker CWishy washy conference where you're getting told stuff actually how do you go and implement that into your business?
Speaker CPeople are actually taking actions away from the speakers to go and put in the business that are helping them.
Speaker ASo.
Speaker CSo I think that's the best part that the benefits people are seeing from the conference already in the matter of literally a few days.
Speaker CSo it's.
Speaker AWe had people fly over from Ireland, we had people coming from you know, Random places, or Hebrides, as Tegan likes to pronounce it.
Speaker CI go to the Outer Hebrides.
Speaker CHi, Helen.
Speaker CI've just seen that.
Speaker AShe said we had one person that had to get like two trains, a bus and all sorts just because of the weather.
Speaker ASo, you know, a big thank you to those who, you know, made that effort and actually came and just thought, no, screw it, I'm going to get there however I get there.
Speaker ABut no, it was a really good, A really, really good data speaker said amazing.
Speaker AAnd yet we were just overwhelmed by how well it went because I said to team before, like, you know, if it literally falls on its ass, we'll not do it again because it was so stressful to do.
Speaker ABut actually even like from, from start to finish, people will just like it, succeed at their expectations, possibly.
Speaker AAnd, you know, we've set the bar now when next year it will be even better.
Speaker CBut we're coming back.
Speaker AYou just, you just.
Speaker AThis is coming back.
Speaker AYears will be even better.
Speaker ACome on.
Speaker CYeah, no, I was just saying because I know we're getting on to that.
Speaker CWell, that's the exciting news and that's how we're letting you all know that you've decided to do it again.
Speaker CWe're coming back next year, 2026.
Speaker CEven better, not bigger, because me and Vicki have decided we're going to keep it to the same capacity.
Speaker CWe want to make this perfect before we, you know, then make.
Speaker CWe'll contemplate an arm.
Speaker CWould we make it big or do we do a couple different events around the uk?
Speaker CSo, yeah, it's going to be for the same capacity and you want to tell them the date where it's going to be.
Speaker ASo please get your pens ready and put this into your diary.
Speaker AThis 3rd of October 2026, that's Saturday the 3rd of October 2026 at the east side Rooms in Birmingham.
Speaker ASo we're going back to the same venue.
Speaker AJust because I've looked around at other venues and there just isn't any as good.
Speaker AAnd the fact that the hotel literally is adjoined to the venue, it just made sense that everyone was in one place.
Speaker AAnd yeah, so we've gone with the Same venue but 3rd October A. I don't think there's anything going on.
Speaker APlease correct me if I'm wrong, but you heard it's really hard to pick a date because there's all sorts of confident like other like training conferences and stuff.
Speaker AAnd I thought buzzy out.
Speaker ASo, yeah, because we, we did want.
Speaker CTo make we didn't want people to have to be in the position where they had to choose between that and another big event.
Speaker CSo we did put it out there, especially in the, in the, the groups.
Speaker CAnd people were saying there's a lot going on in November, like every weekend, especially in the grooming industry.
Speaker CSo we picked the 3rd of October because it seemed like there's nothing else clashing with that day.
Speaker CAnd like you said, the venue.
Speaker CYeah, and the venue, like when we say it's that the hotel is like neighboring, you don't even have to walk outside to walk to the hotel.
Speaker CLike you go through a door and you're in your hotel lobby getting the lift upstairs.
Speaker CSo it's perfect because like previously we now stay on any sea across, don't we?
Speaker CBut in previous years when we've been across, we've actually been staying like after a long day you're getting in the car and having to drive to the hotel and it's, it is a bit of faff and then you having to freshen up then drive back to meet people.
Speaker CSo the fact that the hotel is.
Speaker ALiterally joined, people loved it and it.
Speaker CWas a nice margin hotel.
Speaker ASo yeah, I will try and see if I can get some sort of discount for the hotels because last or this year, say last year they, their price for the room was like more than if you just booked it direct, which doesn't make any sense, I think, because maybe because it was refundable potentially.
Speaker ABut I will speak to them over the next coming weeks and say, you know, can we have some rooms at discount a price please?
Speaker ABecause we're going to have a lot of people because there were so many people that stayed in the hotel.
Speaker AOh yeah.
Speaker AIt just made it nice because everyone had a drink with each other before and after and it was definitely just.
Speaker AJust an absolutely lovely day and, and I couldn't have, I couldn't have made it go any better and more well received if we try.
Speaker AWhich is why do it again?
Speaker ABecause we've the, you know, there was some feedback on there that maybe I'd crammed too many speakers in.
Speaker AI'd probably give you too much, which is, you know, a good thing to have.
Speaker ASo, yeah, it's not a bad issue.
Speaker ANo, it's not a bad issue to have.
Speaker ABut what we're going to do next year is it's going to be the same format, same layout, but we're going to have slightly less speakers.
Speaker ABut you're going to have to slightly.
Speaker AYeah, yeah.
Speaker ABecause a lot of people said we would have liked longer with that speaker to be able to ask questions afterwards.
Speaker ASo we're going to make their slots bigger and just have a couple less speakers so that you've got more breaks in between so that you can mingle and network.
Speaker ABut you still.
Speaker AIt's a the same layout as last week.
Speaker CBecause I know that Vicky and me was just so excited and sometimes I have to reinviki in.
Speaker CLike, I say this, guys, I mean it.
Speaker CLike, Vic gets all these because she's so passionate about it, like we both are and she wants to make it amazing.
Speaker CAnd she was saying, oh, you know, we should do more of an interactive afternoon with these roundtables and get people mingling more.
Speaker CSo I have the speakers in the morning and.
Speaker CBut I had to remind her that actually, like, we would have to.
Speaker CI wish I had the feedback cards.
Speaker CWe were at home, like the pile of amazing.
Speaker CNot one person said that the conference, the way it was laid out in the organization, could have been improved.
Speaker CSo actually, why change it?
Speaker CEverybody's loved it.
Speaker CSo we're going to keep it.
Speaker ABut do other smaller events that will be a bit more interactive and a bit more handsome.
Speaker ABecause I do think it would, you know, it would help.
Speaker AAnd whether we do a north and south one again, all to be confirmed.
Speaker ABut what my aim is at the minute is to finesse what we have and make that the best it could possibly be before we start because someone asked me if we could do one in Ireland and, you know, there's no reason why we can't.
Speaker ABut I just want to finesse what we have first before we start duplicating.
Speaker CEnding it.
Speaker AYeah.
Speaker A103rd of October.
Speaker AIf you were an attendee this year, whether it was online or in person, whether.
Speaker AEven if you couldn't make it, you do have an exclusive discount to get the early Bird tickets.
Speaker AYeah.
Speaker CAs a thank you.
Speaker AThe thank you.
Speaker ASo you will get money off you've had.
Speaker AIf you're in the WhatsApp group, the link's in there.
Speaker AIf you're in the private Facebook group, the link is in there.
Speaker AAnd you've also had an email with the link on as well.
Speaker AThere are only 10 tickets left for those.
Speaker AOnce they're gone, they're gone.
Speaker AAnd then you're shaking your head about if I've gone.
Speaker CNo, no, I was just.
Speaker AYou know what?
Speaker CI think it's just because again, all the emotion like last night, we only put it out into the WhatsApp group, the Facebook group and the mail list for the 2025 attendees to get there.
Speaker CSo it's like come to them first is like a thank you for attending, get a little cheap discount and like the fact that there's only 10 left.
Speaker CLike they've just again, it just shows how much everyone's loved it and it's just like.
Speaker CSo I can't put it into words.
Speaker CLike it is just quite how much we appreciate it that people want to return.
Speaker ASo there's 10 of those left.
Speaker ASo if you are a current attendee, then please check out that code and get them before they all disappear because once the 75 are gone, they're gone.
Speaker AAnd then the general release tickets will go on sale on Sunday at 7pm and the price of the ticket is £189.
Speaker AThat's including VATs and nothing extra.
Speaker AAnd again you will get breakfast, lunch, the goodie bags, the speakers and you'll also get a copy of the recordings afterwards.
Speaker ASo those of you who attended, you're going to get an email tomorrow with a link and it'll take you to a platform that will have all of the online speakers and all of the in person speakers broke up so you don't have to watch the whole day again and you have access to those for 12 months.
Speaker ASo exactly the same.
Speaker AAbsolute bargain.
Speaker AWe're going to bring back three of the speakers from this year to next year just because of the amount of good feedback that we had and the.
Speaker CFact that everyone's absolutely made it secret now, aren't we?
Speaker CWe're going to keep it for secret.
Speaker AWell, because I did put it in the outside.
Speaker ACreep.
Speaker CHonestly, she can't help herself.
Speaker CClaire, fast.
Speaker CWhat the price is.
Speaker CClaire, that did attention, what's the price of the first 75 people?
Speaker CSo 65.
Speaker CYes, you can get 24 pounds off.
Speaker ASo Claire, if you're in that WhatsApp group, there's a code in there to put in the checkout to get that discount.
Speaker AWhat was the same?
Speaker CThere was 165 for the 10 left for the 2025 attendees.
Speaker COnce they're gone, they're gone.
Speaker CAnd then generally yes.
Speaker ASo everyone who did attend will get an email tomorrow with a link to go and watch all of the recordings back and it'll have, you'll have a copy of those until the next expo and then if you come to the 2026 again, you'll have access to all of the recordings as well.
Speaker ASo you're not having to frantically write everything down and everything will be the same.
Speaker AThe goodie bags, the food, the drinks and our sparkly faces.
Speaker AWhat More could you ask for?
Speaker AIt's a business expense, peoples, so put it on the business.
Speaker AThere's still payment plans available so you can split the cost over three months.
Speaker AIf you're a client and you want it maybe slightly longer than three months, then drop us an email, see what we can do.
Speaker AAnd yeah, all your travel, your accommodation, everything is an allowable expense.
Speaker ASo make sure you put it on the business.
Speaker ABut only a couple of drinks.
Speaker ANot Laura's trays of shots.
Speaker COh yeah, I think, I think between Emily, who's our admin that was there with us and Laura and Alicia who are clients, good friends and attendees of the expo, I think between them they.
Speaker AHad about six trays of shots and.
Speaker CThey'Ll try and get the receipts and I was like, nope.
Speaker ASo Claire left the WhatsApp group.
Speaker ANo, the WhatsApp group.
Speaker AStill going, Claire.
Speaker AIt's thriving in there.
Speaker AGet yourself back.
Speaker CDo you want me to add you back in?
Speaker AGlad you're back in.
Speaker AIf you want to be back in.
Speaker CIt is good Claire, because everyone's writing like ask each of her questions on how to like, you know, I know we need to put my prices up but how do I word that?
Speaker CAnd you know this no show's happened and how do I combat that?
Speaker CSo it wasn't something we're planning on keeping open, but it just with how lovely everybody's supporting each other and we're getting all this feedback, it's just we're going to keep that open until next.
Speaker AYear, probably general Release Sunday at 7pm we will.
Speaker AIf all the Early Bird tickets go, which I'm sure they will do, there'll be 125 tickets left.
Speaker AWe cannot go over 200 so there's no, oh, you know, we might add a few more later on literally at capacity.
Speaker ASo if you want a ticket, please, please grab it as soon as you can.
Speaker ALike I said, there are payment options on there so you can spread the payment out.
Speaker AI get that it's near Christmas so not the most ideal time, but like I said, you can split the payment over three and even if you get the Early Bird one or the standard price, there will be online versions as well because that had such good feedback as well from the people who watched it online.
Speaker ASo that if you can't make it for whatever reason or you don't like traveling or you don't drive or whatever.
Speaker CChildren, it's not A lot of people have said the home board in next year they've booked in clients and you can't get there Would love to be there.
Speaker CYou've not got to miss out, you can watch it and, and the feedback's been really good because you were saying that Lorna, the lady was doing all our lives.
Speaker ABig shout out to her.
Speaker AShe runs my or my events and she recorded and videoed and live streamed the whole thing and it was amazing.
Speaker ASo big shout out to her and I think she does stuff for weddings as well.
Speaker ASo give her a shout out if you, if you need someone that just very, very good organizer.
Speaker AShe kept me on my toes the whole day and was telling me what to do and shout out to everyone, which was great.
Speaker ASo yes, it will be live streamed and the tickets for the online tickets will go on sale in the new year just to give us a bit of a breather but because we know that everyone has said they want a ticket for next year's and we're going to release the general release on Sunday, like I said.
Speaker ASo make sure you get your hands on them because once they're gone, they're gone and I can't get any more.
Speaker CSunday at 7 o'.
Speaker CClock.
Speaker CSo we'll put it on the Pet Prox for Instagram, Facebook.
Speaker CWe'll be putting it on the Pet Accounting Instagram, Facebook and the Pet Accounting Group, which I know that this, that you're watching now you'll either be watching on the Pet account Facebook page or.
Speaker AHave a look on the Pet Pro Expo Facebook page because there's going to be, there's lots of videos on there from the weekend.
Speaker AThere's going to be lots of photos.
Speaker AYou know, we're going to share everyone's wins with you and how they found it and we're going to show that.
Speaker ASo if you're a bit on the fence, then go and check out the page, check out the Instagram or even our social media because it'll all be on there and you're going to get a lot more over the next coming days of how people found it and stuff like that.
Speaker ASo it's definitely, definitely worth doing.
Speaker AIt was just amazing.
Speaker ALike, I know obviously we're biased, but if you read the feedback yourselves, which we'll publish later on this week and then you'll read it for, for yourself.
Speaker AIt was such a good day.
Speaker AAnd we're going to have, like I said before, we're gonna have three speakers back from this year because people wanted them back and then we're gonna have a few more four or five new speakers with doing different topics and they will be released as and when we decide to release them.
Speaker ABut I've got, I think number one today.
Speaker ASpoke to a lovely lady today and I think she's definitely going to be on the roster for next year.
Speaker CRecommended by one of our returning speakers.
Speaker AYeah, I tried to get certain individual everyone requested last for last weekend, but he's very, very hard to pin down.
Speaker ASo I'm just waiting to hear about working on him.
Speaker AWell, let's see if he's actually in the country then.
Speaker ABut he'd be very, very good.
Speaker ASo, yeah, there's lots going on in the background and different topics that we're going to get that are going to help you personally and also you in the business.
Speaker ASo we're going to focus on both or if we just want to come and have a drink, this is it.
Speaker CPeople went for, like, for different reasons.
Speaker CEveryone was there to invest the business.
Speaker CLike, knowledge is power in the day.
Speaker CThat's one of my mottos, knowledge is power.
Speaker CThe more you learn, the better you know, you can grow personally, whether it's working on burnout work, life balance, to help yourself or to actually implement new business to earn more money, like that is our goal is to help you and your business.
Speaker ABut there's other people that are just.
Speaker CSaying that, you know, the fine running the business, quite a lonely place and come in here to meet other pet professionals and make them, you know, bonds, relationships, support each other.
Speaker CAnd then that is just becoming evident because of the WhatsApp group and how much people are continuing it on.
Speaker CSo, yeah, if you think in you want to meet other professionals or you want to like grow your business and earn more money, either way, the Pet Pro Expo, I know we're going to be biased, but it's, it is the place to be because.
Speaker CAnd like I say, you know, hanging out.
Speaker ASo loads of people got FOMO over the weekend because they were like, I wish I bought a ticket because.
Speaker AAnd we get it.
Speaker AYou know, it's never been done before.
Speaker AIt's a bit sort of like, do I risk spending that much money?
Speaker AYou know, just wait and see what happened.
Speaker CAnd actually, unknown isn't there.
Speaker APeople had friends ring them up going, how was it?
Speaker AAnd then they were, oh, which I bought a ticket.
Speaker AI've missed it.
Speaker ASo don't get fomo.
Speaker AGet yourself a ticket either today or on Sunday for general release.
Speaker AClaire, if you want to take it, make sure you get the code and it'll be in the Facebook group as well.
Speaker AIf you can't remember the code, let us know and I'll text it to you.
Speaker ABut yeah, I think we will probably get a sellout crowd this year, next year, which would be amazing.
Speaker AAnd we'll hopefully do every year and it'll get bigger and better.
Speaker AAnd yeah, we'll give you feedback on next year after our little tweaks.
Speaker ABut we will release the speakers as we get them.
Speaker ABut we're not going to tell you straight away because it'll be a secret.
Speaker AYeah.
Speaker CAnd I'm just quickly make sure we've covered some of these comments.
Speaker CSo Helen, lovely Helen's going to say that she'll be there next year probably in the diary it goes, keep an eye out then for Sunday, 7 o' clock for the tickets and then we've got waggies, waggy walks and cozy.
Speaker COh, Cuddles, that's a cute name.
Speaker CJust saying that.
Speaker AWe were talking about it for bloody months.
Speaker AI know.
Speaker CAll over our social media.
Speaker CBut if people are looking out for it, I guess that much on your news feeds and stuff, you may have.
Speaker AMissed it on the lead up because.
Speaker CI see you sold as well.
Speaker AThis is.
Speaker CYeah.
Speaker AAnd so probably our fault as well.
Speaker ABut it'll be everywhere.
Speaker ANow get yourself on the.
Speaker AThe Pet Practical Facebook page because we'll put a lot of updates on there.
Speaker AWe will, we will.
Speaker CAnd then you're just saying when will the ticket.
Speaker CWhere will the tickets be for sale?
Speaker CSo there will be links.
Speaker AWe have.
Speaker ADon't tell everyone because otherwise everyone's going to go there now and then Sunday.
Speaker ASo we will tell you how to get the tickets on.
Speaker CYeah, you just saved me then.
Speaker AOtherwise there'll be a sneaky peaky that figures it out.
Speaker AIf you figure it out and you buy one.
Speaker AGood on you.
Speaker AIf you figure it out.
Speaker ABut we're not going to tell you where it is.
Speaker CYeah, I'll keep my lip seal.
Speaker CNo worries.
Speaker AOkay.
Speaker CIs that everybody?
Speaker CSo yeah, I think that was just really the questions I had.
Speaker CThere is.
Speaker CSo tickets, general release tickets are going on sale Sunday, 7 o', clock, first come, first serve.
Speaker CThere's 125 for sale.
Speaker COnce they sell out, we are at.
Speaker A200 capacity bird ones and then the general release happens and all the tickets go.
Speaker AThen it is what it is.
Speaker ASo yeah.
Speaker COkay, so because we have had to limit the early bird, the, the.
Speaker AWhat's the word?
Speaker CThe exclusive discount for the 2025 attendees.
Speaker CSo like I said that they're the ones only have 10 left.
Speaker CSo if you were a 2025 attendee.
Speaker AYeah.
Speaker CThere's a couple of different payment options.
Speaker CI don't know if we've Covered that.
Speaker AYou can do bank transfer, Google pay, Apple pay, credit card, Klarna, or email us.
Speaker AYeah.
Speaker CAnd then we can.
Speaker CYeah, you did mention that earlier.
Speaker ALoads of ways to pay.
Speaker CYeah.
Speaker CSo I think that's everything.
Speaker CI just wanted to obviously mention my highlight of the day.
Speaker CI think probably everybody's highlight.
Speaker CHave you got it?
Speaker CHave you got it with you?
Speaker COkay.
Speaker CDo you want to tell everybody kind of what happened in the intro?
Speaker AWe have a lovely client called Kevin, and every year when we go to Crufts, he always brings me a T shirt.
Speaker AAnd the very first year we did it, he had a T shirt that said, hashtag, don't need an accountant.
Speaker ABecause it was a joke I made on here and he wasn't expecting me to take it off him, so I took it off him that day and he had to walk around cruffs at his vest.
Speaker ASo it became a bit of a thing.
Speaker AWhenever he sees me, he brings me a T shirt, but he wears clothes underneath this time.
Speaker AAnd because obviously we were a bit nervous at the beginning and I saw Kevin walk in in this bright red T shirt that had the ticket printed out on the front of it.
Speaker ARight.
Speaker AI obviously spotted him.
Speaker AAnd as part of the intro, I said, you know, people say, you've got a picture everyone naked and it'll make you feel better.
Speaker AAnd I said, right, Kevin, where are you?
Speaker AAnd as I walked towards Kevin, Lorna played a hot chocolate sexy thing and Tegan started shouting, take it off, take it, take it off.
Speaker CAnd then I was going, come on, Kevin, give me the.
Speaker ASwinging it round his head.
Speaker AAnd then I got the T shirt.
Speaker ASo it has become a bit of a theme of what is Kevin going to wear next?
Speaker ASo hopefully next Kevin is returning next year back.
Speaker ASo we can all see, see what T shirt Kevin has got planned for the next expo and we'll see if we can make him strip again.
Speaker ABut he did have a shirt underneath this time.
Speaker CSpecial thanks to Kevin for always making.
Speaker AUs making a little bit more relaxed.
Speaker AYeah, so we do have a bit of a giggle there as well.
Speaker AIt's not all.
Speaker CIt's not a corporate conference and people have said that as well.
Speaker CIt's a relaxed vibe.
Speaker CLike, you know, we are is professional.
Speaker CYou get lots of information there, expert speakers.
Speaker CBut I think especially me and you, you know, hosting it and then like introduce everything between.
Speaker CWe try and make it as relaxed and comical as we can.
Speaker CI think the second I dropped my cards and we looked at each other and we went, you ain't.
Speaker AShe dropped hers and someone said, we.
Speaker CWere like a comedy act together.
Speaker CI think we are on the PET account anyway, the amount of giggle fits that we have.
Speaker CSo we barrel off each other and I think it's funny.
Speaker ANext year we'll be a bit less nervous and it'll flow Pet.
Speaker CI thought I was really nervous, guys.
Speaker AAnd I've watched video, looked fine.
Speaker AI was all over the place.
Speaker ABut yeah, must have been though.
Speaker CI said I should.
Speaker AOh, who's.
Speaker CI think that's the team's giving big.
Speaker AThank you just before we go to everyone who attended, obviously the sponsors that helped us do the event.
Speaker ASo Tug Enough Low Pay Animal Folks alliance and the Paw Pal Pet care app.
Speaker ABecause without their help it might not have been as good as it was.
Speaker ASo a big shout out to them.
Speaker AYeah.
Speaker AAnd obviously all the speakers as well that made the way down through Storm Claudia to the stage.
Speaker ABig banking to those as well.
Speaker APretty Storm Claudia, but hopefully because it's the 3rd of October next year it'll be slightly lighter and there'll be no storms.
Speaker AGlad it wasn't this Saturday with all the snow.
Speaker ASo we found it.
Speaker AWell, we did, yeah.
Speaker ABut other than that, we will leave you guys to it.
Speaker AAs always, make sure that you subscribe to the Pet Accountant podcast and watch all of our social medias.
Speaker AWe're everywhere.
Speaker AAnd just if you're not on the PetroExpo page, make sure you go and follow that for any updates.
Speaker AAnd if you are listening to this and you want the ticket, they will drop on the 7pm on Sunday with the link.
Speaker AIf you find out and figure out where the link is before then a manage to buy a ticket, then you can do so.
Speaker AIf there's any detectives out there that might figure out where it is.
Speaker ABut we'll leave that and we'll see if anyone manages it because it'll pop up.
Speaker AOther than that, if you are an attendee, make sure that you use the early bird discount code before Sunday to get that money off.
Speaker AThat's it.
Speaker CYeah.
Speaker CThank you guys.
Speaker CYeah, thank you very much for having me, Vic.
Speaker AAnd if you've got any questions, please let us know.
Speaker ABut we'll.
Speaker CWe do have a Pet Pro Expo email address.
Speaker AOh, yes.
Speaker AIf you've got any queries, we do have a direct email address which is infoetproexpo.co.uk.
Speaker CYeah, I know, obviously, yeah.
Speaker CClients and attendees, I know they've been used to emailing the petals and the PET account, but obviously we're dealing with all our PET account clients and the accounts and everything on there.
Speaker CSo what we're asking is anything related to the Pet Pro Expo, email that email address and then it will be action and dealt with a bit quicker by email in there.
Speaker CAnd so, yeah, fabulous.
Speaker CAny questions, let us know.
Speaker CThanks for coming, thanks for showing your interest being here and I will see.
Speaker AYou and we'll see you next week.

Speaker ABut we've got that joy to look forward to.
Speaker ABut we will be back and we'll have a live going through all of the different bits and bobs on the budget that obviously can be relevant.
Speaker CSo get your mum on to discuss the budget with you on the podcast.
Speaker CVic.
Speaker ANo, Jude does not need to come on here because she'd be on for about five hours ranting, ranting, ranting about.
Speaker CThe budget, the government, all sorts.
Speaker AYeah.
Speaker ABut she did get a winter fuel allowance which is all good.
Speaker ABut yes, other than that, we'll catch you up next week.
