Welcome back guys to another episode today is going to be so good. We're diving into one of the biggest lessons I learned here in 2021. As I reflect to the end of the year, it's November, we're almost at Thanksgiving as I'm recording this and it's time to look back. It's time to reflect on the year and take everything that we've done as feedback. And look at what we want for the upcoming year, the upcoming months and bring it to life in a way that we haven't ever done before. But with that, as I was doing this, I was like, this was like a really big lesson I had learned in 2021 in February, this upcoming, February of 2022, I will be in business for five years. And this past year I learned something. That I want to pour into you because I just think it's really important. And I don't think many of us are having this conversation. And I often think it gets overlooked when we're growing and we grow rapidly, especially in the work that we do marketing on social media. We have the ability to grow so quickly and that's so incredible, but I think that what we get caught up in sometimes. Constantly searching for the next thing. That's going to get us to the next level. And while I believe you guys know, I am an avid believer in investing in support. In whatever that looks like in whatever season you're in and your business, I'm continually investing in myself and my business, mentors, masterminds, et cetera, always expanding and always allowing myself to be supported, held, and safe and guided to that next level. Like for me, it's been imperative to my growth and that's something you guys know, I openly share with you. I don't always believe that we need the next strategy to get to the next level, because really, if you're running your business and you've, you've taken the time to properly scale, it there's proper strategies to do so. And I believe every business model is going to look different. However, we do want to take the proper time energy strategies to properly scale a bit. But with that, once you've hit a certain point, you're like, okay. People know me for what I do. They know the core things that I teach and the results that I can get them in the problems that I solve. And I've got all these different offers and all these different ways people can work with me and I've got recurring revenue and it's stacking and I'm making like dream amounts of money. I'm like, I'm doing it. And then we get to this place and we're like, okay. So let's now. What's next. What's next? What's next. What's next. Right. As driven entrepreneurs is driven women. We like, we cannot sit still, like, I don't know about you, but like I can not sit still. It's more uncomfortable for me to sit and say, sit still and do the same things than it is for me to like, do something I've never done before. Right. Because we are really addicted to growth and more. Achieving and creating the impossible, right? The things that we once thought were impossible. We want to go after them. Right. And so this last year, something I've really tapped into is a beginner's mentality. And that alone has allowed me to expedite. The results and growth in my business. And that's something I wanted to pour into you because oftentimes we're constantly seeking the next great thing to do or learn in business. And again, learn the things grow, get more certifications, invest in more mentors, whatever it might be that you desire, learn the things, do the things. Yes. Get new strategies, but beginner's mentality. Will literally change your life and your business. And I wanted to have a conversation about this, because think about when you first started your business, when you first created that LLC, when you first had the idea of like, oh, I'm going to be a business owner, I'm going to like, take my passion, this thing that I love so much, and I'm gonna create a business out of it and I'm going to like help people and I'm going to make money. Do. Right. There was like this energy, this excitement, this like, holy crap, I'm doing something. So flipping amazing. And I want to share something. When I started my business, I often get asked, how was I so successful so quickly. I hit six figures in my first year, my first month of business, where there was a 12 K cash month. I will always share this transparency with you. Was it all flowers and roses and easy? No, no. However, I was successful very early on and the reason why, and this is where beginner's mentality is so important. When I started my business, I didn't know that I could fuck it up. I didn't know like that. Like, wasn't even a thought that crossed my mind. And I want you to think about that too. When you first started your business and there was like this genuine kid, like Christmas morning, kind of jitters of like, oh my God, I'm going to start a business when they're going to leave my full-time job. And I'm going to like, change the world. Right. And when we start our businesses, we usually aren't looking for that external validation and we're not looking for proof that it won't work and it might sound naive. But like when I started my business, there was no belief that it wouldn't work out. I like didn't know that it couldn't work out. So I just like believed, now I could do this. I could make money. I could sell the thing. And that's literally what I want to pour into you is that beginner's mentality of belief of everything that you do and create and bring to life and have ideas for and sell can work. But so often as we're doing this longer and we see, and we experience things that may not work, the quote unquote failed the law. The quote, unquote, no one's buying from me. No, one's engaging with me. My engagement sound, all these things throughout the year or years of business that can tear us down, start to dwindle in disbelief and start to dwindle in. Can I really do this? Can it be this good? Can I hit my goals? Can I make money? Can I make the money I want to, can I leave my nine to five? And then we start seeking external validation to make us feel good enough. And then we start trying to prove our disbelief with belief and that's where things can feel like, Hmm, this feels harder than it should. I really know. It's like, isn't feeling as exciting as it once was. And that's because we step out of that. Beginner's mentality of just believing. That it'll work. And this is where I was reflecting back on those early stages of my business and what I did and what I was doing. And I had invested in a group program that was the first investment I ever made in my business, showed up to every single call in that program. Every single call I showed up for, I made the time I leaned into the support I posted in there. I asked questions and I executed, I didn't second guess I didn't say what if it doesn't work out. What if people don't buy, I just showed up without thinking, without talking myself out of it without worrying will people judge me. I did the things I followed through. I made commitments to myself and I followed through therefore I saw results. And this past year, I really adapted back to that beginner's mentality because it works. And so often it's so easy. We just talked about this on the last episode, if you haven't listened to that one, I highly recommend you listen to the episode before this one, where we look for these external things. And we spend so much time on social media and scrolling and looking at what everyone else is doing. And it simply doesn't matter. It literally doesn't matter, but it does matter what your doing and how you're doing it and the belief you have behind it. And that's where like, mindset coaches are really helpful and important to have. That's where journaling is a great thing to do and implement mindset things to do behind the scenes of the business, staying in the flow and energy. Is really important. And I'm not saying that we're going to feel 100% all the time. That's not true, but doing that work behind the scenes to stay in the belief will alter your results. It will yield the result that you ultimately desire, because here's the thing. If you believe you can do it, if you believe it's possible, if you believe you can achieve it, you'll naturally take the action to make it happen. You will. But if we're sitting in, I don't know if it's possible. My last launch only got five people in, how can I get 10 people in my last, um, program didn't sell at all. Nobody bought the last time I opened up one-to-one nobody even messaged me what our brains do. And just so you're aware of this. Once we start creating data. And feedback on things that we've done before, right? Our brains recognize that as, oh, this is familiar. You've done this before. Here's what the predicted outcome is going to. Even if it's an outcome, you don't desire. Even if something that's happened in business, you're like, I really like I could live without that happening again. I like, I don't want that to happen again. I'm good. We're going to skip that. Your brain will naturally say, oh, well, Michelle, you had five people join that program last time. So five are probably going to join again, even though I desire 10 and my energy is behind 10. It's normal that my brain is going to default and start believing only 500. Because our brains can, can only look at things that have happened as fact. Right. And that's where it's really important to be mindful of the things that you were thinking and telling yourself and stepping back into that beginner's mindset. Because when you started this thing, you didn't know, you could fuck it up. You didn't know that you could create a different outcome that maybe you want, or don't. And do you see where that's so powerful? And that's where this past year really stepped into everything that I've sold, even though their programs, like I've got a solid products. We have offers that launch continually and you guys know me for, and every time I sell those things, it's normal for my brain say, oh, this is what happened. The last time you sold this and to default into, Ooh, that's going to be the same result that you get again. But I then have to step into, well, this time is different and this is going to yield a different outcome because I desire a different outcome and that is possible. And that's something I wanted to pour into you because it will change the way in which you show up for everything that you do when you aren't relying on past experiences, or you're not comparing to past things you've done. And this is going to apply for literally. All the years of business, this mentality is, is going to allow you to grow so much more in business. And it's also going to help you move quicker in business. But we tend to overlook this and we tend to overlook the things we learned and the things we did early on in business. And that doesn't mean that everything you learned early on is going to. Serve you now know there's a lot of things I don't do now that I learned early on and that's just facts, but there's a lot of things that you did learn and things that you do know and who you were that will serve you and growing and scaling your business without having to need a brand new strategy. Or a brand new thing. And that's when we so often look outside for too much external validation of, okay, this isn't working the way in which I desire it to. How can I change everything I've ever done before? And sometimes, yeah, the business needs an overhaul and a change for sure. But most of the time, if it's working, if you're making money, If you're hitting goals and, or are close to your goals, we can look at that and say, okay, this is really good data. We know that this is working. How can we make this work better? And chances are, we have to get behind it more. We've got to adapt to that beginner's mentality again. And this is where, when you can take that beginner's mindset. That belief behind everything that you do is going to work out and it's going to work out exactly how you desire it to you'll you'll show up completely differently. The results in your business will be completely different. And this is where I want to invite you as we're reflecting and looking at the end of the year. And I know, especially if you're listening, I know you have really big goals. I know as we head into December and we reflect and the new year, you're like, I want to make more money. I'm not done selling for the year. I'm ready to go all the way in. No one stopping you. No one. Is stopping you. So whatever that is going all the way in creating the big stretch goal, the UN thinkable, the thing you're not allowing yourself to even go for because you're sitting in disbelief that it hasn't happened before. Get behind it, journal about it. Tell your mentor, your biz, besties, your mastermind sisters about it. Write it down every day, where you can see. Put it on your whiteboard in your office, put on the back, the back screensaver of your phone, put it in your journal, tell your community what you're going for, make it real, make it real and show up for it and get behind it. And when you fully commit, and when you get back into that beginner's mindset, you will be amazed. At what happens. And so one thing I want to leave you with, get your notebooks. I want to leave you with some journal prompts on how to actually do this. Get behind your goals, get back behind the belief of everything that you want and desire so that you can like literally crush it the rest of this year. And as we head into the new year, So something we want to start with when it comes to journaling and reaching these goals and making them come to life and staying in that beginner's mindset. And this was something I learned early on in my business from a previous mentor of mine is I am statements and journaling. If, and sometimes I think journaling gets a bad rap in this industry and something I want to make very clear. I don't journal every day. Most of the time I do, because it just helps. And I think it's an outlet and allows me to stay in my lane, but also, like, it's not like a hard rule and I'm not gonna sit here and say journal every day, even when it feels like shit. No w you guys know that's not what we're here to do. However, journaling can be so transformational when done properly and when done consistently. And so with this first thing I want you to start doing is journaling. I am statements or journaling as if, and so an example of this right now, back in your beginner's mindset, where at the end of the year, heading into the new year, whatever it is you want you to do. Let's pretend and play that your desiring to be a six-figure and or multiple six-figure business owner. We're going to journal things like I am a six figure business owner. I am a multiple six-figure. Business owner. I am so grateful that 2021 was my six figure year in business. I am so grateful at 2022 is already my multiple six figure year. I am a 10 K plus cash earning business owner. And I am so grateful for this. I am someone that is constantly seen and heard and people can't help, but want to work with. I am someone that always sells out her offers and her launches, and always makes money with ease. I am somebody. That completes every single task I set for myself and I always reach the goals that I set for myself. And I am so grateful that I always reach my goals. And then I celebrate after. Do you see the power of that versus saying, I want this, I need this. I want I desire. And like your wants and desires are. But when you can take this a step further and you can affirm these things and you can talk about them as if they've already happened. This is so flipping powerful. And what we're doing here is we're literally calling in your highest self and I challenge you. To be consistent with this. I personally like to journal in the morning. I don't think there's any rules, but personally it's just a part of my morning routine. And it's honestly, when I remember, and I set the tone for the day, but you could just, at the end of the day, the middle of the day, if you're feeling in a funk, a dunk, you can literally do this right in the middle of the day to kind of snap back out of the things that you're kind of feeling. If you're in the middle of a launch, Do this, write this shit down that you actually want. It's so easy to prepare for worst case scenario and sit in the shit that we don't want. And so this is a really great way to be mindful of the thoughts that are coming up and what you actually want and affirm them. This will literally change the game. And again, tapping back into that beginner's mindset that we've been talking about now, when journal. Something that we do want to do is I want you to get descriptive and want you to paint a picture. And I don't mean like drawing in your notebook. Of course you can, but like, I'm not an artist. I mean, like paint a picture in your mind, close your eyes for a moment. Even if it's safe right now, as you're listening to me, if you're not driving and a safe to close your eyes, close your eyes. And I want you to feel into the energy that you're calling him. And I want you to focus on the. The 10 K 30 K 50 K a hundred K 500 K, whatever it is, the sold out launch the clients coming into your DMS with ultimate ease, whatever it is that you desire in this moment, content and creativity just pouring out of you, close your eyes, picture it. And then I want you to release that. I want you to release the how in this moment and what I want you to do. I want you to tap into feelings because feelings are really important. So I want you to think about any time in your life. It could be business and or not, where you felt so happy and you trusted yourself and you just knew good things were coming and you like couldn't help, but like smile and feel so good. Could be anything. I want you to go back to those memories, to that one memory, whatever that first thing that just came up in your mind. And I want you to embody those feelings in this moment, that joy, that certainty, that no wing. And I want you to hear what you heard in that moment, and I want you to see what you saw and feel what you felt, where do you feel it in your body? It's in your throat and your stomach and your hands and your feet and your legs and your head, where do you feel it? And I want you to bring this energy into your journaling today and every day, moving forward. I want you to take a moment to sit in the feeling of good. In the feeling of trusting your self in the feeling of knowing I can do this and it can feel good. So that's what I'm going to leave you with today. That's where I want you to start. I want you to commit to it and are going to be consistent because if we want to stay in the quote, unquote high vibes in the flow feeling good. This stuff matters the behind the scenes. Get in your mind in check beginner's mindset. Belief. This matters. Last thing I'm going to leave you with. As you guys know, we are still doing our giveaway.
