We start with winter weather and river flooding.

The National Weather Service says a coastal low exits New England today, but interior Maine still deals with heavy snow while snow squalls fire downwind of the lower Great Lakes.

If you're driving those corridors, watch for sudden whiteouts out west.

Gusty northeast winds ease through the day across Southern California after an overnight peak in western Washington, the Skokomish river stays under a flood warning with moderate flooding forecast.

Low spots near Potlatch typically see water over road shoulders there.

In the tropics, there are no active cyclones in the Atlantic or Eastern Pacific at this time.

Plan for slick roads where lake effect bands set up.

Heed local wind advisories in canyon and pass areas and never drive through floodwaters.

Alaska Primary statewide hazards today are cold wind and localized blowing snow.

No new high impact warnings posted overnight from the Anchorage or Fairbanks forecast offices.

Arizona NWS Phoenix Highlights a wind advisory type setup along the lower Colorado River Valley today with gusts around 25 to 30 miles per hour and 1 to 3 foot waves on Lake Mohave.

Elsewhere, it's breezy and dry with benign fire weather.

California Strong Northeast winds that peaked overnight are easing, but wind advisories remain in effect through 1pm for the i5 corridor, Western Antelope Valley foothills, Ventura county valleys and parts of the San Gabriel range.

Gusts 40-50 mph can still affect high profile vehicles and loft debris.

Earlier high wind warnings across the LA County Mountains have expired.

Maine Interior and northern zones remain under winter headlines as the departing coastal system leaves heavy snow and difficult travel this morning.

NWS Caribou keeps winter storm warnings Winter weather advisories up with marine gale warnings offshore.

New York Lake effect bands and squalls persist east of Lakes Erie in Ontario.

NWS Buffalo keeps a winter weather advisory for the Tug Hill north country into early Tuesday.

Marine gale warnings are posted on Lake Erie nearshore waters today.

Washington A flood warning continues for the Skokomish river at Potlatch in Mason county with moderate flooding expected.

All other states have no significant updates in the last 24 hours.
