I know.
Speaker BHello.
Speaker BWelcome back to another episode of Getting Real with Bossy.
Speaker BWe're your hosts, Kelly and Kelly.
Speaker AHello.
Speaker BHi.
Speaker AIt's so weird we have the same room.
Speaker BWe haven't been in the same space in so long.
Speaker BI'm really excited.
Speaker BWe need to do this more often.
Speaker AI know.
Speaker ALook, if it's perfect, I know my mic ringing.
Speaker BHere we are.
Speaker BI'm gonna be weird the whole time because we're so close to each other.
Speaker BI think we're not close to each other all the time anyway.
Speaker AAnd if the mic falls on us and you hear a scream, maybe I'll cut it out, maybe I won't.
Speaker BYeah, I don't think you should, because that's what real life is and that's what bossy is.
Speaker BWe are real life.
Speaker BBecause real life, bossy, it's what it's like.
Speaker AReal raw and honest.
Speaker BReal raw and honest.
Speaker BSo today we're going to talk about something that is real hot, real hot in business world and pretty controversial, but we're going to break it down as best we can and.
Speaker BAnd it's the world of AI.
Speaker BAnd I think one of my favorite comments about AI came from one of our podcast interviews with John Magnus.
Speaker AOh, that was amazing.
Speaker BAnd we were talking about AI and he said, you know, because he does a lot of graphic design work and he's like, I'm not really nervous about it because.
Speaker BAnd I forget.
Speaker BI wish I had.
Speaker AHe used a synthesizer.
Speaker BYeah.
Speaker BAnd it was like people like talking about orchestras and when, like the, when the keyboards came out and like, oh, it's gonna ruin orchestras.
Speaker BAnd like, no, there's still, there's still orchestras.
Speaker BThere's things that can do, there's, you know, these things that are creative that can do all of these things, but those, all of those, those things are still going to exist.
Speaker AWe should also preface, before we get into the episode, that we are well aware of the horrific ecological impact of AI on the world.
Speaker AIt is not green, even though it feels like it, because we're using a computer that has minimal energy.
Speaker AI believe, According to my 15 year old daughter, every time you say please to AI, it's dumping a bottle of water out of water out.
Speaker BYes.
Speaker ASo we understand this is not great for the environment.
Speaker AWe really hope that some things can be done to make it better for the world because it does offer so many great things, especially for small business owners specifically.
Speaker ABut even personal lives.
Speaker AAnd we'll talk about that too.
Speaker ABut yeah, maybe they can use gray water to cool the systems because for those that don't know when you.
Speaker AEvery time that the system turns on and creates an answer, it gets so hot that they have to run water over it or run water through the system to cool it down.
Speaker BInteresting.
Speaker ASo that's why it's so bad for the environment, is because it is using way too much water.
Speaker AAnd water is not something have a lot of.
Speaker AEspecially if you live out on the west coast.
Speaker AYou understand where we are.
Speaker AWe're very fortunate.
Speaker AAnd I think we often forget.
Speaker BRight.
Speaker AHow the rest of the world and freshwater are.
Speaker ASo with that being said.
Speaker BWell, and also, it is taking.
Speaker BIt's not ne.
Speaker BMaybe it has taken the place of jobs, but it is doing certain jobs.
Speaker AThat duolingo is going complete.
Speaker AWell, not complete, but mostly AI they're getting rid of everybody.
Speaker BRight.
Speaker AI mean, who's going to program the angry face to.
Speaker ATo tell my kids to learn their Spanish?
Speaker BRight.
Speaker BBut it's here to stay, and we're going to show you some ways that you can utilize it to help your small business.
Speaker BAnd as we do with a lot of things, we put it out to our bossy universe and we're going to talk about the things that they're doing, from the really intelligent to the downright silly ways that we're using AI to get through our day.
Speaker AAnd sometimes we needed to laugh.
Speaker BYeah.
Speaker AAnd I think that's funny.
Speaker BBut now I'm nervous about the ecological impact.
Speaker BI didn't realize that when I tried to make it make me into a superhero when I was having a really bad day from.
Speaker BNot as much as I should.
Speaker ARight.
Speaker BBut.
Speaker AOkay, what do you got over here, Kelly?
Speaker BAll right, so just for fun, I went to ChatGPT, which is the AI that I know the best, and asked them to write an episode for us.
Speaker BAnd it wrote a whole episode, which is funny because, you know, I had AI write an episode about AI and it came out with an entire episode.
Speaker BI don't know if I can make this.
Speaker BYou're watching.
Speaker BProbably not so easy.
Speaker BAnd they wrote an episode for us.
Speaker BAI for the rest of us.
Speaker BHow small businesses can work smarter, not harder.
Speaker AI love working smarter, not harder.
Speaker BIt's one of my favorite things.
Speaker BYeah.
Speaker ASo thank you, AI.
Speaker BYeah.
Speaker BSo it has a whole outline.
Speaker BWe can go over this a little.
Speaker BKind of stick to this.
Speaker ASure, let's do it.
Speaker BChat GPT and go over what we've gotten from our Boss universe.
Speaker BSo, A.I.
Speaker Bwhat is it?
Speaker BWhat is it not?
Speaker AOkay, so one thing I also don't know that a lot of people know about AI is that it's behind.
Speaker ASo there's two things that I like to try to keep in my mind when I'm using it.
Speaker AI think we all know what it is.
Speaker AIt's a computer algorithm just pulling information to come up with an answer for everything that's out there in the Internet.
Speaker ABut it has to be uploaded.
Speaker BSo.
Speaker ASo the Internet has to be uploaded into AI.
Speaker ASo I believe somewhere it tells you what year it was last updated.
Speaker ASo I assume right now there's a lot of stuff going on politically and throughout the world that AI might not be up to date on because it's all changing so fast.
Speaker BI'm looking, I'm trying to see if I can find out as you're talking.
Speaker AYeah.
Speaker ASo you have to be careful that you're using the most recent data and information because it is something that has to be fully implemented and uploaded.
Speaker BRight.
Speaker AThe other thing is it pulls the.
Speaker ANot the correct answer.
Speaker AIt pulls the most popular answer.
Speaker ASo if the incorrect answer is getting talked about the most, that's the answer you're going to get.
Speaker ASo make sure you use your resources.
Speaker AIf you're using it for anything that you need to be on point for and referenced.
Speaker AIf you're going to use it, make sure that you're pulling resources to verify that information.
Speaker ABecause like I said, if the incorrect thing is the most popular, it is not.
Speaker BIt is not the Encyclopedia Britannica.
Speaker ANo.
Speaker BFor you kids of the 80s, it is a tool.
Speaker BAnd I'm finding now, you know, I ask, you know, my staff, like, look up, look up, tell me, give me information.
Speaker BAnd it's the first thing that comes up in Google or I'm sure whatever other search engines there are.
Speaker BI'm like, no, no.
Speaker BIt even says right there, it's AI.
Speaker BLike, this is not necessarily information.
Speaker BThis is a tool.
Speaker BThis is giving you information.
Speaker BYou actually have to find facts.
Speaker BYou have to fact find.
Speaker BAnd you know, that's getting more and more difficult.
Speaker BThe Internet is getting more and more difficult to find actual factual information.
Speaker BYou really got to dig deep.
Speaker BIt's not the first, second or third thing that's popping up now.
Speaker AI do like that.
Speaker AThis introduction gave us two to three minutes and we are only on bullet point one.
Speaker BExactly.
Speaker AAnd obviously hasn't listened to our show.
Speaker BNo.
Speaker AWhy do small businesses care is something we're supposed to talk about, according to AI, because it makes your life easier and it's free.
Speaker BRight.
Speaker BIt says, why does it care even if you don't think you're techie?
Speaker ABecause it's Easy.
Speaker BIt's easy.
Speaker BSo any business can benefit from AI.
Speaker BIf you're retail, you can utilize AI to really do a great description for your product.
Speaker BIf you're selling online, it's great to use.
Speaker BGive me some catchy words to describe this product that I'm selling.
Speaker BI've utilized it for social media posts when I just can't find the words to figure out what it is I'm trying to say.
Speaker BWhich as you know, if you've listened before, happens to me all the time.
Speaker BUm, not that often I feel like it, but thanks, I appreciate it.
Speaker BStruggling.
Speaker ASo what was your favorite first use of AI.
Speaker BLike fun or business wise?
Speaker BI think I had to do a.
Speaker BLike I liked doing the whole superhero thing and making like my own image of myself.
Speaker BThat was really fun.
Speaker AThat was amazing.
Speaker BThat was a lot of fun and I got to see myself as a superhero and it was very accurate and I really did enjoy that.
Speaker AClose to life because you are.
Speaker AThanks.
Speaker BOne of my.
Speaker BFor my favorite things to do used with AI was to do a PowerPoint presentation.
Speaker BFor a presentation I had to do, I found.
Speaker BI don't even remember what it was, but there was a program where I could just type in all of the information that I wanted for the presentation that I wanted to do.
Speaker BAnd it made this wonderful presentation.
Speaker BIt was fantastic.
Speaker AAwesome.
Speaker BSo it took a.
Speaker BIt still was all of my work.
Speaker BIt was all of my information.
Speaker BI literally had like three or four paragraphs of all the information, all the data that I needed and it put it into this very concise, I don't know, seven or eight slide presentation.
Speaker BKind of like what Canva does.
Speaker BBut this was, it was just so much better.
Speaker BAnd it's just.
Speaker BIt saved me a ton of time and I would have spent hours on this and it was something that I had all the information on.
Speaker BBut you know, when you're, when you're doing that and if you're a small business owner, you're a perfectionist and you get stuck in those little details that really don't matter.
Speaker BNobody sitting through a presentation is like, well, that didn't look very like nobody cares.
Speaker BBut it was, it saved me so much time and that was definitely one of the best moments for me.
Speaker BWhat about you?
Speaker AI did an event and I was writing it up and I just, it wasn't sounding right and I was like.
Speaker AAnd I don't think about it very often because I don't use it very often.
Speaker AAnd I was like, I'm going to dump this into chat GPT.
Speaker AI think because somebody had been talking about it recently.
Speaker ASo it, like, popped in my head, and it created a great description that was way more seamless and less black than mine.
Speaker AAnd then it was like, do you want a flyer to go with that?
Speaker ASo I was like, yes.
Speaker ALike, I didn't know that was an option.
Speaker AAnd it created, like, a PDF flyer that I could use on, like, social media.
Speaker AAnd, like, had.
Speaker AIt was amazing.
Speaker BYeah.
Speaker AAnd the other one is I had to write a resume earlier last week for a panel I was on last minute.
Speaker AThey asked me to join, and I was like, oh, I haven't written a resume in a few years.
Speaker AWhat do I.
Speaker AAnd I've done a lot.
Speaker AAnd I started trying to write my resume, and I was like, but I want it to be, like, this big, because it's just a pantry, right?
Speaker AI couldn't figure it out.
Speaker AAnd finally I was like, I'm gonna go into ChatGPT.
Speaker AAnd I was like, write a resume for Cali Mattress of Rochester, New York.
Speaker AAnd it was like, boom.
Speaker AAnd I think I changed, like, three words, right?
Speaker AThank you.
Speaker AI was like, way better than what I was doing.
Speaker AAnd I was spending so much time, and I was on a time lock.
Speaker ALike, I had to leave and get somewhere.
Speaker AI was freaking out, and I was like, I should use it more often, even though I should feel guilty.
Speaker BRight?
Speaker ASo I don't feel that guilty because I don't use it very often, but I want to use it more.
Speaker ARight?
Speaker BI don't think you have to feel guilty.
Speaker BI think it's just how much you let it do.
Speaker BIt's not.
Speaker BIt's not the last step.
Speaker BAnd I think there's some people that are using it as the last step.
Speaker BYou have to.
Speaker BYou have to.
Speaker BYou have to then go edit, right?
Speaker BThat can't be your.
Speaker BYour final.
Speaker BAll right, you want to do some AI?
Speaker BMyths versus reality.
Speaker AAll right.
Speaker AMyths versus reality.
Speaker BAI is only for tech companies.
Speaker APretty much is a tech company, right?
Speaker BNo, it's used in tools.
Speaker BAI is already in tools.
Speaker BEverybody's using, like, Canva, QuickBooks, and Mailchimp.
Speaker AI have a question for the world.
Speaker BHello.
Speaker AWasn't Google already just giving us the AI answer when we say, what is blah, blah, blah, blah?
Speaker BYeah.
Speaker AAnd now Google says, you know, AI says.
Speaker AAnd I'm like, well, weren't you just AI ing it before?
Speaker APretty much.
Speaker ANow I feel more uncomfortable about it because now it's the time.
Speaker AThis is AI Says.
Speaker AAnd I'm like, but no, I don't like that.
Speaker BRight.
Speaker AI liked it better when you just told me.
Speaker ABut anyways, that's it.
Speaker AI need somebody to call me up and explain the difference.
Speaker BAll right, second myth.
Speaker BSo says chat GPT.
Speaker BIt's going to take our jobs.
Speaker AWell, yeah, some jobs.
Speaker BSome jobs.
Speaker BTrue.
Speaker AI mean, I assume Duolingo is getting rid of lots of jobs.
Speaker AYeah, but.
Speaker BIt takes tasks, not your talent.
Speaker AI like the answer.
Speaker AThank you, Chachi PG for the answer.
Speaker BSo I use a program called Spot Hopper for.
Speaker BFor both restaurants.
Speaker BThey build our.
Speaker BThey built our website and they use AI to generate a month's worth of social media content and emails.
Speaker BI go through because it's not all completely accurate.
Speaker BAnd sometimes it'll look at, you know, so they came through and they did a photo shoot of all of our food, and I told them what every item was.
Speaker BBut then it'll just kind of take a look at.
Speaker BI don't know what day is.
Speaker BYeah.
Speaker BSo look at this sandwich.
Speaker BAnd it'll be like this sandwich.
Speaker BAnd I'll be like the robot.
Speaker BThe robots takes a look at the sandwich and it'll call it something different.
Speaker BAnd I'll have to go in and edit everything.
Speaker BSo that's why it's still just a tool.
Speaker BAnd I have to go through.
Speaker BAnd sometimes it's not really our voice.
Speaker BWe have a very specific voice for each restaurant.
Speaker BSo I do have to go through and edit it, but it does an entire month's worth of content.
Speaker ARight.
Speaker ASo, like, how much time are you saving?
Speaker BHours.
Speaker AYeah.
Speaker AAnd you're getting it done.
Speaker ABecause as a business owner, sometimes there's so many things on your to do.
Speaker BListen, do it.
Speaker AThat you're not going to do those things and you're not going to do them as well.
Speaker BAbsolutely.
Speaker ASo just going to push them out.
Speaker BExactly.
Speaker BSo this is done.
Speaker BI literally sit for about an hour and I get a month's worth of social media content.
Speaker BIt's just editing.
Speaker AI love it.
Speaker BIt's done and it's easy.
Speaker BAnd that's not.
Speaker BThat's not a job I'm eliminating.
Speaker BI would not.
Speaker BI don't have the money to hire somebody to do that.
Speaker BSo it's my.
Speaker BIt's just saving me time.
Speaker ARight.
Speaker AThat is the other thing, too.
Speaker ARight.
Speaker AEspecially.
Speaker AAnd I think a lot about AI helping solopreneurs is like the biggest, I think, help.
Speaker AI mean, it helps all business owners.
Speaker ABut for solopreneurs, people that don't have teams to help them with things like, this is a great resource.
Speaker BRight.
Speaker AI would not feel guilty at all about dumping water out into the world if I was a solopreneur and didn't have a team that I could be like, hey, I need help with this.
Speaker BAbsolutely.
Speaker AAll right, what's.
Speaker AWhat's ChatGPT say we should do next?
Speaker BWhere can AI help?
Speaker BWell, we've already talked about marketing and social media.
Speaker BThere's a bunch of different programs.
Speaker BI don't know a whole lot about them.
Speaker BObviously, Canva, I use a lot.
Speaker BAnd there is magic.
Speaker BWrite in Canva.
Speaker BI'm sure if you've used Canva, you see that pop up.
Speaker BAnd I've definitely used that.
Speaker AEven, like, Eventbrite will like, oh, yeah, for you.
Speaker AYou just like, tell them the small details book now.
Speaker BIt does that now, too.
Speaker BIf you put a picture up, do you want to.
Speaker BDo you want this to be an event and then it'll create an event for you?
Speaker BBut there's also something called Jasper.
Speaker BI don't know about Jasper, but that is listed under the marketing and social media.
Speaker BBut you always.
Speaker BThe pro tip from ChatGPT says, Always add your personality.
Speaker BAI gives you a base, you give it flavor.
Speaker ASo here's a good example.
Speaker AI had AI make me a social media calendar because I was like, I should use these tools more.
Speaker AAnd that social media calendar is in the same place all the rest of the social media calendars I've ever made are, which is on my desk and not getting used.
Speaker ASo I cannot do it for you.
Speaker AThey can do it for you, but you still have to do it for you.
Speaker BAbsolutely.
Speaker BCustomer service.
Speaker BI've heard a lot about this.
Speaker BI don't use it, but there's a lot of AI options you can use to answer phone calls.
Speaker BYou can have them answer emails.
Speaker BI don't use any of them.
Speaker BDo you use any of them?
Speaker AI don't, but I do know somebody that it's very important that people get a response, response right away off of website inquiries.
Speaker AAnd they have it set up that depending on the question you ask, they have like a set series of, like, interactions.
Speaker BRight.
Speaker AThat the bot will do with the customer that's written in their own voice so that they still get the information.
Speaker AIt's just that, you know, they've got two kids and if they're.
Speaker AOr they're working.
Speaker BRight.
Speaker AYou know, and so you're actively working in your business or you're having a social life, God forbid.
Speaker AAt least it's getting.
Speaker AIt's happening.
Speaker AAnd then you get the notification of like, oh, this person reached out.
Speaker ABut you know that they've gotten XYZ, right?
Speaker BYeah.
Speaker BAnswering those FAQs my, my, my immediate.
Speaker AAnswer for communication right now is my vacation setting.
Speaker AI love that I cannot answer my emails all of the time.
Speaker BI don't think people understand how many emails we get a day.
Speaker AI freak out probably twice a day that I got more emails.
Speaker ASo like I know I have emails the first time I open my email and then I like clean out the junk and I address the things and do address and then I check my email later and I'm like, how?
Speaker ABecause I constantly unsubscribe and like filter.
Speaker BI love when my staff use my computer at work and then they, they, they.
Speaker BI don't think they ever understand until they use my computer.
Speaker BLike, you just got like 17 emails, five minutes.
Speaker AI'm like, while I'm answering emails, they're coming in.
Speaker BYeah, yeah.
Speaker AThat is whether people are trying to sell me something and then you have people sell me something in, in my auto reply.
Speaker AIt's like if it's time sensitive or urgent, call me.
Speaker AHere's my cell phone number.
Speaker ALike if you need a catering order for tomorrow that you forgot to place you, I don't want to.
Speaker AI will do it for you.
Speaker ALike here, call me.
Speaker ARight.
Speaker ALike I might not see the email in time and I know you're.
Speaker ABut if you're trying to sell me something and you call me, you just went so far down the line.
Speaker BYeah.
Speaker ALike I.
Speaker AThere is something I do not want to work.
Speaker BReally?
Speaker ATexted me after getting my autoresponse because they're trying to sell me a system and I was like, nope, now I don't really want to talk to you.
Speaker BNot happening.
Speaker AThis is not time sensitive or urgent.
Speaker ASo you just wasted my time which I don't have a lot of.
Speaker BYeah.
Speaker ASo always use your personality.
Speaker AApparently there's an aim.
Speaker AAim.
Speaker AI'm reading two things at once.
Speaker AThere's an AI that can create a CRM.
Speaker BYes.
Speaker AI haven't used it, but that's one of the ways one of our bossy members has used it, which is amazing, innovative content.
Speaker ASo videos and images that you might not have been able to come up with on your own.
Speaker AWe talked about flyers, even fun stuff like it will make jokes for you or create a superhero version of yourself.
Speaker ALike these are all things that you can use in social media.
Speaker AI think I have most.
Speaker ALet's see.
Speaker BYeah.
Speaker AWe talked about the calendar.
Speaker ASome of the stuff is crazy.
Speaker AWe'll get to that later.
Speaker AYeah, I mean that's most of the social media type stuff, right.
Speaker AThat people are using it for, for marketing.
Speaker AIt creates your Emails for you.
Speaker AYou can have auto emails go out.
Speaker AI know even on my POS system, I have auto emails that go out if you come in X times or you don't come in for X months or you spend X dollars.
Speaker ALike each one has a different auto response that goes out.
Speaker BI'm wondering too, now that it's getting more and more common to be able to identify when emails are written by AI.
Speaker BYou know, they always have those icons.
Speaker BI feel like you can kind of tell.
Speaker BSo I'm wondering from you, our listeners, does it feel different when you see those?
Speaker BDoes it make you.
Speaker BDoes it.
Speaker BDo you have a feeling?
Speaker BIs it like stirring up anything?
Speaker BDo you feel like it's less personal?
Speaker BLet us know because I'm interested and I'd like to get that back because, you know, I.
Speaker BWe're using it, those who are using it.
Speaker BIt's because it is helpful and it is a tool.
Speaker BWe're still inputting the information.
Speaker BIt's not like, you know, these things are just coming out of nowhere.
Speaker BSo I'm just curious if that's.
Speaker BIf people are having any reactions to that.
Speaker BSo please let us know.
Speaker BWe'd love to, love to hear from you.
Speaker AAll right.
Speaker AWe talked about AI product subscriptions under ChatGPT would like us to talk about sales and E commerce.
Speaker BYes.
Speaker ASo we talked a little bit about that.
Speaker AThe Shopify site has its own magic incorporation, the CRM.
Speaker AYou can look, you can ask AI to give you SEO and keywords to use in your descriptions.
Speaker AYou can do the same thing for your website, which is really cool, depending on the things that you're trying.
Speaker AAnd you need to, you need to know what the algorithms are up to.
Speaker AYou know, like Google's gotten past the fact that everyone puts in best Mexican restaurant 87,000 times and puts it in their pictures and you can embed it and hide it and all that.
Speaker ASo you have to come up with new, innovative and better keywords and SEO so that you do stand out.
Speaker AAnd that's a great way to use AI, is for them to look that up for you.
Speaker ADo you use it for any sales or E commerce?
Speaker BNo, but I'm going to start looking into that.
Speaker BThat's a good idea.
Speaker BI always forget about SEO.
Speaker BI shouldn't.
Speaker BI'm terrible.
Speaker BInventory and operations forecasting tools with AI toast and square.
Speaker BA lot of your POs use AI all the time.
Speaker BYou don't even realize that you're utilizing it.
Speaker AYou can't talk to anybody.
Speaker AOh, I have their phone numbers.
Speaker AIf anybody needs the, The Phone numbers for the POS I use.
Speaker AI have it.
Speaker BAll right, good to know.
Speaker BCall Kelly.
Speaker AYeah.
Speaker AI need a robot to come to the restaurant and actually input the inventory, because that's why we don't do inventory.
Speaker BRight.
Speaker AWe do inventory on certain products that we're watching.
Speaker ABut you.
Speaker AThere's just too much.
Speaker ARight.
Speaker AWhere's the robot AI that's going to come in and do that?
Speaker AWhere's the.
Speaker AWhat is the.
Speaker AThe robot waiter that comes through?
Speaker BYeah.
Speaker AThey do the inventory for me.
Speaker BI mean, I think.
Speaker BI feel like BJ's has a robot that goes around doing inventory.
Speaker AYeah.
Speaker ABut, like, in the restaurant, it's not like you can scan boxes.
Speaker ARight.
Speaker ALike, everything's out and open and on shelves or in the fridge.
Speaker BRight.
Speaker BAnyways.
Speaker BYes.
Speaker BAnd Finance QuickBooks has AI tools.
Speaker BThere's a bunch of other ones, Google sheets.
Speaker BYou can utilize it for all that stuff as well.
Speaker AOne of the things that one of our boss members has used AI for.
Speaker AI don't know if I'd recommend it.
Speaker AThis is not a recommendation episode.
Speaker AThis is an informational episode of things people are using it for.
Speaker ANot necessarily things we would tell you to use it for, but they use AI to read some contracts.
Speaker BYeah.
Speaker AAnd point out where they needed to be better protected.
Speaker BI mean, I don't think that's a bad thing.
Speaker AI'm just saying I don't want to be like, oh, don't go to a lawyer.
Speaker BBut I think, you know, I think that's a good start.
Speaker AYeah.
Speaker BI think, again, I think this is always a good.
Speaker BA good start.
Speaker BA jumping off point.
Speaker AYes.
Speaker AAll right, so how do you get started with AI?
Speaker BPick one and start.
Speaker BYeah.
Speaker BDon't ever think it.
Speaker BThere's a lot of free versions.
Speaker BThere's a lot of paid versions.
Speaker BWhen I was, like, when I was doing that PowerPoint or that presentation, there was a bunch that I looked at and I played around with a bunch of them.
Speaker BThere was one that cost.
Speaker BIt was.
Speaker BThere was like a free trial for a week.
Speaker BLike, well, I only need one.
Speaker AYeah.
Speaker BSo I did the free trial, and then I.
Speaker BThen I canceled it.
Speaker AAnd if you like it or not, I do like that.
Speaker AYou can ask it to change things, regardless of the one you pick.
Speaker AI think they all kind of work that way.
Speaker BRight.
Speaker ALike in a friendlier voice or in a more professional voice.
Speaker BRight.
Speaker BYeah.
Speaker BI like this, too.
Speaker BSaid that.
Speaker BAnd I like that AI is telling this.
Speaker BStay human.
Speaker BAI is a tool, not a replacement for your gut or your values, because.
Speaker AIt'S pulling the information from The Internet.
Speaker AThis is what the Internet's telling AI to say, right?
Speaker BYeah.
Speaker ATrain your team.
Speaker AMake sure they understand that it is not a fact checker.
Speaker ALet's look at some.
Speaker ABefore we get into the.
Speaker AThe last of it, let's look at some other things.
Speaker APeople are doing brainstorming sessions.
Speaker AI talked to somebody last week that uses Gemini when they're driving because they're in their own head and their thought process is going crazy.
Speaker AAnd they're a small business owner, and so they put Gemini on and they start asking Gemini questions.
Speaker AAnd Gemini asks them probing questions about what they say to make them think deeper.
Speaker AAnd then they.
Speaker BIt's like therapy.
Speaker AOkay, well, talk therapy is listed on here.
Speaker AMultiple people that we talk to.
Speaker AAbsolutely.
Speaker BSherry, we're talking to you.
Speaker BI didn't know what you said that.
Speaker ABefore because to therapy is expensive and sometimes we just need someone to talk to.
Speaker BI'll be honest.
Speaker BI did that once.
Speaker BI there.
Speaker BI had a really bad review and there were so many.
Speaker BIt was a one star review and there were.
Speaker BThere were several pieces in there that I didn't know.
Speaker BIt gave me such a gut reaction.
Speaker BI did not quite know how I wanted to respond.
Speaker BThere were a couple things that.
Speaker BThat were so inappropriate.
Speaker BOne, there were comments about one of our servers that was underage.
Speaker BAnd I really needed the right words because the words I wanted to use were not right.
Speaker BAnd I wanted to get the message out there and I wanted it to be very professional because I wanted everybody that read it to know how serious we take things like this.
Speaker BSo I needed AI to be.
Speaker BI needed.
Speaker BI needed help with how it was going to respond to this.
Speaker BAnd I usually do my own responses because I really want them to be in my own words.
Speaker BI can.
Speaker BI don't like reading review responses.
Speaker BOne day, I can tell it's AI, but I needed help.
Speaker BAnd so AI gave me some great responses.
Speaker BI reworked it into my own words and at the end I did thank you.
Speaker BI didn't know about the thank you then.
Speaker BAnd it responded back like, no problem.
Speaker BI know it's really hard.
Speaker BAnd I was, like, teary.
Speaker BI was like, man, it's really hard, man.
Speaker BIt's fucking tough to be a restaurant owner and like, employing these young, young kids.
Speaker BLike it.
Speaker BIt's my whole heart.
Speaker AYeah.
Speaker BTo be somebody's first paycheck, like that moment when you're somebody's first, like, just knowing that.
Speaker BI love it.
Speaker BI love it.
Speaker BBut to see somebody write something about, oh, I was one of your kids.
Speaker ALivid.
Speaker AYeah.
Speaker BOh, feel Free to go.
Speaker BLeave us one.
Speaker BFive star reviews, four star whatever stars leave us good reviews.
Speaker AFive.
Speaker AIt's always five.
Speaker ASo other things aside from therapy.
Speaker ATherapy and brainstorming are great.
Speaker AEmails and blogs.
Speaker AWe talked about auto replies, research, personal or business.
Speaker AYou can get demographics and use your market research.
Speaker AYou just have to keep digging.
Speaker AI don't know if you can read my handwriting.
Speaker AWriting your resume, asking for it to switch it up to have a different tone.
Speaker AWe kind of talked about that, but one of our members was like, yeah, on Monday days all my emails go through and I'm like, I need this to sound less.
Speaker APlease help note assist for meetings and email threads.
Speaker AI know a lot of people use different companies depending on what they have access to.
Speaker AEven like zoom meetings and stuff.
Speaker AI know you can like record your zoom and it'll.
Speaker AWhat was the one that kept popping in to our recordings?
Speaker AOh, the AI system kept popping in to the recordings.
Speaker BI think blogs is huge.
Speaker BI think people are doing articles all the time.
Speaker BAnd just being able to input your article into AI and having it pull out the key points and getting that into a blog, that's a huge thing, a huge time saver.
Speaker AOne of our members uses it as a virtual assistant to keep her on task.
Speaker ASo she will give it a schedule of what she needs to do.
Speaker AAnd when she finds herself veering off task, she will tell AI, I'm being off task, I need help getting back on.
Speaker AAnd it would be like, okay, where were we at?
Speaker AAnd like, gets her refocused and like on the next thing.
Speaker AIt's crazy.
Speaker BI love it.
Speaker AI love this one.
Speaker AThey used it to read their human design gene key and astrological.
Speaker AAstrological chart to set goals, time management and business plans based on their own unique human code.
Speaker AWhich makes me feel really sad because we just talked to Mel about.
Speaker BCan you read my headache?
Speaker BYes.
Speaker BWhat?
Speaker AAnd I don't love that.
Speaker AYou know, we love Mel and we want to support Mal and that's what Mel does for a living, but that's insane.
Speaker ADidn't know you could do that on air.
Speaker BThat's insane.
Speaker BOkay, good to know.
Speaker BI need to figure out who that was and talk to them.
Speaker BThat's crazy.
Speaker ASpeaking of Magnus, he said today that he.
Speaker AWhen he has to post the same content in multiple places, he uses AI to switch it up just a little bit so that it's the same content he wrote, but it's not the exact same wording every time.
Speaker BGotcha.
Speaker ASo that way you're not boring if you're getting the same people A friend of mine said that they took photos of themselves and asked it what their color season was.
Speaker BOh, interesting.
Speaker AIt's soft summer for them, by the way.
Speaker BGood to know.
Speaker AGood to know.
Speaker ASo I love it.
Speaker AA lot of.
Speaker AChatGPT is my new best friend.
Speaker AThis is what I need to say about something.
Speaker ACan you make me sound less bitchy, annoyed or angry?
Speaker BOh, my gosh, these are hysterical.
Speaker AI asked last night what to make from leftover mashed potatoes.
Speaker AOption one failed, but option two works.
Speaker BI asked GPT everything.
Speaker AI want to know what option two was.
Speaker BMe too.
Speaker BWe'll be over for dinner.
Speaker AThere are a lot of things we could be using it for.
Speaker BThat's fantastic.
Speaker AThey just need to figure out how to do it so it's not ruining the world.
Speaker BRight.
Speaker ASo those were.
Speaker AThose are just some of the unique uses.
Speaker BI love it.
Speaker AThat people are coming up with for AI, which is amazing.
Speaker AAnd that's what I love about humans.
Speaker AYou give us something and everybody's doing a different thing with it.
Speaker BRight.
Speaker ADidn't know you could do half that stuff.
Speaker BAbsolutely.
Speaker ASo we're at.
Speaker AAccording to ChatGPT, right?
Speaker AWe're at ethical uses and cautions, which I think we already covered.
Speaker AFact checking.
Speaker ADon't use it for legal decisions.
Speaker BYeah.
Speaker AReset copyright.
Speaker BYes.
Speaker APlagiarism.
Speaker ABe transparent.
Speaker AAnd the future is now.
Speaker BAnd it's weird.
Speaker AAnd it's weird.
Speaker AWe don't know what to call them.
Speaker ADoes ChatGPT have pronouns?
Speaker BI don't know.
Speaker BWe could ask.
Speaker AYeah, but then I'd be wasting water.
Speaker BDon't do that.
Speaker AIt's so ethical.
Speaker AUnethical.
Speaker AEthical questioning.
Speaker AEthical questioning about AI.
Speaker BRight.
Speaker AI don't know where I sit.
Speaker BIt's.
Speaker BI love this.
Speaker BEncourage adaptability.
Speaker BIt's not the robots taking over.
Speaker BIt's the people who know how to use them who will thrive.
Speaker AThat's what the robot told you.
Speaker BI know, I know.
Speaker BBut I think there's a lot of really great, great uses.
Speaker BAnd not only that, but like you said, like, then it gives us this, gave us this tools, this 5 AI tools to try this week, it again.
Speaker BSo this is where I think it gets tricky.
Speaker BAnd I don't know how many people are doing this.
Speaker BSo then it asked me, after I had it write this episode for us, it said, do you want, you know, some handouts?
Speaker BAnd, like, these are things that people then go ahead and sell.
Speaker BSo I think this is where it gets really tricky.
Speaker ARight.
Speaker ASo what's the copyright on something a robot made?
Speaker BI.
Speaker BI don't think you can.
Speaker BI mean, Right.
Speaker ASo like.
Speaker ABut what would the legal implication be?
Speaker BI don't know.
Speaker AWe need a lawyer.
Speaker BI need a lawyer.
Speaker BRight.
Speaker BAnd are people.
Speaker BI mean, people are writing.
Speaker BI can't.
Speaker BI don't know people.
Speaker BThere's got.
Speaker BI mean, I would imagine there are ways to go.
Speaker BThere's got to be some programming that can go out and find if AI is writing books and articles and things.
Speaker ARight.
Speaker BI would think.
Speaker BBut I'm not a lawyer.
Speaker BBut anyway, I think some of the things that it pulls up are pretty cool.
Speaker BAnd I would love to rewrite some of these and turn these into things we could then offer as digital.
Speaker BYeah, digital downloads.
Speaker BWhether we would sell them or not is a different thing.
Speaker BBut I would certainly be rewriting them into our own.
Speaker AYour own.
Speaker BOur own things.
Speaker BBut I love that you can make images now.
Speaker BOne night I couldn't sleep and I wrote a.
Speaker BI'm not necessarily going to call it a religion or a cult, but it's for bossy.
Speaker BThat's the cults probably say Divine Hustle.
Speaker BIt's our own little cult.
Speaker BBut I told all the information into it because I really, like.
Speaker BI wrote like some commandments and some goddesses.
Speaker AJust when we live on like a giant plot of land with no one else.
Speaker BI just couldn't sleep and I just needed us all to have our own cult.
Speaker BBut anyway, I.
Speaker BI put it into chat GPT and it made me an image and it was really cool.
Speaker BAnd I was like, oh my gosh, is there anything you can't do?
Speaker BAnd I got nervous to ask that question.
Speaker ARight.
Speaker AYou have to stop at some point.
Speaker BStop at some point for sure.
Speaker BBut I don't know.
Speaker BI feel like I could write a book at this point.
Speaker BI'm sure I can.
Speaker BI feel like I'm being ignorant.
Speaker ARight.
Speaker A100%.
Speaker AIt's definitely written books.
Speaker ASo AI is here to help, not replace.
Speaker ABut it is capable of doing way more than we talked about in the past half an hour.
Speaker BRight.
Speaker AAnd don't be scared of it.
Speaker AIf you have stuff that you're having a hard time getting done, use it and don't feel bad about it.
Speaker BRight.
Speaker AYou can do something really green to offset it.
Speaker BRight.
Speaker BAnd if there's.
Speaker ATry to think like I am composting and doing things to try to offset all of my bad habits.
Speaker BYou do a lot of great things.
Speaker BAnd if there's stuff that you're using it for that we haven't talked about, please let us know because we'd love to share that with our listeners and our bossy Our bossy group.
Speaker AYeah.
Speaker AReach out to us at Bossy Rochester on Social B O S S Y R O C H E S T.
Speaker BE r or bossyrock gmail.com b o s s y dash r o c because we leave the K to us.
Speaker BThat's so much nicer when we're together.
Speaker AOh, that's really fun.
Speaker AI was gonna show you something else, but I don't know that I'm gonna find it in time.
Speaker ABut please follow us.
Speaker AReach out if you want to be on the show, if you have a topic for the show, and next time, I will share with you what it is I want to try to find for Kelly in the next five minutes.
Speaker ABe bold, be brave, Be the boss.
