These working conditions are clearly not okay.

They're dirty all the time.

They think people are coming to kill them.

I kind of think they're turning the goats into these people.

That's what's going on.

I don't know how Mark and his team fit into this, but I think they're turning goats into people.

So that's my cousin Shirelle, which I didn't even realize she was watching the show, so that's amazing.

Yeah.

And she's really obsessed with these goats.

I texted her the other day, and I was like, you should just represent these people because you're a lawyer, so they need some representation, and you.

You should do it.

Yeah, definitely some.

Some of her background sneaking into that voicemail, for sure.

I don't know about her theory about the goats turning into these people, but it is a good theory.

I mean, we don't know.

Maybe she's right.

They did talk about.

When they were talking about Ms.

Casey, one of the guys said, she said, my Audi likes the stars, so they have to be severed.

I don't know how often they leave, but they have to be if she's talking about their Audi, but who knows?

Yeah, I don't know.

Maybe they're getting paid more or maybe working with goats is payment enough.

Wow.

I don't know.

I don't know either.

I guess we'll have to keep watching and figure it out.

But now I'm going to be thinking about what Shirelle is wondering every time we see goats on screen.

Yes, me too.

Or goat people.

Dirty goat people.

But we are just a few days away from pretty disappointing Super Bowl.

It wasn't close at all.

Not a fun game.

We watched most of the first half and like the first drive of the second half and then turn that mess.

Off on the crazy soup halftime show.

Yeah, definitely.

It was better than the game at least.

But I'm way more excited about what we're about to talk about.

And that is episode four, season two.

Episode four is titled Woes Hollow.

The team participates in a group activity.

We begin episode four with Irving's innie being activated.

But this time we're not in the elevator.

We are on a lake.

A frozen lake in the middle of nowhere.

Yeah, it's bizarre for sure.

Irving begins shouting and trying to figure out who where he is, who's with him.

And Mark finally answers from the top of a cliff.

He goes to meet Mark up on the cliff and he runs into Heli and he asks where she came from.

She says, I don't know.

Once they meet Mark at the top of the cliff, we see Dylan come out of the woods and he has a really funny line there that we'll talk about later.

But they begin trying to figure out where they are and what they're doing here.

They turn and see a TV that is playing a video of Milchick and he says, hello refiners, it's Mr.

Milchick from work and I'm thrilled to welcome you to your first ever outdoor retreat and tea building occurrence, which they called the Ortbow.

Or the robot if you flipped him letters around.

And he says that this is in response to their desire to see the outside world.

Milchick begins to explain that they are in Dieter Egan National Forest.

And Dylan says, who the F is Dieter Egan?

As Milchick creepily paused for him to ask that question.

Milchick just smiles and then says, Dieter Egan, some of you may be quickly yearning to learn more.

Right after Dylan says that, which was super weird, he tells the team they have to find Kier's fourth appendage in a hidden cave and tells them that they'll have help along the way to get there.

Very video gamey.

Yeah, very video gamey sounding and very glitchy.

As the team starts heading towards the cave, they see an odd figure that looks very similar to Mark pointing into the woods.

And shortly, soon after, they see another weird figure that looks like heli pointing towards their way.

They finally reach the cave and the team finds a book with a Roman numeral 4 on it.

And the first page reads for Dieter.

In the first chapter of this book, we learn that Kier had a twin named Deeter.

And we also learn that they used to venture out into the woods that they called Woe's Hollow.

And that's where we get this episode's title, Woe's Hollow.

And Woes Hollow is this place that they are heading to, you know, has a.

Has some cool scenery, has a waterfall, has this scissor cave that they're heading for.

This waterfall.

Aubrey apparently tallest waterfall in the world.

Or at least that's what Milchek tells them.

Yeah, I mean, he just.

That dude just lies to lie.

Yeah, he is.

I don't know if he knows how to tell the truth.

You know, I just don't know if he does.

But they're off in search of this book, and you hear a little bit of some of the.

Some passages being read as they're on this path, seeing these shadow versions of themselves.

Super weird.

Also super weird that they don't actually approach any of them.

They get close enough to approach them.

I kind of had a problem with that.

This episode.

Like, I see someone that looks just like me or my friend, I'm at least gonna go, hey, who are you?

Yeah.

Try to talk to him.

Yeah.

And nothing.

Nothing.

But they're.

They're walking along, they find this cratcher, and they think that it's a seal.

I.

I don't know.

I really don't.

Irv wants to eat the thing for sustenance.

Like, you know, there's.

There's better things you could be doing.

Here and just probably better things you could be eating.

Like, it looked pretty gross.

Yeah.

Make a fire, you're out in the woods, you could pull something off.

But ain't no way I'm eating that.

Yeah.

No way.

Like, probably not even if it's fresh, but definitely not after whatever it has going on.

Mm.

So, yeah, it was.

It was shortly after that you saw Melch talking about that waterfall, tallest one in the world.

And those strange twin like, things above the waterfall staring at them.

Yeah.

Milchick, by the way, just an immaculate dresser.

Yeah.

In this snow white coat and hat.

While they're all in these Russian black winter outfits.

Mm.

And we see a couple of Instances here where Irv is just not trusting Heli.

Yeah, he's.

He's not letting it go.

What's with this?

Night gardener.

Yeah.

Who were you talking to?

What were you talking to her about?

Mark.

What were they wearing?

So, you know, they get to this clearing where there is four tents set up.

Mm.

One for each of the MDR team.

And Milchick hands Mark a torch.

Said it could be used for warmth or for light.

First time.

Probably seeing fire for them.

Yeah.

I think Mark calls it beautiful.

Yeah.

You.

I mean, look at his eyes when he sees that thing.

Yeah.

It's amazing.

What you don't see is a fifth and sixth tent for Ms.

Wong and Melchik.

So where are they sleeping?

Nobody knows.

Yeah.

And Ms.

Wong is playing the theremin and it's awesome.

Yeah, I want one.

Where was that thing plugged into?

I don't know, but I.

I feel like I could kind of play one.

Like, it wouldn't sound like anything, but, like, it's not like I just pick up a guitar and people know right away, I don't know what I'm doing.

The theremin.

I think it'd take a few more minutes before someone realized, I don't know what I'm doing.

Yeah.

But they're telling campfire stories.

And of course, it's all Egan related.

And heli.

Heli just won't give up this thing about spilling lineage on the soil.

Mm.

Laughing about it.

Yeah.

Very rude.

I guess, in Milcheck size.

Oh, yeah.

That dude was mad.

Yeah.

He said, you only get no marshmallows.

Dump them in the fire.

Dump them in the fire.

And those things, I thought they looked pretty good, to be honest.

I don't know about the.

The Egan face on it, but other than that, I thought they looked pretty good.

They kind of look like if you took a Klondike bar and just took away the chocolate.

Chocolate.

Yeah.

An ice cream sandwich without the sandwich.

A block of ice cream.

And then Helly goes into Irv's tent to kind of like offer a peace offering.

But I think she was really just kind of antagonizing a little bit more.

She made this little seal made out of snow.

She's like, oh, in case you get hungry.

Yeah.

Which is kind of mean.

It was.

But she also, when they were there at the campfire, you know, she's like, hey, you know, Irv's just mad because he'll never see Bert again.

Because again, these innies, to them, that's death when you don't come back that that person is dead to them.

So that's rough.

That's a couple pretty rough statements.

Well, I get, I.

It is rough.

Irving, though, he was jabbing her about her story again about what happened during the otc.

So I mean, maybe she felt like he had it coming.

I don't know.

Yeah, it was incredibly mean.

And then Mark pops into Heli's tent while she's in there and you know, saying like, Irv doesn't know what he's talking about.

He was kind of overreacting.

He can make goo goo eyes at whoever he wants.

And then all sudden they're.

They're getting a little more friendly little after work type activities during work, which.

What does your Audi think when they didn't go to sleep that night?

That's.

Yeah, it's probably the first time the Audis haven't gone to sleep.

Yeah, that's weird.

But yeah, they, they get it hot and heavy.

They're getting some data being refined right there.

We get that really interesting looking shot as they are together of their hands together going across the screen and then revealing Irv out in the wilderness.

Just kind of done with it all.

I think he's kind of stormed out.

And trips the torch goes out and he just kind of gives up.

He's like, well, I'm gonna sleep and die here.

Yep.

Finds a rock, curls up and just.

Yeah.

And I can't imagine how bad he would feel after waking up the next morning sleeping on an icy rock.

I mean, dudes, dude's quite a bit older than me and I know how I would feel.

No, thank you.

No.

But he goes to sleep, which we don't really see them do too often.

Although season one, when he went to sleep, he drifted off, saw some paint.

Yeah, Little stuff seeping through.

Seeping.

This time he's going to sleep.

And it's a lot weirder.

A lot weirder.

He sees Bert at an MDR desk across from him in the middle of these weird, creepy woods.

Isn't that where Mark would be sitting?

No, maybe not.

Yeah, I don't, I don't know.

Maybe Dylan.

I don't know.

And then across from him diagonally, is the same weird, creepy bride from the Egan story.

I think it's.

They called her.

Whoa.

Yeah, it's.

Yeah, she.

She creepy.

Like typing at a computer and real twitchy.

And then all of a sudden she stops typing, but the noise keeps going on.

Yeah.

And then we see some numbers changing on Irving's screen that turn into letters.

I think the letters made A picture of Heli.

And the letter spelled Egan.

So something seeped through once again.

So when he wakes up, it's on.

He knows he's out for blood, so he goes down to the waterfall where it will drown out.

Whoa.

The sound of the waterfall is supposed to drown out the woe.

Mm.

And Hallie's there, which I really don't understand why she was there.

Yeah, I don't either.

But she wanted to look at that tallest waterfall.

Yeah, yeah.

Take it all in.

What's that thing, like, 35ft?

You know, it's like.

I'm sure it looks cool.

Tallest waterfall it is not.

But he says, hey, kid.

Like he would say in Mostly in season one, and does not get the response that he's looking for.

Because didn't she always say, like, you can stop saying, like, everybody would say, you can stop saying that.

Or we talked about this.

Then Irv says that what she said last night was cruel and that Heli R was never cruel.

Never cruel.

He knows, like, we knew.

Yeah.

That.

That's not Heli.

That is Helena Egan, and he's gonna do something about it.

Mm.

So he drags her off towards the little creek coming out of this waterfall and starts to dunk her head underwater.

And Melchik, Dylan, Mark all appear because there's yelling, commotion going on, and Irv is like, send her.

Switch her back.

Bring.

Bring back Heli.

This is a mole.

It's a mole.

Yeah.

She's an Egan.

And, you know, he's demanding, like, switch her back.

And then finally Helena says, do it, Seth.

And then.

Then Irv is just like, yes, do it, Seth.

Yeah, do it, Seth.

Yeah.

The way that, like, visceral way he said that, it was.

It was pretty awesome.

Yeah.

So Mailchuk does radio out to someone.

I'm guessing, Ms.

Wong, we don't see, but I'm.

You know, I don't know who else it would be.

Maybe Mr.

Drummond.

Yeah.

Maybe.

We've never seen him related to this at all, but it definitely could be.

We don't know that he wasn't.

So we see poor Heli get that same camera shift back to being Heli instead of Helena underwater.

What a terrible way to wake up.

Yeah.

Literally being shoved off the stage.

Yes.

And then he comes up and knows it's her and.

And hugs her, and he says, I'm so sorry.

Yeah, I'm sorry I did it to you.

I'm not sorry I did it to her.

Yeah.

Crazy.

So then we have Milchick come down from the waterfall, and Mark does too.

And Milchick is so pissed.

He's like.

He's like, stand up now.

Yeah.

Using that teacher voice.

We see Irving stand up and he gives them this long monologue about how he is fired and he is never coming back, and this is the end of his existence as he knows it.

Yeah.

And.

Yeah.

So mean.

Yeah.

And Dylan tries to apologize for not believing Irv earlier.

And Irvin looks at him, Irving looks at him and he says, just remember, hang in there.

Yeah.

I thought that was so weird.

It is an odd turn of phrase, but it could mean something else.

Yeah.

You know, we have seen a poster that says hanging there.

One where it shows what looks like Dylan switching the two switches.

You know, stretched out like he did at the end of the first season.

Overtime contingency.

Who knows?

Who knows what that means?

But we get.

Irving get that little camera shift switching back, and then we kind of cut to black.

Yeah.

So I have some observations about this episode.

And the first one is I noticed at the campfire when Heli is laughing hysterically about this lineage being spilled.

Yeah.

Dylan starts laughing, and then Milchick shoots him like a How dare you Look.

And he.

He just stills.

He's like, oh, yeah, I shouldn't be laughing.

He's got dirt on Dylan.

He's got some leverage.

Yeah.

Dylan's wanting to see his Audi's wife again.

Yeah, he is.

And then I thought it was very bizarre how it took Mark and Milchick no time to get down from that waterfall.

You'd think it would have taken them a little longer.

It surely looked like it was.

Yeah, a bit of a hike.

Yeah.

But it was like they were there in 30 seconds or less.

And because it didn't take them that long at all, like, while Irving was dunking Helena's head, Milchick could have been down there and stopped him.

Like, it just.

Just didn't make any sense.

Maybe.

Yeah.

I mean, if Irv is already acting that crazy, you don't know how much you want to push it.

But yeah, yeah, maybe he could have.

And then we never get to see Irving's twin alone giving directions.

We only saw the other three and then them together.

I thought that was interesting.

And my last observation that I wanted to give is about this Glasgow block that they had to remove from Heli.

Yeah.

Milchick says it's Milchick remove the Glasgow block now, which changes her from Heli Helena to Heli R.

Yeah, we've never heard of the Glasgow block before.

Maybe we've seen it.

And I just didn't realize it, but I just.

Yeah, it's weird.

I have a couple questions after this episode.

Okay.

Like, is this really real?

Are they in this real winter wonderland?

Lots of things seem like you, you know, you talked about that theremin.

Was it plugged in?

Where did Milchick sleep?

You know, there's several things that are just off to make me think, like, I'm not sure that it's real, that this is all on the up and up.

Irving said he almost froze to death sleeping outside, but he clearly didn't freeze to death.

He wasn't blue or anything.

And if it is real, how did the Audis get there?

How did they get Irving to walk onto the middle of a frozen lake?

Yeah, I have a hard time seeing that.

So it feels like they have.

They're exerting something else control wise that we don't know that they've, you know, been possible.

Whether or not it's.

It's, you know, a virtual reality or some kind of extra sensory thing they have going on, or it's just.

They were able to just directly remote control them to put them on this frozen lake.

I.

I don't know.

They did talk about this being a team building activity, and I noticed from someone's.

They posted a map online and it showed there being a team building area on the map.

So I wonder.

Yeah, they just have a giant underground.

Yeah.

Team building area.

Yeah.

Or maybe a giant VR setup.

That'd be cool.

Probably don't.

If you've got the chip, you probably don't have to wear goggles.

Just flip on the Glasgow whatever and get on in there.

Yeah.

What if it's the.

What was that?

Slumber time contingency or something.

Maybe.

Maybe one of those other ones.

Yeah.

All right.

And then we got some Dylan's famous lines.

So first Dylan says, I knew there'd be no ceiling, but it's effing insane.

Yeah, he was.

He was shocked.

He.

Yeah, he.

He didn't know what to think about this.

Sky.

When Milchick talks about Keir's twin has always been with him.

So we provided the same for each of you.

And Dylan says, f you all.

I was right.

And last, when Milchick's reading the book saying that Kier went to the waterfall to drown out his brother's cries, Dylan says, that's actually really smart.

Like, his timing is so good with it too.

And I.

I don't know if that was editing, but it was.

It was great.

I kind of think the.

That's actually really smart is the best one.

I'm not going to argue with you.
